Bergner’s

I visited this store in mid-​October 2014 after being disappointed at Macy’s, and what a difference! Plenty of store clerks and great assisstance at the Estee Lauder counter. I had no problem dropping about $ 300.00 at the Bergner’s Lauder counter because the sales associate was polite, cheerful, and professional — an extreme contrast to the rather nasty treatment I’d just received at the Cherry Vale Macy’s. Bergner’s offers plenty of coupons and specials, even at the beauty counters! NEVER the case at the Macy’s Lauder counter.

Love this store. Has a great plus size department. Most stores dont. Has a good variety in sizes and colors. Most stores think big, gotta be drab. We like style and color too! Most stores HIDE the plus size department on the top floor or basement in the far-​back corner, like we should be ashamed to shop there. Bergners is right as you get off the escalators. It’s just great!

Shoes. Do I really need more?
Yes.
Ab-​so-​frickin-​lutely.
Enter the first floor of Bergner’s Department store in Cherryvale Mall. Previously a smaller department with expensive prom shoes and pumps for the older business ladies, the shoe section is now huge and awesome.
First, it still has the prom kicks and pumps, because those will always be needed. Second, they’ve expanded their collection of heels to include cuter designs, for more occasions, and larger sizes for those of us with the over-​sized clompers.
Finally, and most importantly, they have a shoe clearance room. That’s right. I said room. And it is glorious. Organized by size, left to right, there is the largest expanse of the most random shoes. Between the two of us, we found two cute pairs of shoes for two completely different sizes (6 and 10), and in two different styles (chunky heeled pump and golden gladiator-​style sandal) for $ 15 and $ 11 (for what were originally $ 40+ shoes).
To make a good shopping trip that much better, the sales woman was friendly and confessed her love for the clearance room too!
Not five star because the usual prices are pretty expensive (this is true for most of the store) and the best deals are found during sales of some sort or another.
