I have noticed some of the reviews for this place are not favorable, however I have not had a bad experience here. I came here for a quick dinner at the bar before meeting a friend on a Friday. The guy who served me at the bar was very friendly and attentive from the moment I sat down. The place was not really crowded at all. I had 2 glasses of wine and their truffle mac n cheese with chicken. This meal is probably close to the top of my list of mac n cheeses I have had! So creamy and filling, and a very generous portion for a good price! I think their happy hour specials are a big selling point for them as well. I just think being in Rockville Town Center, it might be hard for them to compete with the other restaurants around, since it is mostly standard American fare. The other new places popping are probably alluring to a lot of people, but I wouldn’t forget about this place! Nothing wrong with good olé hardy food. I would definitely go back!

Came a couple months ago and ordered soup. My friend ordered a greek turkey burger that she really enjoyed. The soup was can quality, so bad that I had to return it. Service was very gracious and asked no questions. Ended up ordering what she ordered and it was delicious. $ 13.50 for that burger was too high though, would’ve been more appropriately priced couple dollars lower. Going on the soup alone, I’d give it one star but the burger was quite good so I’ll give it two. Open to going back and trying it again.

Their food is okay at best. I prefer to stick to salads when I go there. I had the meatloaf and found it to be too spicy for my taste. My friend ordered the Cajun jambalaya and sent it back because it was cold. I’ve gone back a few times, but only when it is suggested by someone else.

Good if you just wanna get a seat somewhere since all the other places in the Town Center are so busy. Bad if you wanna actually eat good food. It’s amazingly uncrowded, which is probably because the service and food are so mediocre. Guess everyone already knows this place isn’t all that.

Biggest mistake for Mother’s Day. Buffet food dried out. Screaming child — and I mean screaming — went on and on for 30 minutes no effort to take the child for a walk or anything. When spoke to manager, was told he would not do anything about it. The place is a total joke.

I had my crab cake sandwich it was good! Salad was good. I’ve ordered the wings during happy hour it was kind of dry wasn’t fresh. Manager was nice he let me use his lighter. But told me not to smoke outside on the patio since customers might not be a smoker like me. I’ll come back try other food as well.

Happy hour appetizers excellent. Love fish tacos and Phoenix wings(spices dry rub). Also enjoyed mussels but other two much better. Hapoy hour wines use to be higher brands, now Canyon Road, so passed and happy White Cosmo which was a good choice. Service good. Only disappointments, consistently had problems with free WiFi so turned it off. Also checked into Unilocal answer pleasantly surprised to get 10% off food. Employee told me to accept now vs save for later and then manager stated not good for happy hour which I understand but now I lost discount and 10% off happy hour would be less than on regular meals, so should have honored. Oh well, enjoyed food and drink.

American Tap Room is an OK restaurant. Nothing special, not terrible either, not particularly consistent, but not usually unpleasant. For a place called American Tap Room, the beer selection is pretty weak. They have a few craft beers on tap, but they could do much better. I usually get the Turkey burger when I go(not often), which is, once again, OK, and a bit inconsistent. The best thing about this place is the outdoor seating, which is really nice in the summer. I’m willing to give it a pass on other issues often because I enjoy sitting outside. I wouldn’t seek out American Tap Room, but if you are in the area, and want to eat at the sort of place American Tap Room is, it probably won’t terribly disappoint.

This is for their Sunday Brunch, which is terrible. The scrambled eggs were dry as a bone; tater tots cold and my wife said the Prime Rib was as tough as leather(I couldn’t check it — by the time I went back to try to get some, they were out). A couple of times I was by I looked for the omelet station cook, but no one was around. It takes a bit of expertise to run a buffet, and obviously these people don’t have it. They really need to find someone to teach them how to keep their food hot and moist. The only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 was our waiter. He was very friendly and attentive, keeping our drinks filled and quickly clearing away our plates. He made the visit pleasant and would be the only reason I would go back there.

I went on a Sunday night for a friends birthday. Everyone was running late, so I sat at the bar to wait. To my surprise, they had happy hour on weekends. It was surprisingly not busy either. You have to try the ATR RasMo. By the name, I thought it was a raspberry mojito, but it’s actually a raspberry martini. It was amazing. I’ll have to go back — hard to find happy hour on weekends! :)

Don’t waste your time or money here. Service was TERRIBLE. We ended up coming here for happy hour and the bartender ended up serving the high tops. Understandably if the bar was busy, then her high tops were at a disadvantage. BUT for a Thursday HH, it was not busy at all. Food and drink specials were mediocre. Pricey if anything. With that said, there are SO many better options for HH in the Rockville area. Go elsewhere people.

I took my family for dinner. This was valentine’s day so I was surprised there were not that many customers. We started off with the pretzel appetizer. This is a popular appetizer that comes with many side toppings. I enjoyed the marshmallow topping. The Maryland crab soup was spicy, and tasted good. My main dish was the chicken and waffle dinner. An usual combination that went well together. The chicken was moist and I loved the combination. Mild and light tasting dish that I would order again. Another person had the 12 ounce primer rib and said he would order it again. Our waiter was the only server for the entire restaurant that night; nevertheless, he was friendly and provided good service. The place does have background music from the 1990s. The total cost for dinner for four was $ 120, including drinks.

This was my first time at ATR and I loved it! I got the blackened chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. The wrap was delicious but a little dry. The tortilla wrapping was so cool and went great with the grilled chicken. The fries were to die for and so addicting! My server was so kind and sweet, constantly checking up on us and giving us details on the menu. Definitely will come back to try something else!!!

This review is only for their brunch buffet. To sum up, it is horrible. Order from their regular menu, avoid the brunch buffet. You will be happy you did. Spoiler alert: They have individual sized cereal boxes in the buffet. Um, this is not a continental breakfast at The Marriot. Get it together.

This review is for HH. Ordered an ATR burger and a Watermelon Martini. The martini was good; I will have it again minus the seeds in my drink. I had a fear of them coming up my straw as I sipped. For the burger, I asked for no caramelized onions and for it to be medium well, but no pink(in the past in other places, I used to always say medium well, but not burnt; the medium well, no pink has been working for a while). What did I get — caramelized onions on top of my burger(I decided to scrape it off… cheese and all) and my burger was pink. It was a bit hard to see it in the shade, but when I took a picture… pink…closer look at the burger outside of the picture… pink, so I stopped eating it immediately. The fries with it were good. I was disappointed about the burger because I wanted to enjoy it. I may give their HH another try, but I am staying away from their ATR burger. I appreciated the manager having my burger comped.

A few friends and I recently went by here to grab drinks on a Saturday night and the service was pretty sub-par. Our waiter was a fairly bizarre and offensive individual who at one point described in detail how a song being played in the square made him want to shoot himself in the head repeatedly with a 9 mm handgun. I won’t add all the graphic details he did, but needless to say it made us all very uncomfortable. He continued to strike up weird and rude conversations with us for the rest of the night, and on several occasions made fun of one of us for our drink orders. He openly and repeatedly mocked my friend for getting a cocktail instead of a beer and even brought the bartender out to laugh at him! It was insane. The drinks were decent, though overpriced. We didn’t get food so I couldn’t say how it is, but needless to say we won’t be going back.

I’m giving my 1st visit and experience tonight 5 stars due to the special attention and concern I was giving. I asked to speak to the Manager, to inquire about some options for my dietary restrictions and met Joshua. He was very well versed in the menu selections that I was able to partake in. Additionally, he offered to inform the Executive Chef of my selections and to ensure my order was prepared accordingly. I had the Cedar Plank Salmon, and sautéed spinach that was prepared dedicated free of my dairy, egg & gluten allergens. Grilled well done, seasoned to perfection, the Salmon was moist, succulent and imbued with a delicious smoky flavor. My dinner companion and I ordered the Calamari to share & not only did Joshua, yet Gopal the General Manager or perhaps Owner, came over to inform us of the ingredients which included diary. I have never been to a restaurant that was so attentive to their guests and their dietary needs. As I wasn’t able to consume the normal preparation of the Calamari, Gopal had the Executive Chef prepare a special version of the Calamari just for me and it was delicious. The wine selection was extensive as I settled for my usual… Malbec, two nice pours to boot. The ambience was nice, the price point was surprisingly equal to the menu and the overall experience was very enjoyable. I will be back for my weekly Salmon craving. Thank you Joshua!

You won’t be blown away, but you won’t be disappointed. We(party of 4) shared some huge fluffy pretzels and different mustards and cheese sauces, and then on a recommendation for a friend, I had their chicken and waffles, which I in turn would recommend. Good seasoning on the chicken, paired with a light waffle, buttery and sweet. I didn’t even look at the beer list, came from a beer festival and was a bit beered out. Service was fine, and I would go back but if I was in the area it would be hard not to try somewhere else.

Nothing too special, ordered the ATR Burger, sweet potato fries and the crab dip. My friend had the BBQ Burger. We were asked if we wanted anything other than water to drink, it’s miday Sunday, we wanted to order something non-acoholic. The waiter listed«coke, iced tea, and lemonade… «yet we couldn’t find any of these options on the menu nor the pricing. Upon flagging down a staff member for a non-acoholic drink menu we learnt they had no such thing. After many confused faces and apologizes, we opted to just stick with water. In appearance the crab dip was runny, greasy, and had a scarce amount of pita chips in ratio to the large portion of dip. Digging in I felt sick, one of the worst crab dips I’ve had in my life. About 5 chunks of crab on top of a bed of oil which didn’t mix with the rest of the dip. Each bite starts off good until you realize what it is you’re really eating. Would not purchase again! Our burgers were mediocre, nothing above bar food in it’s essence. The bottom of the burgers were soggy, and mismatched upon our requested cooking requirements. My medium rare was rare, his medium was well done, next time(if I come back) I’ll say«surprise me», I’m sure I’d see better results. The regular fries had a bit more flavor than the sweet potato fries, although the«deep fried«flavor was a bit heavy. Much like the crab dip, all I tasted in the Burger was grease. The ATR sauce is nothing more than a cheesy, mustard and mayonnaise sauce, hardly a combination that would secure a future visit from me. In conclusion, $ 40 for 2 people. An expensive bar-esque experience with nothing new, exciting or innovative to bring to the table. We noticed a child at another table had cotton candy. which would be a nice touch, but personally there are far better kid oriented restaurants in town center. If you’re looking for a place to just drink and watch the game, you’ll feel at home here… but not if you actually want to find a meal.
