Awesome food, service, atmosphere, and at a reasonable price for the super cool venue. Peter the Manager stopped by to ensure all was well. Server Lexi was awesome and sweet demeanor.

I recently went to Red’s fir the first time since their move to Thousand Oaks. They seem to leave the glasses on the table face down until someone comes to sit there. Every glass I looked at was dirty in some way. The food was bland.

Our first visit was yesterday for Mother’s Day. While we have went to Reds when it was in Rockford and it was great we found that yesterday was far below par. We knew it would be busy for Mother’s Day and they had everyone in the banquet room. First off it was crazy noisy and while I know that this is to be expected it was just a little overwhelming. It was a buffet style and we had a later reservation and the main reason why I am giving it one star is because the food was cold, half of the food was out and it was so ridiculously messy in and around the buffet area. Now I understand that there are numerous people at the buffet at any give time but not a single employee was trying to clean up the area. There was pasta all over the table by the warmers, lettuce all over the entire salad bar table, the food was so picked over that the remaining food was basically mixed together(croutons in all of the dressings) and what remained also looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while(chicken was extremely dry, lettuce was wilted, etc). The other reason was that that buffet was by the kitchen and when my wife and sister were up there someone dropped something and yelled(sh$$!!) extremely loud from the kitchen. Our kids were already back at the table but we found it were unprofessional. We ended up leaving before our other half went to the buffet and went to another restaurant. I guess for almost $ 30 a person you would expect things to be stocked, warm and clean but our first trip to Reds at Thousand Oaks was not very good. Not sure we will give it a try again and especially would not recommend for Mother’s Day

My husband and I had dinner at Red’s for the first time this evening and truly enjoyed it. The food and service were wonderful. I enjoyed the beet salad and trout, which was cooked to perfection. My husband had the lobster grilled cheese and white chicken chili. He said both were very good. We decided to split the mouse for dessert, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back.

I have a bone to pick. Unfortunately it’s not the bone from my coveted Cherry Glazed duck breast and thigh served scored, seared and rare alongside a beautifully prepared broccoli rabe and blue cheese bread pudding… because that was taken from the menu. I have traveled 46 of the 50 states and have eaten in a vast number of fantastic restaurants. I however, on each birthday I return to Red’s On The River to sit on the patio overlooking the… you guessed it… river. To enjoy this truly fabulous meal with a bottle of recommended red wine. In 2015 however, I returned to Red’s to find it had been removed from the menu. I asked our waitress hoping there was a mistake, however she had confirmed that the menu had changed. I sadly ordered something else that was indeed an excellent tasting meal, however I cannot remember what it was. The Cherry Glazed duck breast and thigh served scored, seared and rare alongside a beautifully prepared broccoli rabe and blue cheese bread pudding was one of the Top 10 best meals I’ve ever eaten… it was that good. Bring it back Red’s… bring my duck back!

Had a lovely bartender that actually engaged me in conversation. Only had a drink and appetizer so can’t comment on their menu. I did have the mussels that were tasty and a large portion. Lovely setting.

We went to Red’s for restaurant week. We have never been there before. Food was ok… the bad part was waiting 2.5HOURS for food. Absolutely ridiculous. Manager was wandering around the outskirts of the dining room avoiding eye contact with all customers. I know it’s not his fault or the waiter’s fault but that was WAYTOO long to be pretending it was ok. Everyone in the restaurant was in the same situation. Good luck with the rest of restaurant week not everyone will be as patient as us.

A complete disappointment. Met a friend here for dinner on a Sunday night. We had planned for a 6:15 pm meeting(they close at 7) and I arrived at about that time. My friend was running a bit late so I ordered a glass of wine and an app(morrocan califlower, and it was amazing, best thing about meal). I mentioned the issue to the waitress. About 5 minutes later I over heard her telling the table near me that she needed to get their order to the kitchen because it was getting ready to close… it was 6:20…a full 40 minutes before they were to close. Friend arrived at 6:35 and found all the doors locked. They knew I was waiting on someone and it was 25 minutes before they closed. She eventually got in and sat down. We ordered about 5 minutes later. My food was just ok. Ordered steak burger and fries. Nothing special. My friend had lobster grilled cheese and soup and she loved it. Lots of big chunks of lobster. But the service was just kinda crappy. Seems like if you are open until 7, you are open until 7. Not 6:20. Just not the upscale experience you would expect for the price. Bummed.

I went here with my parents, it was very nice. Mother and I shared a beet salad, it had pistachio’s and goat cheese, it rocked. Dad had half a roast chicken and french onion soup, I had some of both, they were tasty. Nice views too, such a nice day along the Rogue river.

I had dinner here last night & everything was excellent! Wine presentation, app, chicken, & pork shank were perfect. I can’t wait to come back again. It’s one of the better meals I have had since moving to GR.

I had an opportunity to dine at Reds on the River right after Christmas and I was delighted to learn that the restaurant has maintained its service and quality levels over the years. I had my favorite Ahi Tuna Steak Dinner along with the French Onion Soup and this restaurant did not let me down. The dining room had an excellent ambiance and the server(s) checked on us routinely. I wanted to update this review and continue to give it 4 stars since my last review. This place is great during the summer when you get to dine outside and hear the Rogue River gush nearby.

This is a really good restaurant. Good food, good service, and a good atmospher. I do feel like this place has taken a few small steps back. Last night I ordered the salmon and it was good, but not mind blowing as I had come to expect. This has been the case my last two trips. Hopefully they are just working out some kinks. With all that said this is still a good restaurant and my wife and I did enjoy our time.

Delicious Mahi Mahi sandwich! Crispy shoe string fries. Attentive service. Very relaxing terrace setting. It was a very early dinner for us so, I can’t speak to the noise level. Kick back or come celebrate a special occasion.

This was a nice venue overall, with delicious cocktails, great décor and ambience, a parking lot plus plenty of street parking in the area, and a very nice walking trail that goes right past it. We had an exceptionally nice meal of steaks and seafood along with really well made cocktails and a good wine list. I’d definitely recommend this place for a special occasion or just a nice Friday night out. The outdoor seating was perfect.

I have been going to Red’s for many years, and am more than a little disappointed at my most recent visit. I was warned by a few friends that this place may be slipping in quality and service as compared to the last few years and I have to agree. First, the parking is inadequate and unprotected. Be prepared to watch a carload or two of non-diners take the last spot and leave while you have to park elsewhere and walk back. There was no valet during our recent visits although I have seen valet in the past. Second, the quality of the wait staff has declined. We were sat in a table by the window completely un-shielded by the sun. When we brought it up, we were informed that the awning had collapsed during the harsh winter and had not been replaced. We were not given the option to relocate. We were then more or less neglected by our harried waitress while we involuntarily did an impression of «lizard baking on a desert rock.» After a while, we noted a few tables(of patrons that were seated after us) getting bread and butter while we had none. We then asked for some as our waitress had not been back. We were told«The kitchen is out. Sorry.» Puzzled, I watched as the tables around us ate what looked exactly like the bread and butter they were supposedly out of… Third, the food quality/portion size seemed diminished while the price went up. We ordered the Pork Cheek Ravioli. $ 11 gets you… 3 small ravioli on a big plate. The beet salad was the best part of my dinner; very tasty but $ 7 for a small half-salad. My entrée was the Arctic Char. A bit overdone, and not that great for $ 30. By the end of the meal, we were so uncomfortable after basking in the sun, we skipped dessert. I guess I can’t blame the restaurant for weather damage, but they do make these things called shades. I guess I wouldn’t have minded had my food and service been as good as it was in the 2006 — 2012 era. In any case, it was a bit unsettling to see a place that would have previously gotten 4 or 5 stars to have fallen to this degree. I really want to give it one more try to see if this was a fluke or an indication of a sad spiral.

I don’t remember the last time I experienced such amazing Customer Service. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted by super friendly people, our waitress was PHENOMENAL, her name was Lindsey, and as we walked out we were re-greeted with smiles. GREATSTAFF! The food was very good. It’s definitely upscale in pricing but the food matched up. French Onion soup: A, shrimp A++, had the New York Steak it was HUGE! The ONLY reason I have 4 stars instead of 5 was that I asked for medium rare and it was to red. But still tasted amazing. I would go back 4sho!

We went for dinner on a Monday night. It was cold outside, but warm and cozy inside! The waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly, and the view of the river was very nice. The fireplaces were going, on couples were snuggled around tables having dinner. It was wonderful. From a Unilocal!review, I had to have the duck, and it was amazing! Would order that again in a heartbeat! All of the food we had was delicious, and I can’t wait to go back!
