You get what you pay for… I was a walk in for a mani and pedi and was able to get in right away. After picking a color and sitting in the pedicure chair for about 15 mins 2 of the employees came to me and I was then told my mani and pedi would be done simultaneously because they had someone else coming in in 15 mins. I wish I had been told this from the get go and I would have come back after running the rest of my errands. It came out decently but it felt a bit rushed. Also didn’t feel like the cleanest of places.

I went in for brow waxing and wasn’t too impressed. She did not shape my eyebrows as I wanted and there were still some hairs underneath.
I changed my review rating of this place because I received a call from the salon and was able to see that they truly care about their customers. I was offered another chance to have my brows done once the hairs had grown back a bit more at no charge. I understand I needed to let the hairs grow back in a bit more before achieving a better shape. The woman was incredibly sympathetic to my opinion and very professional. I look forward to coming back and having my brows shaped again. Thank you Mango Salon. This place has values.

I chipped my pinky nail when picking up my luggage. Argh. Luckily, I stumbled upon this place and they were able to work on me immediately without an appointment and within the time-​frame allotted. It was $ 38 for a mani and pedi. The thing I like about here is that they line the pedi-​tub and they use a new pumice stone and nail filer for each customer so very sanitary. The massage on the pedi-​chair was okay (I was disappointed that the buttocks massage wasn’t working). They have a good selection of nail colors for OPI and Essie. They also offer hair salon services. If I had more time, I would have gotten my hair done too. Next time! I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again if I was in the area.

The first time I went here my gel manicure lasted less than a week. They very generously offered me a redo at no charge which caused a very painful infection requiring antibiotics. Since it cleared up nicely I thought it was a fluke so I kept my next appointment. Now I am suffering from yet another painful infection for which I will call my doctor again for antibiotics. These manicures have been painful and expensive requiring medication. I believe they should sanitize their instruments better. I won’t go there again.

I’m in love with this nail salon, I’m forever picky about my nails. All the sides and corners of my nails has to be painted, no smudges on the cuticle, don’t cut too much skin, when doing pedicure I hate it when the technicians tell me I have «ingrown» nail and proceed to pull the corners of my toe nails out. Not only is that painful it can lead to infection and what not. But anyway to the good stuff, this salon does NONE of that, Everything is perfect and sanitary, the pedicure chairs are new and the tub are line with a disposal liners so you know your not soaking your feet in other peoples gunk. The files, buffer and pumice are all one time use and thrown away. Plus they have a variety of colors to choose from unlike other salons. I got a pedicure and polish change, Nina was my technician she was very friendly and courteous the whole time I was there all the staff spoke English and never gave me the feeling they were talking about me. I love this Salon and definitively recommend it!

2 stars because the women were SO kind and stayed open for my emergency pedicure!
As per my usual procrastinating self, I needed a pedicure urgently because Eid was on Monday and my usual place was closed for whatever reason. I called Mango and the sweetest woman picked up the phone and told me that while they were closing, if I needed it they would stay open for me!
Once I got there, they sat me down and started the water and asked if the temperature was okay which I loved. Here’s where things left me unsatisfied; she (I didn’t get her name) didn’t trim or shape my nails at all. She did file and buff them, but that’s all. Okay not the biggest deal — I went with it hoping she’d get to it eventually before the polish but no, she dove right into that. That’s my second issue, I was having a French manicure done and the white tips were completely crooked. I should’ve taken a picture.
Needless to say, I wasn’t very happy as I was leaving and paid $ 33 for a crooked pedi. I really appreciate that they stayed open and did it for me, but I won’t be back

Linda, the owner, is friendly and easy to communicate with. She is committed to deliver the highest quality services. Whoever does the job, she will personally QC so you are completely satisfied before walking out the door, however long it make take, even it means she has to re-​do everything. I will definitely come back again.

After my previous review I was contacted by Nina, she offered to redo my nails and I took her on the offer, however I was under the impression they would fix both manicure and pedicure, i still appreciated the gesture of fixing it. They did a good job in my hands, i picked another color for my hands and asked them to remove my pedicure color. The salon needs improvement. I am sorry but I am not sure I will go back under the actual circumstances.
I do not want to give them a low rating because they did fix the issue and I appreciate the follow up.

I really like this place — I get manicures and pedicures and they are always very friendly, attentive, and their work lasts a long time. They also often have specials and they have a «frequent visitor» card that will eventually get you a free service after a certain number of visits. They are reasonably priced even without their specials.
The atmosphere is also very nice — new massage chairs and a very well maintained store. I always had a different person and have never been disappointed.
The place can be hard to find though — it’s in the same shopping center as the Giant and the Popeyes on Rockville Pike. Once you see the Popeyes, go all the way back towards the train tracks — one of the last shops in the strip.
I would highly recommend!

I agree with the last review. I found this place because I followed my nail tech, Annie, when she switched locations. I’ve never had a better nail tech. I’ve been getting pink and white acrylic nails for many years and no one does it as well as Annie. Thus, for the last 3 years I’ve only seen her. She also is great with pedicures and ingrown toenails. The others in the shop are also very nice and friendly. I recommend it highly.

I’ve been coming back regularly since I first went back in September and things have only gotten better! One of my favorite nail techs in the area who previously worked at VB Nails and Spa (also in Rockville) is now here and ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL! Her name is Annie and she really listens to what you want and the entire treatment is relaxing.
I usually come after work and instead of hearing the typical gossiping you normally hear at other salons, I am in a deep relaxed state of mind. As I said in my last review, I am really particular about my nail designs and they have always perfected them, including Annie.
They also serve little snacks and homemade Vietnamese food (for free!) for holidays like Chinese New Year, which is a kind gesture. When I went last month, they served delicious egg rolls.
They have proven to me that they value regular customers like myself (and know my name almost every time at the front desk) and that is why I continue coming back!

The staff at this little salon are lovely… friendly and professional. I was treated to a complimentary neck and shoulder massage while I had my nails done. Unfortunately, the gel manicure I received was sub-​par. I was told it would last several weeks, but by the end of week one, the polish was peeling off.
It’s a little out of the way for me to have gone back for a re-​do, but I suspect they probably would have honored it. I really want to like them…
Last, despite the name, they really are a nail salon, not a «spa» although as mentioned, they do offer massage services by appointment.

I had a gel manicure done at this salon a couple of months ago. While the experience was overall average for a nail salon, I was a bit grossed out by the lack of cleanliness of the desks and the technician’s hands. The french manicure wasn’t very neatly done. I had a paraffin hand treatment and the technician didn’t fully remove the paraffin off my hands before applying a hand lotion that mixed with the chunks of paraffin and felt really awfully on my hands. I walked out eager to get home to wash off the gunk left on my hands and nails. Wouldn’t go there again.

I used an Amazon Local coupon yesterday to obtain a gel manicure, and they were awesome! Their color selection is plentiful! Their prices are reasonable, too! Most importantly, it’s clean and the owners are so nice. Don’t waste your time going to Nails 4 You up the street on Frederick Road – the owner Tony is nasty and rude – instead, head over to this little gem and enjoy great service at reasonable prices!

Im talking about both — prices and customer service. They always inform you any charges in advanced, ask for your permission and constantly check on everything.

my gel looks very shiny and from what they have told me its gonna last very long time (around 2 – 3 weeks without being chipped). The reason why i give them 5 stars because they are very gentle with my hands and feet and treat my body like theirs. I really appreciate it .
Even though, some of the staffs do not speak much English but they do understand most of your request, they r experts. Also, they try to talk to you, keep you company and feel as much comfortable and relaxing as you can.

i dont know where to start but this place is awesome… i love this plce so much … i just actually moved here around 2 months ago, since im new to this town and really dont know much to do so last weekend i decided to go. And i have to say this is going to be my new lil gem… this place is so awesome.
came in and asked for full set, i had to wait a lil bit but it didnt bother me, its not too busy or too slow. the atmosphere is very relaxing, not like other nail salons just try to get you in and get u out in a heart beatt with a sloppy job. THIS PLACE IS NOTHING LIKE THAT, they know how to run their business well, they take their time on every single customer .
And yes, its amazing when this is the first nail salon i ever been to that the nail tech actually talks to you and keeps you company. We just talked about everything, my nail tech is extremely nice.
So i picked out the color where my nail tech told me its not a very nice color, then at the same time she explained that she didnt try to be offensive, however i stil chose it and i realized i should have listened to her, well anyways it was my decision. But what surprised me is she actually removed the polish and redid the paint which was very nice of her.

I was devastated to find out the previous owner Mary had sold her business when i showed up for my regular mani, pedi. New name, new faces… im not one for change, though i am a loyal customer, but when i walked in there i thought Mary had just changed the name of her place. After finding out what had actually happened, i still decided to give them a try. They seemed pleasant and like the person below mentioned, a bit too keen on having me try all their services for the grand opening in the salon. Even the hairdresser came and touched my hair and said i could have it done there for a ridiculous price– no thanks!
Anyway, i used to pay about $ 28 for a pedicure but paid $ 48 for the same service i used to get. I spoke to someone who used to get haircuts there and he confirmed his price had also doubled. Their prices have sky rocketed and sadly, I don’t think ill be returning there. I hope perhaps they can eventually reduce their prices to keep the same customers who used to visit over the years.
In all, to be fair, the service i received was not that bad. Im reviewing this based on the fact that i went there for 6years and walked in one day and the name, faces, service and prices have changed. I used to have a personal box and found out all that has been thrown away.

I went here for their opening and they had all their services 50% off.

This was my first mani and pedi in the Rockville area and I don’t know if I truly enjoyed it. I think I’m just used to much better service as far as the actual mani-​pedis go.
The girl who was working on my nails was nice enough, but she kept trying to tell me to get all these other services they offer. I really don’t appreciate a sales pitch when I’m just trying to relax.
On that day, they had a spread for their customers from Popeye. Not that I could enjoy anything since I’m vegetarian, but it was a nice touch. I did sip on the iced tea while I was there.
I’m kind of undecided on this place, I may just give it another shot if they have a 50% off deal going again. Definitely not going there for their full price. Did not seem worth it.
