In the interest of full disclosure, you should know before reading this review that Dr. Bob and his beautiful assistant Janice are close friends of my boyfriend’s family annnnd Mike(you should know his name by now, people) worked for him back in the day. In fact, if you happened to see my boyfriend’s appearance on TRL circa 2004 when he interviewed Bruce Willis & Matthew Perry, you’d know this, because he was forced to ask Matthew Perry a question about dentistry because at the time he worked for a dentist(Dr. Wilkoff) and Chandler played a dentist in the Full 10 Yards. Maybe you saw him on TV. I figure the likelihood of you having seen him on TV is about the likelihood of you having seen Full 10 Yards. But regardless of this now fully-disclosed fact, he still earns five decay-free stars. If you knew nothing else about Dr. Wilkoff’s office, just know that when you walk in you will see two things. A plasma screen TV playing some agreeable live music on DVD and magazines — NEW magazines. Not old waterstained issues of Highlights and Reader’s Digest and other stuff you don’t care about. There’s nothing I hate more than old magazines. New magazines that you won’t have to spend your money on because Dr. Bob’s got them. Heck, even show up early to squeeze in a little extra reading time! Dr. Wilkoff’s chairside manner is friendly, thorough, honest, and informed and he is 100% sincere about making your teeth and your you healthier than they were when you walked in. The visits are fast and relaxed. Even if you’re in for something that sucks — say, fillings — watching a ceiling-mounted flat screen playing your choice of several dozen live concerts can make it pleasant. It’s a little bit of a trip from Center City, but I absolutely recommend a visit to Dr. Bob if you’re on the market for a new or better dentist.
