I could not believe the attitude of the owner. How dare you act like you are better than your customers? What is your problem? Maybe you need to change your meds because there is no need to act psycho to innocent shoppers. Your crankiness is epic so good for you. The quality of the items here is immaterial because the rudeness overshadows it. The German lady is nice and the other workers are nice but for some reason the owner has poor customer service, and it’s unnecessary. Why on earth would you consistently be rude?

Very good. A very vast collection of gems, stones, and jewelry. And a very helpful and friendly staff.

Nice selection of silver items. I love browsing on Bearskin Nck. Fun, fun, fun! Much of the silver in the jewelry stores is the same but this store has a good selection and seems to have some unique pieces

As an amateur fossil collector, I’ve been a big fan of Village Silversmith for a few years for their selection and quality of fossils, but I left their Rockport location on 20 bearskin neck in a very bad mood. Their fossil selection was astounding, but the man behind the counter has a lot to learn about customer service. When I told him I was shopping for fossils, he began listing genus and species names that I had never heard of before. I told him that I was an amateur and that I had not reached the level to know what those are yet, to which he responded in a very condescending manner, «well, let me know if you see anything pretty.» I was willing to let that comment slide, but he was hovering over me and making similar snide comments the whole time. It wasn’t just me he was talking down to, either. Another group of people came in and asked about the stones used in jewelry and he talked to them as if they were idiots, too. I guess they were smarter than me because they left without buying anything. I left with a few fossils because, despite how condescending the salesperson was, the selection and quality of the fossils was top notch. I asked for cards with the genus and species of the fossils I purchased so that I can learn more about them, and not only did I not get them, but the man behind the counter removed the ID stickers from the ones that were identified.

amazing selection of silver jewelry! also stones and pearls as well. staff is super nice and knows the selection well. I saw several pieces I would have easily bought if I had the money.
