Cook Out

I was always hesitant to try this place because I thought it was just another fast food joint but this place is the shit, burgers were awesome and the shakes are incredible. A must try for all your comfort food needs.

Cheap food that tastes good. Can’t beat that. I always go through the drive through and never have to wait long. Orders are usually (but not always) complete when presented. There have been times when an item or two didn’t make it in the bag. Still, the cost of the food is so minute that you can’t get mad.
They have pretty awesome milkshakes, too!

This place has pretty decent fast food burgers. The milk shakes are really good too.

Service is horrible. Waited for 8 mins at the drive thru to order and no one was on the speaker. Girl working other window could see that we kept saying «hello…hello». Finally went in an asked for a manager, he was unapologetic and blamed it on the vehicle scale. No… I’m sorry or I apologize. Inside was filthy… girl behind cash register almost slipped on the greasy floors when handing our order to the cooks. First and last time… same burger as five guys but they are nicer and cleaner.

AMAZING! Very friendly staff and great food! Their milkshakes are great and much better than Sonics. Cook Out has a much better price than Wendy’s and still has better food! Very efficient and got our order RIGHT, unlike Wendys. All around this location is amazing! Milkshakes are a must have.

Pretty good… past few times they have messed up my order. Could use a little training to ensure they complete the order in its entirety… I’ll def be sure to check my order before leaving next time.

I haven’t the chance to try their milkshakes but their food was good. I mean I was kind of surprised at their prices. It was cheap and good. I ordered lunch for me and my wife and it came up to less than $ 12. $ 12 for a spicy chicken sandwich, bacon wrap and fries in addition to 2 hot dogs, hush puppies with more fries and two drinks are very good.

Milkshakes MURDA Sonic’s! That Peach Cobbler and Peanut butter Banana are the truth! I love this place! Thanks to North Carolina’s marketing team for sending a couple locations to ATL. Lordy Lord! It was a dream come true! They haven’t disappointed me yet.

Not bad for a franchise hammer joint. The food is good and pretty quick service. Better than the normal fast food places such as McDonalds or Burger King. I will return

Great place. Excellent milkshakes. Mix any flavors, same cost. This year I had the Double Chocolate mixed with Cherry Cobbler. The corndogs are so good. Their burgers and hotdogs are good as well. The sauces are packets of Ken’s Steakhouse. All in all, I look forward to this on the way back from the beach each year. They also play Christian music.

This location was clean and the service was very fast. Their food and milkshake choices are extensive. I tried the seasonal watermelon milkshake and it was delicious. My kids are picky eaters, but they like the food here. That makes this place a winner for me!

Thought this place was going to be overrated. Boy was I wrong. The food was great. Their combo’s included three items and it was under $ 6. You can’t beat that. They also have great milkshakes. I had the Reese’s cup milkshake. It was damn good. I can’t wait until Cook Out expands to Atlanta.

As a new yorker i was a bit jealous when I visited the fam in rock hill, I heard this place is amazing when its really just a bang for your buck. You get what you pay for good variety but quality aint so good. Its ight

Unlike the Tryon location (where I had my first dip into the darkside, er, maiden voyage, of Cook Out), this location offers indoor seating with some nice wooden-​paneled walls. This is awesome to have during cold nights. On weekends, it’s packed with high schoolers and slacker kids like me, all wanting our hushpuppies.
Now, the combo tray. The Cook Out combo tray (less than $ 5) is a glorious example for the true potential of side items. Bacon wraps are a side. A corn dog is a side. I’d say shy away from the BBQ and go for a Cook Out burger or a chicken sandwich. The cajun style is pretty spicy and packs a nice flavor, whereas the BBQ is a bit pulpy and mushy.
I’ve long wanted to try a Super Size Me-​style experiment and try every one of their 30+ milkshake flavors, but then I realize how much of a bad idea too much of a good thing is. If you’re not totally grossed out by it, the milkshakes also make a nice dipping vessel for hushpuppies. Those cornbread nuggets and blueberry cream go together surprisingly well.
For fast food on budget tighter than pants on Thanksgiving, this is the place to go.

Best deal in fast food. Menu is huge and service is fast. Where else can you get a double burger or BBQ sandwich with TWO sides (hushpuppies, fries, slaw, nuggets, corn dog, chicken wrap, and more) with a huge sweet tea for under $ 5? Food quality is better than other fast foods and even some restaurants. Glad there is finally a Cook Out in Rock Hill!

Visited my sister in Rock Hill recently and ate at Cook Out too many times…
How can you deny a meal for $ 4.39 (entrée, two sides and a drink) and for a dollar more get a big thick milkshake (40 flavors!). So many choices in the meal too!
My favorite food items were the Double burger with cheese and tomato costing extra, the milkshakes, the chicken strips were good and crunchy and big! and last but so not least the BLT for 99 cents! Outstanding!
Now for the reason I am taking off 2 stars: the service is fast but the most unfriendly people work there I have come across. I suppose this is how it is in these parts but being from CA I am not used to it. No greeting, no smile, no personality from any of the people that work there that helped me all the times I went. Not cool and very annoying. I don’t understand why either.
Overall Cook Out is awesome, fresh food made to order and FAST! Just don’t expect service with a smile.

What’s not to like about Cook Out? Although I’m not writing home about the BBQ or hamburgers… I’m not complaining one little bit.
One word that describes Cook Out is Worthy.
Cook Out is worthy of your business because the food is always good, the food is always affordable, and the service is always quick and friendly. You can also get an entire meal for under $ 5.

Avoid: Getting a BBQ sandwich to go (Your bun will be a gooey mess from the slaw by the time you get where you’re going)

Ordered from here yesterday. Ordered the BBQ sandwich (comes with texaspete BBQ), a bacon wrap, and fries. The BBQ was a little dry and the bun was a bit soggy, but other than it was a great experience. And the sweet tea was good too. Would like to order from here again sometime.
