Farmers Exchange

I love this store and have been a customer for 40 years. The Farmers Exchange grows many of its vegetable plants and ornamental plants in its greenhouse right on the property. Some of the people who work there have been there for 50 years. There is consistency. They are exceptionally friendly and service oriented. I get my birdseed, plants, fertilizers, hardware, pesticides and herbicides, and advice on caring for my lawn and garden here. Whenever I have a home and garden need the Farmers Exchange in Rock Hill is my first stop and I am never disappointed.

You’re not exactly buying directly from the growers on the side of the road, but you’re still getting mostly locally grown food.
The Farmers Exchange has a feel similar to the many farmers’ markets around the country… just on a small scale… and there’s no competition within.
While you’re not directly dealing with the farmers that supply the fruits and veggies, you are supporting them… and also the local business of the Farmers Exchange.
The people here are very helpful and friendly. I enjoy coming here to do business with these folks. The produce is always fresh and plentiful. I especially like coming here during cherry season. There is also a refrigerated area that houses some local items like cheese and salsa.
To be frank… I don’t like supporting the likes of Walmart… and prefer to support my local mom and pops. The food here is a great deal too!
Try: Some of those boiled peanuts… c’mon…you know you want some
Avoid: Writing checks… c’mon ladies… I know you’ve got a check card in that suitcase you call a purse
