I’m so sad. I wanted to find a great sandwich place in my town. Didn’t happen today. The prices here are extremely high. $ 9 – 10 for a decent sandwich. $ 5.50 for a beer. Employees were eating with their kids in the store. The cashier didn’t know what their special sauces were or what was in them. Then it took 30 minutes to get our food. When I finally asked where the food was they were pretty rude and mumbled with his back to me. Guys! Customer service! You have to be better then that. Watch some old episodes of Kitchen Nightmares!

The 15 minutes I waited for my sandwich to be made was well worth it. Definitely a well made sandwich with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of meat. I would advise that you come here before or after peak hours because I was the only person in the place and it took him 15 minutes to make this tasty treat.

Sandwich quality and price is comparable to Beach Hut Deli. The complexity of the sandwiches is comparable to your average homemade sandwich… meat, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, etc. However, my poor rating is for the extremely slow and mixed up service. Normally, I am lenient on the service if the food is decent and I don’t write many Unilocal reviews but I am so dumbfounded on how any eating establishment can take so long to make a sandwich that I am compelled to share my experience with you. There was one person ahead of me in line and about 6 people behind my party of 6. An hour later, we were the last people there and we were still waiting for the rest of our orders! People who arrived before us got their orders before us. Other people’s orders were mixed up and waited just as long as us to get their order fixed. One couple was fed up of waiting and asked for their money back. About 40 minutes in, an employee came around spouting excuses why the service was slow and asked us to repeat our order. I don’t care how good the sandwiches are, waiting over an hour for a $ 10 turkey sandwich is unacceptable.

This is a cool spot for a simple & straightforward deli sandwich. The staff are good people and the boars head meat does the trick if you’re in the mood for a solid sandy. Their menu boasts a few other items, from hot dogs to beer, and the ambiance is pretty awesome.

I have eaten there atleast once a week since they re– opened. The turkey club is great and large no chance that you won’t get enough, very friendly staff know me by name and what I will order. It’s like my own Cheers(the show) and it’s great to have a good deli in Rocklin.

This is a place where you feel like you can sit back, relax and take your time. The food is good and the atmosphere is welcoming. Friendly service, good hearty food and relaxation… what is not to like? We have been for breakfast for quick easy food such as bagels or even an egg sandwich as well as for lunch. We also get lunch meat to take home to make our own sandwiches for work.

I have driven by this place for 5 years and on a whim the other day decided I had to have salami on sour dough. It is a compulsion that in my experience should not be denied. I was not expecting much because this place has about as much curb appeal as an Middle Eastern liqueur store. I just knew that Subway or Quiznos would not fit the bill so I had to roll the dice and go on in. The inside definitely does not match the outside. It has an inviting dining area with all oak furniture. Smelled wonderful. The sandwich was huge, the bread was amazing. It was an actual Deli sandwich. Remember those? I will definitely be back. I do have a suggestion for Mr. Moose. You need to get more people in to your store. My guess would be coupons, clowns, balloons — maybe a guy in a moose head at the curb. An inviting outdoor patio that is ladscaped for shade. Your location could not be better but you look just like any other store front on this sleepy street. I say sleepy when we both know the street is bordering on comotose. DOSOMETHINGQUICK!

I Just tried this place for the first time the other day and thought it was just okay. I got the french dip sandwich but I have a friend who eats there almost every day and says that their other sandwiches are much better. I plan on giving it another try.

Food: Large deli sandwiches, kind of like you would get from a supermarket. Decent, nothing amazing or mind blowing. Ambiance: Little store with a Rocky Mountain lodge kind of feel. I did think it was weird that they have a Christmas tree up and it’s April. Service: Staff is friendly, but took about five minutes too long to get the sandwiches made. Price: $ 6 — $ 10 per sandwich and $ 3 — $ 5 for sides, probably $ 1 to $ 2 too much to make this place a good deal or worth returning Overall: If you like large homemade like deli sandwiches and don’t mind paying a few extra dollars, then check out Blue Moose.

The veggie sandwhich is great! It is large enough to split with a friend or bring half home for later. Very Good pickles too!

I got the veggie sandwich, which I thought was really good — not your ordinary sandwich by any means. I think they are a little expensive, but I would come here again.

I must’ve visited on a bad day… I am a Starbucks fan but like to support the locals… I have lived in Rocklin forever and have driven by this place longer than it has been in existence… so the hub and I decided to mix it up and stop in on our way to work to check it out… totally open minded about it all… oh so dissapointed… We walked in and there was no wait… great… we look at the menu for coffee and I say, «Oh, this is our first time here.» Well. I kinda expected to be greeted with something more than a hello… but we weren’t… OK… so I chat with the Moose kid in the back cause I see him every day out on the corner. Sweet kid. The guy behind the counter was totally oblivious to us and our potential regularness… he didn’t chat or engage… really? I think he was the owner, white hair? So we won’t be back unless we get the hair to give them a second chance… anybody out there want to tell us why we should?

Five stars for the meat in the sandwich(especially that magical bacon) but three stars for the bread which is nothing special but does the job. Supposedly new owners reopened the Blue Moose 7÷1÷10 after a few weeks of being closed but I heard that they are keeping the sandwich ingredients the same.

Very reliable sandwiches, Not the greatest location and not exactly in the direction of anything compared to my home. and probably for a lot of people too… but that means that they aren’t always busy! Affordable, and just darn good. I prefer the vegetarian with all the fixin’s. Note: Closed Sundays

I went with some family members, and I sampled my own Reuben, as well as others’ Philly and Club sandwiches. After trying all three, I will say that Blue Moose uses fresh ingredients, and therefore nothing tasted«bad» so to speak. But honestly all of the sandwiches were just«ok» to me, and those who ate with me agreed. The customer service was good, and the place was cool to hang out in on a relaxing Saturday. The reason I cannot give a higher rating is that out of three sandwiches, none tasted exceptionally well. Instead of each sandwich having a unique taste to their own style(like a philly, reuben, and club should), they were all just bland enough to be barely distinguishable from one another. So, the 3-star«A-OK» rating is because the food, service, environment, and price are all just ok in my opinion.

There’s something to be said about a deli that serves you a dill pickle spear with your sandwich. We’ve gotten used to this sort of behavior from sandwich shops, but in my opinion, it’s RARE to find a place with a good sandwich AND dill pickle. But I’ve found it! /me breathes a sigh of relief. I’ll admit. I’ve been to the Blue Moose Deli & Coffee House and have told my family about the place, but TODAY is the day I signed up for Unilocal and went here on my lunch hour to do my duty and report on the place. I’m so glad that I keep having such good experiences with the Blue Moose! I ordered their California Club: Ham, turkey and bacon topped with Cheddar(I got Provologne instead), mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, served on sliced sourdough. They have SEVEN kinds of cheese to choose from and FIVE different types of REAL bread. I say REAL, because there’s a difference between the chain sandwich shops and a place that gives you real bread. Anyway, the sandwich was DELICIOUS. Cut in half, with meat stacked on SO thick you’d have to go to Subway and say«give me all the meat in your ‘fridge». Seriously, my sandwich was a good four inches thick, three inches full of meat. BIGBONUSPOINTS in my book. I also ordered my usual Large White Mocha, which I find to be 5x better than the same order at Starbucks and for over a buck cheaper. You can actually taste the coffee in it, instead of the sugary base that the ‘bucks uses. The Blue Moose gets high marks from me on their service as well. You walk in, look at the menu on the wall, order, and take a seat. In less than five minutes(even on a busy day), you get your meal. The cashiers are great, SUPER friendly and personable. A line to order had formed just as I was finishing up and having to get my booty on back to work, so I walked up to the owner, who was behind the counter making the sandwiches himself, and asked for a little box to put my leftovers in. He told me to bring my sammie on up and he’d wrap and bag the sucker up himself for me to take back to work!!!(Note to you all: I ABHOR having to do this, so once again, bonus points.) He did, wished me a good rest of my day at work, and I left. Now I’m sitting back here at work, with what’s left of my white mocha, a full tummy, and a smile on my face. And leftovers… which will be wonderful for a boost of energy when my usual 3.30pm energyslowdown kicks in. If you’re in the neighborhood, check out the BLUEMOOSE.

Decent food. Very personable employees. Rating them a two for one reason. While eating there, owners wife(I might be wrong about that but am pretty sure about it) was there with their young child. Kid was squatting in the middle of the place taking a crap in his pants at his mom’s urging. Very unappetizing.
