The Lindsey Hotel

We stayed here one night during our trip to Maine. Very charming place and clean. Cozy living room and patio too. Excellent breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again. There is a bar next door where you can have a drink and then walk back to your room.

Just refurbished in 2014. Beautiful nautical theme décor right in downtown Rockland, near all the shops, but set back from the main road.

Perfection! Style at every turn. If you’re not staying here, just ask for a look around for a future stay, because this is what you will pick next time you are in town. It’s amazing. Make sure you don’t miss the octopus-​wallpapered bathroom just off the lobby. You can walk to everything from this inn, including The Pearl restaurant — now owned by Food Network finalist Michele Ragussis — which is where you can get your drinks on the water fix.

My husband and I stayed here in late June as part of a groupon deal. The inn itself is extremely clean, impeccably decorated, and very quaint. It’s in a really central area in the town and is walking distance to a lot of restaurants, bars, and museums. We recommend going to the Strand theater and going on the Rockland Harbor walk including the walk out to the lighthouse. We were little disappointed in reading the last reviewers comments about the afternoon today. We are looking forward to some fresh baked goodies and did not have any during our stay. Breakfast was good-​we were given a menu that included eggs and omelettes, a couple of breakfast meat options, and some sides including French toast waffles and other kinds of breads. The rooms themselves are very clean, well decorated, and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again if we are going to Rockland. The only thing that was a little awkward was when we went to check out. There was no one at the desk so we had to use the phone nearby. Instead of coming out and saying goodbye personally and so we could say thank you the innkeeper just told us to leave the keys. I felt like that lacked a bit of personal touch.

Elegant charm in the heart of Rockland. The rooms are beautifully appointed and the staff is friendly, caring and eager to help make your stay in Rockland memorable. Breakfast was wonderful and there were lovely fresh baked goodies for afternoon tea. Everything is within walking distance, museums, restaurants, galleries & shopping. Fantastic experience.
