If you’re looking for quality, homemade scrumptious baked goods, look no further! Finally, we have a place to go to enjoy tasty homemade treats like grandma used to make. Everything I’ve tried here is wonderful. They also carry a line of gluten free baked goods that my friend with celiac disease reports are excellent quality and delicious. The café is small and homey serving brand name coffee and tea in real mugs(not paper!), soups, sandwiches, breakfast items and all sorts of delicious cakes and pastries! Owners Linda and Wendell are just lovely and make sure you’re happy with the service and the products. I’ve ordered my Thanksgiving and Christmas pies here for 2 years and been very pleased. This place is a hidden gem!

I loved it here! They are so fantastic for gluten free products. I got the pastrami sandwich(recommended by the owner) and it was amazing. They use a separate panini press for GF sandwiches and were very knowledgable. I can’t wait to go back and try their other items!

I just received an Swedish Almond Cake from Baking with Joy on 347 Centre Ave(Route 123) Rockland, MA2370. One word AMAZING!!! If you enjoy scratch baked goods with NO preservatives and NO trans fats you must try this local café! Soups, sandwiches, tea cakes, fresh coffee, tea assortment and much, much more. I do not know the owners, but coming from a bakery background(my family had bakeries for over 45 yrs) I will tell you this is the BEST pastry I have tasted in a very long time. Prices are well below average and you can order online too!

Cute and delicious little place! Stopped in for a bite and have been back 4 times. The inargual cookies and chocolate zucchini bread are out of this world! Tried a soup and sandwich that were both great as well. Highly recommended and have gluten free bakery items!

Delish! I was introduced to this bakery last summer when I sampled some of their delicious banana bread in Downtown Crossing at one of the famer’s markets. I work minutes from where this was being held and was impressed with the selection of delicious treats. Flash forward a few months and I’m back to sample more delectable treats, as is my grandmother! My grandmother loves the soups and the pumpkin bread and I love the banana chocolate chip bread. But our favorite thus has definitely been the coconut bread, though everything is fresh and the staff are some of the most friendly people I’ve ever met.

Literally, the best breakfast I’ve ever eaten. Davis, the owner is such a great guy and manager– me and my fiancé were thoroughly impressed with the gluten free products(his GF pancakes were amazing) and the breakfast items we ordered were so so good. He makes the best hash browns ever, crispy and full of seasonings. GOTOTHISCAFE! You will not regret it at all. I would give him 6 stars if I could.

Just stopped by Baking with Joy for the first time and I could not be more highly satisfied with my visit! This place is the total package– amazing food, wide variety, a staff that’s beyond friendly, and awesome prices. I’m a huge coffee fan, so I was both excited and impressed with the great variety of coffee flavors and roasts that they will brew right on the spot for you. If your order is eat in then you get a mug that you can refill and the price is much cheaper than other bakeries as well as chain places like Dunks and Starbucks! My mom and I split a mac and cheese and bacon sandwich and it definitely lived up to the great things we had heard about it. It was warm, delicious, and so filling! 10⁄10 recommend this item! After finishing our drinks and sandwich, we ordered two cookies to go. The cookies were to die for! They were crunchy, but still moist and buttery-the perfect balance! Aside from the cookies, they had a great bakery selection and even an entire case of gluten free treats which all looked great! The coffee and food was all amazing, but the best part of this café is definitely the staff. Everyone that worked there was beyond friendly and willing to start a conversation. I definitely see myself stopping by here often and recommend others to visit as well!

It kind of pains me to say this but… I had been recommending the new bakery in town, Baking with Joy. Their stuff is delicious, not doubt about it. Unfortunately I will not be recommending them anymore. I placed a special order of 4 cakes to send to my mom in North Carolina last week. I was assured that they were mailed on Saturday morning. They even went so far as to tell me they’d gone into Boston to mail them to be sure that they arrived on time. I am sure you can tell what is coming… they didn’t arrive. When I inquired on Wednesday I was again assured that they had gone out Saturday. They offered to refund my money. I was bummed — my mother had 12 people for Thanksgiving and I was totally embarrassed that the stuff didn’t arrive. It did arrive today. Interestingly the postmark showed that it was actually mailed on Monday and from Rockland, not Boston. When I called to talk to the owner about this I was told it was mailed on Monday because of the upcoming weather. Ummm… what? They straight up lied to me. So unnecessary. Other than that he wouldn’t discuss it with me. Needless to say I won’t be darkening their doorstep again. Update: Just spoke to my mother again. I paid for 4 items but she received only 3.

I’ve been buying sweet breads from Baking with Joy since I saw the stand at Dewey Square’s farmer’s market. Delicious cakes and breads range from blueberry, raspberry lime, raspberry almond, banana, banana chocolate chip, pumpkin and zucchini. There’s lots more but I can’t remember them all. At Dewey Square, the guy who runs the stand there is really nice and is always giving samples of cakes that you’re kinda wondering what they taste like before you buy it. The cake/breads are fresh, tasty, and so worth it. They also have cakes to order on their website. If you’re in Dewey Square on Thursdays in the summer through late fall(Thursday before Thanksgiving is their last day, so stock up!!), pay these guys a visit! You’ll fall in love. I did ;)
