Changing to Comporium Security has been a big mistake for us. The one star is the lowest and required to write a review so there you go. We left another service to save on cost and you know what they say about getting what you pay for… We have had so many connectivity issues with this service. As a starting point we did get our own security cameras which never fail & allows for continuous visibility of our home. Now let’s discuss this service. Both myself and my husband travel for work so what good is it to have Comporium’s security which loses connectivity requiring us to re-boot the system over & over. Heeelllloooo!!! We’re NOT home. Sometimes it is 2 – 3 times daily. This was the final straw in buying our own cameras. Security! Really! My husband arrived home one evening and set off the alarm yet NOTONE person made contact via telephone or email to check on what was happening at the house. Due to frustrations we disconnected their system and the nerves of this company to send certified mail about system connectivity to us. I had to waste my time to go pick this up. I called them immediately and informed them that we intentionally disconnected the service due to consistent connectivity issues and failure to make contact after alarm went off. I asked to NOT send us anymore certified notices. After months of having the system off we still get emails about loss connectivity and reconnect although we disconnected. How’s that possible? Is monitoring occurring? Due to contract we are forced to pay for this service but thank God it ends this month. We will NOT, NOT, NOT be back. As a side note my husband pays almost $ 300/month with this provider between their internet, phone, cable and security. We’re actively looking into getting rid of Comporium all together. It’s terrible when limited choice forces consumers to one vendor. Seems there are other companies on the horizons. Not soon enough though.
