Ran in here for a quick pick up of some needed health items and seriously there is no excuse for having a line at Walgreens —they have one older man who was friendly enough but he was busy pushing the reward card and yapping which is awesome. I totally support being friendly and giving each customer your attention — poor guy called twice for backup and finally what appeared to be a manager(he had on a tie) came sauntering out. He wasn’t moving with any purpose either. chop chop and get the lead out… you can see there is a building line of now 5 people. Patience is really not one of my virtues and I went to Walgreens vs. a grocery store so I could fly in and fly out with my one item. I decided to stay and wait with my older checkout guy vs. running to the new register when I saw how slow his movements were and the look on his face. At least I had a friendly guy that told me to have a great day but I had to wait for it.

I’ve been overcharged on 5 different shopping trips, been given expired medication by the pharmacy, and have seen a lot of expired food(that I did not buy) in the grocery section. I know Walgreens is notorious for these practices nationwide, but this particular location is the worst I’ve personally encountered. Too bad, because I live within walking distance. The employees are usually friendly and after 10 or 15 minutes of waiting for a manager, sending me to a different counter in another section, etc. they will eventually give me back my money, but it’s not worth the hassle. I will not go back there again. I do not believe in rewarding bad behavior.

I went here to get a desperately needed dose of medication to prevent motion sickness. I had a 5 hour drive back to Chicago ahead of me and had experienced said motion sickness with a 12 year old a few days ago. So the plan was to walk in, ask where the stuff was, pick it up and check out. I asked and looked and it wasn’t there. I asked again and was told the same spot. Then I walked to the pharmacy and they told me a different aisle, what row it was on and approximately where it was on that row. Then the checker seemed to be preoccupied when I got to the counter! There was nobody in front of me, I just stood there waiting. I was the only car in the parking lot! What was the deal? So my kid didn’t get sick on the way back and I was glad to find the drugs, but 2 people told me the wrong spot before the pharmacy set me straight. Learn your merchandise people!
