As far as health care goes they are not top of the line yet not bottom of the barrel. The ER I would rather go somewhere else than here. The heart center and women’s center both are better than the ER. All in all if you have no other choice I guess this is your option!

You’d do best to always have family with you to intercede for you here. They always seem to be grossly understaffed.

The only experiences I have ever had here involve the emergency room. Piedmont is the fastest solution for the holidays or times that our physician’s office is closed. Holidays are an okay experience if you’re okay with being treated by a Physician’s Assistant and the in-and-out time being a bit long. If you need medical treatment on a Saturday night… look out. They should make a reality show out of the waiting room on weekend nights! Seriously… fill a flask before you go, bring your own handcuffs, talk to yourself, show up with your dog, bring some extreme body odor, throw up in the entrance, or whatever you’re in to. I would personally avoid this situation as much as you can. If you’re just looking for some great stories to tell at work the following week, then I’d highly encourage you to visit. As for the service? Not bad. Not the greatest. They’re fairly slow here compared to other hospitals… which of course, are already slow. My son got checked for strep and we were in and out in 2 hours. Kind of long if you ask me. The workers here are as nice as can be though. They’ll be glad that you’re not drunk or crazy. If you’re drunk or crazy… don’t worry, you’ll fit in with half the waiting room.
