Now for the pizza review… Ordered a 3 alarm pizza for the first time with special request to cut it in triangle slices instead of the«Harris strips» slicing. We were upsold breadsticks which we had never had. We ordered them because we were told it was the same dough as the pizza and would be similar to Harris pizza crust.(yay). When we got home with our pizza, it was not cut how we had requested and had hardly any onions. The rest was good enough. The bread sticks were very under baked and doughy and not slightly like the pizza crust.(ugh). I called Harris to let them know our issue that nite. The next day we took the breadsticks back for a refund. We were told we would have had to bring them back the same nite of the order for anything to be done. Well I dont know about y’all, but once Im home with my pizza and family for the night, Im not going out again. I called the same nite, and had my receipt and took the item back for refund the very next day. I expect a refund and I expect them to get my orders right, if not to give me a coupon or discount for next time. Is this too much to ask? WOW.

Love the crust and sauce. Great cheese to topping combo. Great choices for combos, try the BBQ. I am from Chicago and if you do the malted crust with Chicago style sausage this would be a five star rating. Not loving the QC style of sausage. However love everything else.

Well I must say the experience was a good one. Loved that building and the cleanliness was 5 stars. Waitress was 5 stars and the garlic salad dressing was one of the best that I’ve ever had!!! 5 stars to it also and they use Romaine lettuce and I love that and so does my wife. Restrooms were cleaner that most hospitals. NOWTHEPIZZA — -2 Stars at best in my opinion… Here’s the deal. Pizza is a local food meaning what you grew up with is what you usually like. Harris’s crust has a puffed up edge… the sauce is bland very bland, the toppings were liberal but I was surprised on the pizza. Now… had I grown up in this area and been raised on Harris pizza I’m sure I would have loved it. Next time I’ll try the pasta or a sandwich which looked great. That’s why I leave this a 4 star. But won’t get the pizza again, I’ll try something different.

Best pizza EVER! We made sure that we had plenty to take home with us. Harris Pizza has been our families GOTO favorite since they opened their doors over 50 years ago. It’s my favorite comfort food.

I have lived all around the US. Harris pizza is bar none, hands down the best pizza on earth! The crust is unbelievable along with the sausage. They have expanded the menu to non pizza items, I am sure they are good but you go to Harris for the pizza.

I grew up a few blocks away from Harris pizza and I think they were born in the year I was born…1952. As a teenager, I remember my grandfather bringing us cold pizzas on Saturday morning that people hadn’t picked up the night before. Wow… were they the best. Harris is one of my best memories for food in the whole wide world! I no longer live in the Quads but every time I come back, there are three musts… Adoph’s Tacos, Country Style Ice Cream and Harris Pizza. Harris has perfected pizza. Its taste and texture has NO rival… none…zip! When my kids were teenagers, they looked forward to getting Harris Pizza as much as I did… so many memories… picking up pizza, taking it to Lincoln Park or down to Butterfield Parkway… so great. And one last memory… when I was a teen, some rambunctious boys my friend and I were with were driving east on 14th ave. As we passed a parked car with a man and a pizza beside it, holding a pizza with the palm of his hand, one of the guys in the car we were in reached over and grabbed the pizza… The poor guy never knew what hit him… crazy fun… not for him, but for teenagers… a riot… that was over 4 decades ago. Can’t imagine the Harris brand ever dying… it’s that good… it will never fade… the kind of taste one dreams of!

Harris is my kind of place! Best Christmas gift ever! My brother FEDEX’d me a «Coach Gerber» special; Canadian Bacon, mushroom, spinach, tomato, olive, onion, extra layer of pepper jack cheese; half-baked and put on dry ice to Hawaii! The best pizza on earth to those of us from da other Island; Rock Island! Can’t wait to fly back and get one hot and fresh out of the oven with an Ice Cold Local Red Roller Brew! Aloha to da crew at Harris!

Harris Pizza has been a tradition in my family since my mom was a kid, and I’m happy to keep it alive. I only make it back to the QC once or twice a year, and am really ready for a slice or twelve by the time I make it home. I love the chewy quality of the cheese and the texture and flavor of the fennel sausage. I realized the other night that even the crust has its own unique flavor and texture — that I also love. Needless to say, I’ll be making a return visit before heading back west. As Rock Islanders, this is the location my family generally frequents. I’ve found that the customer service is pretty good. Though we carry-out exclusively, there is an in-house dining area and bar that seems to be peopled with long-term regulars. The waiting/pick-up area are the same and can become rather crowded, but there is a neat window for viewing the pizzas being made. Harris is my favorite! I hope you love it too.

I’m turned off by people who exaggerate about their qualities. My former bandmate(now arch-rival and frenemy) Dadio claims that he has«the world’s most beautiful mustachio.» Not true. Why do people in the QC exaggerate about this place? Its pizza is okay – nothing great. I prefer Wise Guys. Plus the«we are the best pizza in the world» attitude(they actually have that written on some sign) shows. The service is not great at all. I called with some special requests(because I’m a fruitarian), and the phone dude had a lot of attitude. I don’t remember what he said, because I was on pain medication for some finger enhancements(I’m trying to speed up my solo speed), but it was rude.

This place is definitely different. I heard the pizza described as brains on bread before I went, but I’m glad I tried it and dispelled that idea from my mind. I tried a slice of sausage and one of cheese and they were quite varied. Each pizza was sliced into long rectangular shapes so that each piece had crust. The sausage piece had a a topping of sausage and cheese cobblestone that had trouble staying on the bread and that I couldn’t eat with just my hands. It was pretty tasty though. Strangely, there was barely any sauce on it, which is why I preferred the cheese slice. It was more typical, with a slightly spicy sauce and a light cheese. The crust may be on the thinner side, but it is still satisfying. Not bad.

I have lived for 31 years and I have never tasted a better pizza than the ones I’ve eaten from Harris Pizza. I had Harris for the first time back in college, at the age of, say, 19. And since that day I have tried some of the best pizza places up and down the west coast(where I currently live) and nothing has come even remotely close to Harris Pizza. If Unilocal is still around when I’m 60 years old, I can safely assume that I will write a follow up to this review stating that I STILL haven’t found a better pizza than Harris Pizza. Harris, keep doing whatever it is you do and NEVER change even a fraction of one ingredient because you do it perfectly.

Wow! I just ate waaay too much pizza. Split a large sausage and mushroom pizza with others and I am stuffed to the gills. I enjoy the spices on the sausage in addition to chewy crust. I must say, Harris Pizza is my number one pizza place!

I have no idea why anyone living in the Quad Cities would ever eat any other pizza than Harris. If I moved back there I don’t think I’d eat anything BUT Harris sausage pizza morning, noon and night. If they opened a location in Dallas I’d camp out to be the first in the doors. Heck, I might even quit my job to work there. I brought 3 half baked pizzas home with me and I’m not sharing it with anyone. Don’t even think about it.

3 Words for ya: SIMPLYTHEBEST !!! Enjoyin a pizza from here is a absolute great experience. The crust is crisp but yet chewy, the sauce has just the right amount of spice and the way they spread that yummy ground up sausage makes it ohhh soo yummy in every bite. To add to the experice your kids or even yourself will love watching the workers toss the dough in the kitchen through the see through window. You can watch them make your pizza. You can smile and wave and they will smile and wave back at ya. Pizza with a smile, thats heaven !!!

If you’re not a huge fan of really, really cheesy pizza, don’t eat at Harris. If crust and cheese are your thing, Harris is definitely the place to go. The crust is chewy and delicious, tasting more like the wonderful bread one could find at a bakery than pizza crust. However, it’s extremely cheesy; if you go to eat at the restaurant, they’ll give you an extra utensil to serve it with. The sauce is just an accessory. But gosh, it’s pretty tasty. The service is good; I’ve never had a bad server. They probably need more seating in the Rock Island location; I’ve ordered out a few times just because they were full.

I found this place to be just so-so. There was nothing wrong with it, but nothing standout-ish about it either. The pizza was okay, decent. But nothing truly special. The service was great though. Always there with the refills and such. It’s a nice little place to check out if you’re in the area. So AVERAGE
