There’s nothing more terrifying and emotional than being told one needs a major surgery on women’s reproductive organs — luckily, I couldn’t be more fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Albert Steren by my primary gynecologist when I could no longer avoid the inevitable to need gynecological surgery.
What is very important in a surgeon is his/​her bedside manners, and Dr Steren or a doctor from his practice is always available ²⁴⁄₇ to answer emergency questions post-​op.
Even before the surgery, he and his staff methodically walked me through the procedure, risks, what to expect, and recovery tips. He’s an approachable doctor, thorough, and down to earth. He gave me all the time in the world to ask questions pre and post-​op and I never felt «rushed» that he was too busy for me.
Among other doctors in his field from DC to NY, his name is positively well-​known and revered; I was comfortable knowing I was being operated under such skilled hands and given my excellent recovery for such a serious surgery (10 fibroids removed) proved that he really accomplishes high quality work.

I absolutely adore Dr. Steren! He really is the best. He is so talented, smart, patient, and kind. I remember right before surgery, I told what my expectations were, gave him a hug and a high-​five, and he did his magic. He removed a very large fibroid by a myomectomy where others may have used a more invasive procedure.
He did such a great job, that during follow up sonograms, the technician could not tell that I had surgery!
