Oh my god is this place phenomenal. Started off with nachos that had pulled pork on them and they were hands down some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. For the main meal I had the pulled pork sandwich and that was also very good. My girlfriend got off the gluten free menu the applewood smoked meatloaf and that tastes just like mamas cookin. Only negative side is that the service was kind of slow but all in all a fantastic experience. Most definitely will be returning.

I absolutely love the butternut squash ravioli! The food here is great, but that’s what keeps me coming back. The service could be better. I love the atmosphere and overall feel of the place. Very nice date night spot.

Great place to eat to celebrate something. Have a lively, fun and unique atmosphere. Have not yet had a bad experience with any staff either. Very accommodating. Menu has some awesome diverse choices for all appetites alike and even caters specific TO Gf with an entire menu dedicated to them which is great and not seen at most restaurants. I really like their turkey cranberry sandwich and the bread is to die for. Went here to celebrate after getting job at Mayo was would not have wanted to be anywhere else.

Terrible restaurant. The service was average but a little on the snotty side the first time I went with my wife. We were staying at the hotel another time and we decided to give it another shot. This time the service was so bad that I didn’t give any tip. She was rude even and the food was cold when it first came out. When I sent it back I just got more bad food. The food had declined in quality since the first time we went. Overall a bad restaurant.

A fun cosmopolitan atmosphere and great appetizers. The girls from work and I like to meet here in the warm months on their outdoor patio. It’s very beautiful and the furniture is very inviting. Service is excellent. Too bad the view is of old busy city streets.

Gluten Free Review +Entire Gluten Free Menu +Gluten Free Dedicated Kitchen +Probably top 5GF restaurant in US. Located in a hotel, this is the best gluten free restaurant I’ve ever been to in my life. Being from Texas it’s hard to find gluten free restaurants, but to have an entire menu dedicated to being gluten free is the best thing ever. I can only speak for gluten-free people on this review so if you are, this is the place to go. Nothing like a cold omission or redbridge gluten-free beer alongside an appetizer of Parmesan truffle bites that are served with blue cheese and marinara which is the most epic fried gluten free goodness I’ve ever had. The pear bites, asparagus straws, and pork meatloaf is all epic. Get your butt in there and support this business, the interior is beautifully done and the bartender was super helpful. I’ll be back tommorow, and again while I’m in town.

I have previously had absolutely wonderful experiences at this place. On Saturday night I was treated like dirt by the bartender(Tim?). He repeatedly ignored my attempts to get his attention, to the point that he made eye contact with me and then turned to someone else and asked if they wanted anything. I had never met him before and we had not spoken, so there was absolutely no discernible reason for his incredible rudeness. I ended up simply walking out of the business entirely.

I am in Rochester for business. I have quite a few food issues, so it’s nice to be able to stick to my diet when possible. One of the other gluten-free women at the conference I am attending told me about Twigs. One of the nights that dinner was not included, I decided to check it out. Gluten-free or not, I’d recommend checking out Twigs. I had the Pork Wings(which I am told are almost never available), and they were amazing! I’m from Chicago where I would have expected to pay about $ 30 for a meal like that, but it was listed on the menu at $ 16.99! Um, yes please! I paired it with a gluten-free beer for $ 5 and had a great dinner for under $ 25(without tip). The food tasted great and was an amazing deal!

Food is usually good but the wait! Omg! My party has been waiting for over an hour for some small plates. Difficult watching people come in, be sat, order, get food, and get ready to pay before the waitress even comes to check on you. Make sure you are not super hungry or on a time schedule before you get here!

I never write reviews. However, when the service is just bad enough to push you to the point of reviewing, then perhaps I can help others avoid this problem. Similar to what others said, there was no acknowledgement when I walked in– meaning two of the hosts ignored me to dumbly pass the phone back and forth taking what must have been room service orders. When one of the girls walking by and ignoring the line of people waiting for seats finally acknowledges me, she tells me it’ll be 35 minutes(the place is full of empty tables and I’m flying solo). So I go sit at the bar to wait. The bartender(Tom I believe) makes absolutely no effort to look my way let alone hand me a menu. I finally flag him down, asking for a menu and he seems clearly annoyed. When I politely ask him for a drink menu and ten minutes(when he finally comes back) later a gluten free menu, he’s clearly pissed. Long story short. the service is terrible. Especially at the bar. If you’re gluten free, go to one of the many other places in Rochester who are happy to have your patronage.

I’ve always wanted to try Twigs so we decided to swing by on a warm sunny Thursday night because I’ve heard lots of good things about their patio. We walked up to the restaurant and I noticed that their patio fireplaces were blazing but all their patio umbrellas were piled up in the corner. Dang, guess I won’t be sitting on the patio(I’m sensitive to the sun AND who wants their pinot grigio boiling under the summer sun?) Walk in and the hostess is scribbling on something… doesn’t look up and greet us at all. A few minutes go by and she finally acknowledges us… just to tell us someone will be with us shortly??? Ohhhh kaaaay. A few more minutes go by and we were eventually seated.(The place is almost empty BTW) I ask the waitress if there is a happy hour, her response«I think so, let me go ask». A second waitress comes by 30 seconds later to give us water and I ask her about the happy hour… I get the same response. At this point I was really annoyed and I’m a very easy going person. So we actually got up and walked out… that’s the first time I’ve ever done that. Anyway… that was a really long story with an unhappy ending :-p

The restaurant is attached to the Centerstone plaza hotel. Generally, most restaurants attached to hotels are ok… but this one is awesome. They have a large choice of gluten free and great tasting healthy food choices. This is the First time I tried gluten free carrot cake and it was delicious… homemade with fresh ingredients. This is my third night stay and I have ordered very dinner meal from this restaurant… I give every meal a 5 star rating.

I had high hopes for Twigs, but found myself poorly disappointed. The Thai Cream Scallop appetizer was good, but nothing spectacular. My boyfriend ordered from the rock grilling menu. Unique concept, but I go to a restaurant so I don’t have to cook. His mashed potatoes were good, but came out cold. I got the Parmesan Polenta. I was so excited for this dish, but it was nothing like I had expected. It had an odd flavor that I didn’t quite care for. The waitress was not very attentive. She spent half of her time flirting with a table of gentleman(I don’t even think it was her table). She also messed up on my drink order. She seemed aloof and annoyed with our table and with others around us. Maybe it was just an off night, but overall, it was not the experience I had hoped for.

Everything we had was very good — but the wait time was long. Try the Surly Bender, a local brew. It was worth the wait. Atmosphere and vegetarian/vegan options made it a worthwhile trip.

I’m vegetarian and yes, the options are limited, but the veggie sandwich was amazing. Sweet potato fries were great too. I’d go back!

The décor and name are very nice. I sat down to a sticky wood table — sticky due to the varnish of the wood and humidity. This is something I don’t think should happen at a fancy restaurant which is what they are trying to be. The food was overpriced, weird, and just not worth it. I dined with five other ladies and tasted everything they had — we all got something different. A couple items that were good —the parm bites and the chicken and wild rice soup and the green beans with blue cheese dressing. I ordered the polenta and i expected creamy goodness – it was a fried chunk of thick cornmeal with an omelet on top and some ground pork… for right around 15.00…yeah — I was not impressed. The restroom is all the way outside of the restaurant and past the hotel lobby – not classy. The bread were those prefab white rolls that they heat in the oven. Seriously can you not do better with a bread choice? I will avoid this place next time I’m in the area.

Color me surprised when I found a restaurant in out hotel(the Best Western Soldier’s Field) that was really delectable. I am a huge fan of the spinach cranberry salad and the caramet apple martini!!! The ambiance is pleasing and the food is wonderful. As a guest of the hotel, it is nice to just step out of the elevator and eat a delicious, healthy meal right here without running all over town. I highly recommend this restaurant and I know I would visit if I were a local. Did I mention how good the caramel apple martini is??? :-)

Stone grilling: An unique way to cook your meat. Go for their hot rock menu and you won’t regret it. This selection makes Twigs Tavern a gem in the neighborhood. For the two of us, we ordered a combo platter for two. For $ 38, you get to have filet mignon, tavern cut steak, bobcock pork, jumbo scallops, and shrimps, 5 difference sauces, 2 sides, and grilled pepper on the side. It is not just affordable, Twigs Tavern had a nice ambiance too. We dined there for early evening when it wasn’t too cold yet, with the running water and luscious plants next to us, it was a perfect spot for dating. Definitely must try.
