A & A Stepping Stone

Over the past five years I have purchased various block and rock products from Tony and his crew at this Rocklin location. Always good service, always excellent help loading their product into my SUV. All of the employees know their product inventory and location of the materials, so it’s quick in and quick out every time. I have been adding to my Country Manor block purchases each year as I install more small decorative walls in the yard, and they always have the right block in the right color when I need it.

Hey here again I had another fantastic experience! Stopped in for some more moss rocks. They are still 7 cents a pound. That was a great start. Garrett has helped me a couple of times. Just outstanding customer service! He’s quick to recognize and let me know he would be right with me. He jumped on the forklift and we had those chosen rocks in the back of my truck in no time! This IS the best place to get moss rocks that actually have moss on them and have character. I’m definitely a fan of A&A.

My mother went to the Auburn Blvd store but they did not have the bricks she wanted. They checked with the store on Pacific Street and said they had them. So I took my 86 year old mother to the Pacific Street store. When we arrived, the man at the counter checked and said they had them and sent us to go get them. He said they were about half way down the yard on the left. I drove my mom because I didn’t think walking on the dirt surface would be a good idea. We went down one side and then back but didn’t see them so I went behind the row they were supposed to be in, which was a dead end and had to get out of a very tight spot, ended up scratching my 1 year old car. The scratch is going to cost $ 1400 to repair. So we went back and insisted on help. Turns out the two employees in the yard «had to dig them out». I know we didn’t make a large purchase but the service was awful. I would never go back there.

Today was my second visit, and I won’t even give them a chance to quote ever again.
My first visit some months ago rudely began with the sales lady arguing with a customer, yelling at him off the front deck of the office.
Today’s visit began with two guys asking what I needed. As soon as I told them 1.5 yards of white sand delivered they became very rude and dismissive of me as a customer, like my order wasn’t worth anything to them.
Even if an order isn’t huge, that’s no reason to act rudely. I would advise you don’t give this place a try even if the odd few have had an ok experience, the ratings and stories speak for the reality of this place.

After my horrible experience at A&A I saw that a manager «Dennis» emailed me and asked for details on what happened. What a waste of time that was. He did NOTHING to correct the situation. He did not even apologize for the rudeness of his employee. There is a good reason that this company has such bad reviews…

Horrible customer service at the desk they act arrogant and not helpful. The guys working in the yard are more helpful. Valley Rock down the road is a better bet. You are kind of stuck because you have two gravel yards to choose from in Rocklin.

went in to grab some supplies. dude at the counter was very helpful and kind. got me in and out in no time. pricing was fair. no complaints here! would definitely shop here over the home depots of the world :)
