Advanced International Cleaning / Restoration

They never replied to my attempts to schedule duct cleaning per the terms of my Groupon purchase. Finally, today, their website was down. Groupon did, however, refund my purchase. They get 5 stars!

Used them via a Living Social deal. The guy who showed up was a talker, but he left the carpet with the exact same number of stains, only wet. I was not home when he came (my wife was), so I called the company to complain. They sent him again, so he said that these were permanent stains and they would not come out. Although, he treated them with something (water?). Anyway, this was the first time in my experience, when, after professional cleaning, my carpet looked exactly the same, only wet (and I had a lot of carpet cleaning done, with different companies). I mean every single dirt spot and soiled piece was there intact. Fortunately, about six months later, I had another company do the job (also via Living Social, but at a cheaper price), and their guy got rid of all stains and dirt (well, a couple of small stubborn stains remained, but I had expected that). Anyway, if you want to pay someone to wet your carpet but keep the dirt, Advanced International Cleaning is for you; everybody else, stay away.

I bought the Groupon for cleaning services, and we NEVER received a call to schedule! After leaving 4 voice mails and signing up online to get a call back, we finally gave up and hired a different company for our needs. I got a refund from Groupon. For the looks of these reviews, I’m glad they never called back!

I normally give pretty good ratings, but today I will add my bad review to the growing list for this company. Had a Groupon for 3 cleanings. In April they cancelled on me the Thursday before we were having a lot of people over for the weekend, so I spent my day cleaning the house rather than the other things I had to do. They apologized and we rescheduled for the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend when we are again having people over. Based on the first experience, I called on Tues to confirm they were coming. No answer so I left a message on voice mail. I left another message on Wed. Of course, today they are a no show. Called Groupon and got a refund, but spending the day cleaning the house instead of doing the other things I had planned. Bad company! Avoid them! They only got one star from me because I can’t give zero or negative stars.

Update:
Since Advandced International Cleaniing came out, I have spent over $ 300 to have someone come check my dryer and come clean out my Chimney because the guy that cleaned my dryer vent didn’t clean the vent all the way through to the chimeny so my dryer was not working properly. I am tempted to file a lawsuite againest this company. CROOKED CROOKED Company.

I too bought the Groupon, and not only did we have to wait a couple of months, they didn’t even show up on time. I called them during the time frame to no avail. I would really think twice about going with this company, groupon or not.
As far as the one good review, I find a couple of things odd with that review:
— User created account and has posted only one review, which is for this company. If you have been using the company for 4 months, why hasn’t it taken this long to do a positive review.
— User account name is Jerod, but yet you are 72 year old woman? Perhaps you are typing for one, but I’m not sure.
— The owner Jerod came out to do the bid and your username happens to be Jerod. How ironic.
— No one is destroying the Groupon name, as we’ve all gotten our money back because they have a guarantee just for companies like this who don’t hold up their end of the bargain.
Buyer beware. Unilocalers beware, too.

I bought a 2 hour/​2 person cleaning service from Groupon. Horrible experience! They arrived an hour early (waking me up on a Sat morning) w/​no explanation. The 2 young girls chatted and «hung out» most of the time. Did extremly subpar work and left. I complained to the owner of the Company. He was very nice and said he wanted me to be happy, sent them out again a few weeks later. Same girls only this time w/​a huge attitude. I told them that I was not going to argue w/​them, I just wanted them to do what I asked of them. They told me that my house was already so clean that they didnt know what to do. So when I gave them direction, they called the owner (turned out to be one of the girls brother) and handed me the phone. He then told me that he was not goint to have the girls complete the job because I asked them to wipe the base boards in the living room and that would be extra and if he knew thats what I wanted, he wouldnt have sent them back out. REALLY? I thought base boards was a standard request, am I crazy here? So anyway, that began to turn into an argument which I was not going to do so I told him to tell the girls to finish up what they were doing (which was nothing) and leave. They left w/​o saying a word and took MY cleaning supplies w/​them! It was very uncomfortable to have these angry strangers in my home.
On the up side… Groupon was wonderful! They not only gave me the 59.00 I paid for the service, they gave me an additional 10.00 for my troubles.

I don’t like to write bad reviews, but I also like to help people not get taken.
I bought a Groupon deal for Advanced International Cleaners to clean our two fireplace chimneys. We just moved into the house last year and do not know how often (if ever) the previous owners had cleaned them. At $ 139, I thought it was a pretty good deal.
After I paid for the deal, I tried to call them. Over the next 4 days, I called at least a dozen times and always got a message saying the Google voice subscriber is not available. (In all fairness, 3 out of the last 5 times I’ve called, I did get someone on the line.) I also emailed a couple times. I finally got a response to my email from Jarod, the owner. He apologized and I finally got an appointment. The day of the appointment, no one showed up. About an hour and a half into the appointment window, I was in the front yard doing some work and looking for them. Turns out the guy called at that time and, since I wasn’t in the house to answer, said I would have to reschedule.
I rescheduled a couple weeks later and the guy came (nice guy). He looked at the chimneys and said they were extra dirty and it would cost an extra $ 79 each to clean them. I asked if we could do only one, since we don’t use the other fireplace, and he said the Groupon deal was for two, so we had to do both. At this point, $ 300 seemed like a lot to clean two chimneys. I said I’d think about it and he left.
I called another company, one who got good reviews on Google (A-​1 Chimney, if you must know). They quoted $ 149 to clean one chimney plus $ 99 for a second, regardless of how dirty they are. They came out and cleaned our main chimney, saying it wasn’t really that dirty. He didn’t think the second one needed cleaning at all, since all he could see was a few spider webs, which would burn off if we ever built a fire there. So for $ 149, we’re good.
I’m glad I was smart enough to get my Groupon refunded.
