Strange that I reviewed this place a few months ago but my 2 star review is now gone. Food was not bad(certainly not great) but nothing special. Counter staff was just completely incompetent. Command of the English language was about nil and attention to detail the same. I won’t be back unless I’m desperate.

What an awful experience. Let’s first start with customer service. After trying to ignore several eye rolls from our cashier, we received our lunch tray with food that looked like it had accidentally fallen onto our plates. Next, let’s talk about the actual food. The rice was the equivalent of kitty litter. It was obvious that it had been stuck to the bottom of the pan for some time before it was slopped on our plates. The expired yogurt sauce was less than appetizing, to say the least. After gnawing on several bits of cartilage masked as «chicken,» we decided it belonged in the garbage. Oh, and the baklava can second as furniture. I’d rather drink from the bathroom sink than ever order another bubble tea from this place. It probably tastes the same, but at least it would be free.

BOGO bubble tea! Ordered the Thai bubble tea and its only $ 4 for a regular, a tad cheaper than other places. Surprised I was the only one in line, as its very rare to see a bubble tea sale promo ha. They also offer falafels and salads. Only complaint is the clerk wasn’t very attentive. I had to ask one of the other employees from another food stand if he was working. But other than that, Crisp is def a must stop at Rockaway mall.

Holy crap… I’m reviewing a mall court place on Unilocal! So, at a store outside the mall around lunch and wanted something different. Looked around really quick, and saw a place with falafels. Why not… let’s give it s spin. Falafel: really good. Fresh, crisp and not greasy. Chicken swarma sandwich: Worth the price of admission. Give it a whirl. Flavor bomb.

Bubble tea!!! There aren’t that many places around that have bubble tea. I have been here a few times and always get the Thai tea with extra boba. I have the falafel before and it was so good with the Orange sauce. Love the food and service is fast.

I read the reviews before going here, and they now include meat on the menu… They have lamb kebabs, shawarma, meat over rice, etc. They also have fresh juice in addition to bubble tea– big chunks of fresh fruits and veggies(whole beets, carrots, cucumber spears, pineapples, etc.) are in plain sight at the front, so you see you juice being made. I got the juice with carrot, spinach and pineapple and it was great. I didn’t try any solid food, although it all sounded good.

Did not eat there but my daughter went up to get a straw and the person working slapped her hand. Spoke with management and told him he better speak to employees about touching customers and the mans mouth literally hung open. He did not know what to say. I should have called the police.

This review is for the bubble tea only. I LOVE bubble tea. I work in the mall and was really excited to see a place that carries it open! I got it once, never again. The flavor is just really bad.

First time visiting and I’m a fan. I had the Acropolis Hummus salad(recommended by the very nice counter guy) and it was excellent. Also enjoyed the mango fruit smoothie. It didn’t seem that it was getting a lot of traffic; I hope more people discover this place

Mediocre falafels. Although the falafel was decent and the chickpeas were decently fresh, it was just too expensive! Perhaps I’m used to NYC $ 2.50 falafels? I had their Mexican falafel. It tasted like the same salsa from Chipotle +chickpeas. At $ 8 bux a pop, it was pretty pricy for chickpeas + salsa. I would give the falafels 3.5 stars. It just doesn’t have the same vibrant flavor as NY falafels. But for Jersey standards, I guess we’ll have to accept it. The bubble tea on the other hand was horrible. I’m sorry, but the tea they use is crap. Not to be a bubble tea snob or anything, but there was no tea flavor! Again, maybe I’m comparing it to NY bubble tea houses in Flushing or ctown. But if they’re going to serve bubble tea and call it bubble tea, at least use some half decent tea leaves to brew it! I don’t want to sound like a cheapskate, but the tea was overpriced as well at $ 4. My overall experience is 2.5 stars. Since they are still relatively new, hopefully they’ll modify a few things to increase the quality.

Salads are fresh and prepared with unusual ingredients. Be aware this is a vegetarian menu. The food was fresh, service was ok, and you get quite a lot. I thought the bill was a bit high at $ 11 for a salad and a lemonade. Although the town says Wharton, that’s wrong, it’s in the food court at the mall.

This location is very new, it just opened this past friday.(04÷25÷14) I popped in on monday and it seemed like they’re still learning the business and getting everything figured out.(which is totally fine) So, just be patient because it is worth it! They seem very sweet and are trying hard! I have been dying to find some local falafel, especially near my job, so this is an absolute godsend. Also, hummus. Oh my god, this hummus is amazing. It’s $ 3.99 for a pretty large sized portion and a pita but I would recommend grabbing an extra pita because one is not enough to finish all this hummus, but it’s so good! The sandwiches and salads are $ 6.99 each, in a variety of styles and sauces. They are expensive compared to the giant falafels and shawarma I normally get in NYC but honestly, for a decent local option, I’m not complaining. By the way, this place is vegetarian only, so unfortunately no shawarma. :(The sandwiches are kind of small but it doesn’t mean they’re not filling! The first day I went I got the Europa Falafel which features sundried tomatos, roasted red peppers and goat cheese– delicious! Today I got the authentic falafel sandwich which is the usual hummus, falafel, salad and tahini. I cannot stop eating this hummus though, seriously. As far as I’m aware almost everything is made right there in store, at least from what I can taste. The hummus has a slightly different spice to it than yesterday’s so I am probably right to assume the hummus is definitely housemade. They also have a large selection of bubble tea and smoothies, and a variety of bottled drinks. I did not get a drink so I cannot comment on those. I have already sent some friends there and they agreed with me on how awesome it is and we’re so excited to have that kind of fresh falafel and everything local finally!
