Visiting here after several years and I liked it a lot. Very elegant and classy. They have plenty of outdoor seating if one wishes to enjoy the lovely outdoor weather and dine. The service is very good — our server was Meghan. I tried the Quesadilla Appetizer, which had smoked chicken, roasted peppers, onions, pepper jack cheese, hint of pico, sour cream and guacamole. Weirdly enough I somehow felt like pizza so I opted for the Frank Pizza which was very thin but soft crust, had several different cheeses and artistic drizzle of balsamic on top, tomatoes and pepperoni. Standard coffee to finish it off as we were having quite the in-depth technical discussion and needed the boost to keep our technical facts straight! Will visit again.

Have been there 3 times in the past few weeks. All three have been great. The food and service are fantastic.

The previous restaurant they had here was much nicer. Now it’s just meh. Won’t be going again.

Solidly meh. It’s an attractive spot, nice views. Our server Cheryl was very friendly and working hard. It wasn’t busy at all — the entire main room was empty and we were the only table in the outer room, with a few outside tables occupied as well — so it didn’t make sense that service was so slow. Friendly, but slow. The food, though — that’s what was really disappointing. Margarita pizza had a soggy crust and pale tomatoes. If I can get nicer looking tomatoes at Kroger or Costco, they should be able to as well! Eggs Benedict was very bready, soggy, the eggs weren’t cooked enough, the sauce was very thick with a strange aftertaste, and it was served lukewarm. I ate what I could, which was mainly ham scraped of all sauce and liquid egg whites, but it was so unappetizing. I’ve never pushed a plate of Eggs Benedict away in my life but I did today! With other brunch possibilities in town, I don’t see a return visit in the future. For 5 people who basically ordered breakfast, with no cocktails, the bill was $ 102 not including tip. That’s too much to spend for mediocrity. They will validate valet parking if you remember to give them your ticket.

Very nice finishings. Messed up reservation policy. Their website says only parties of 6 or more can reserve a table, but when you get there, premium tables for 4 on the terrace are mysteriously reserved. Food is pretty good, but should be a lot better for where it is. Skillet is tiny and doesn’t even come with toast, but the hash has real corned beef and is scratch made. Don’t think we’ll return.

Brunch was so incredibly disappointing. I ordered the egg white frittata and it was very bland and almost flavorless. The only flavor I picked up on was the arugula. I had to eat a piece with every bite. Once the arugula was done I was done. The server was also out of it the entire brunch. I don’t know if he was hung over or didn’t know what he was doing. And to follow suit with the experience he charged the wrong amount on the two credit cards. We all agreed we will it be going back there.

LOVETHENEWLOOK! Had lunch today here and I’m really impressed. Sat at the bar and my lovely server Cheryl was outstanding. Just had a pot of tea, the best French onion soup with house made bread that’s worth every penny. Highly recommend.

They have changed the look of 600 Bar & Kitchen. I actually really like it! What used to be the main dining area is now an upscale bar and sitting area. They even upgraded the floors and decorations too. It looks great! We had the Valentines special for dinner. It included two of all appetizers. There were eel cooked in a yummy plum sauce, shrimp, lobster and crab cakes, tuna, and mussels. All was delish except we didn’t try the tuna! One of us is allergic to fish and the other just doesn’t like it. In between the main plate out cool waitress brought us some raspberry gelato to ease the palate. That was a good idea! Then came out our main dish; a filet with mashed garlic potatoes and vegetables. The steak was cooked to my liking(a perfect medium minus) and the potatoes were so smooth and creamy. The veggies were decent. For dessert we got the chocolate covered two hearts shaped cake. It was the right amount of sweet and not overly done. We had a bottle of Cabernet too. It was a great bottle. Our waitress took care of us quick too. She was always there to fill up our waters or wine. We will return here soon!

Waitress was pushy. Also food was OK more like cheap hotel food dressed up. Got bouilbasse the seafood not the star. The airline for dipping was and a squash soup so thick it was like baby food.

Went there for brunch with a small group this past Sunday. Remodel looks fantastic– the new bar is beautiful and loved the open wood burning stove. Service was excellent, restaurant very clean, however… the food and drink was extremely disappointing. I ordered a Bloody Mary. It was«good» but it didn’t knock my socks off or anything. The drink was $ 10 and I thought for 10 dollars my celery shouldn’t be wilted and literally bent over the glass. 2 of my friends also had Bloody’s and their celery was also rubbery and wilted. What bartender serves a drink like that? The brunch menu is pretty limited– I had the chili which comes in a small skillet and is served over a biscuit and has a poached egg on top. It was satisfactory but I sort of thought the egg on top was odd. It was a fairly small portion and was $ 12. Very overpriced for a bowl of chili and was pretty bland. My Mom had the Country Breakfast which was also $ 12. The eggs were very dry, like they had been sitting under the heat lamp for quite a while. She said her bacon was«like shoe leather» and she didn’t touch it. The Rosemary Potatoes were pretty greasy and not crispy or fresh at all. It sort of reminded me of a Big Boy breakfast bar… very disappointing for $ 12. The menu also asks you to «refrain from making any substitutions and to enjoy the menu as presented.» Really? I’ve eaten many times at the Royal Park before it changed to Park 600 and always thought it was stellar… this was a big bummer. Won’t recommend or return.(But please note– the service was excellent.)

I was so excited to come here, but wound up pretty disappointed. Long story short: food was fine and reasonably priced, but the service left a lot to be desired. Everyone working there was very nice — just not very attentive. We were told there would be a 25-minute wait, so we sat at the bar for a drink. The bartenders didn’t acknowledge us for quite a while — granted, they were pretty busy, but were making drinks right in front of us and didn’t even say hi and that they’d be with us soon. After waiting about 45 minutes(luckily with drinks by that point), we asked the hostess how much longer it might be. She then seated us right away — a nice surprise, but it made us feel like she had probably forgotten about us that entire time and we could’ve waited another hour if we didn’t bring it up. Once we were seated, we waited a while for a server to come over. When he did, he set down water and glasses without introducing himself and walked away before we could order any drinks or appetizers. We didn’t see him much more at our table throughout the meal, which was a little frustrating because he seemed to be more attentive to some of his other tables. Our meals arrived at different times(Frank pizza and the meatballs — good, but lukewarm) and our wine didn’t arrive until we were halfway through our dinner. We then had to track down the server to get our bill after waiting 20 minutes once we finished eating — and then half our leftovers never made it back once they took it away to box it for us. Oh, and while we were eating, another employee was carrying clean glasses to the bar with his fingers inside them. :/ While any one of these service issues could’ve been overlooked on a busy Friday night, all of them in one trip just won’t cut it. I’m hoping it’s just growing pains from the switchover, because I really want to love it here!

Went with a group of friends on a Friday night, our first time since the renovation. The restaurant was crowded and very noisy. Food was average, service was awful. We ordered drinks and waited what seemed like 15 minutes. Then another 20 minutes or so to take our food order. Maybe they were too busy or understaffed, but service was not very good. They do not offer bread service, it is ala carte. We ordered entrees, not small plates, but were told bread would be extra. What’s? Will not return. There are many others dining options in the area.

I was shocked at the transformation of an elegant restaurant deserving of a 5 star hotel to a stainless steel bar that could be found on any main street in the area. Recently, I tried it and the menu selection is terrible along with the service. I guess it’s deserving of the $ 9/plate for Tator Tots seeing that it’s an upscale restaurant. If I want a bar atmosphere, I’ll go somewhere with a better menu selection, pricing and service — like Gus O’Connor’s just down the street.

I was disappointed with the atmosphere in the new restaurant. The previous restaurant was elegant and the décor matched the overall hotel experience. I have enjoyed many dinners there in the past with my family. The beautiful fireplace and traditional menu always was a wonderful experience. A family favorite was ending the meal with the flaming Bananas Foster dessert. The menu was a disappointment and the service was terrible. I had to ask three times to get the dressing for my salad. The«bread«brought to the table was matzo cracker with hard butter on a plate. The overall décor reminded me of an airport restaurant with stainless steel and modern fixtures. I suppose if you want to sit at a bar and order pizza and tater tots then you have found your place. Small plates don’t make it if you are looking for an elegant meal. I am sad to see the change. Downtown Rochester has many other places for go for a nice meal. I don’t understand why the management did not just expand and update the bar that is across the hall in the front of the hotel instead of changing the fine dining room. My thought was that it was not profitable but we always needed a reservation for dinners and brunch so it looked well attended. Sadly I won’t be eating there again.

Everything from start to finish was delicious. We came here for a birthday and we ordered a bunch of stuff and I enjoyed everything. The vodkas drink with grapefruit was very good but a little bit strong. For small plates I’d suggest the brie, mussels and tater tots. The shishito peppers were plain and bland. The french onion soup was not warm enough and the amount of cheese was a bit overwhelming. The tater tots were my favorite starter. The baked brussel sprout salad had a lot of flavor and was delicious. The duck fat fries were good but not as good as the truffle fries that came with the burger. The duck fat fries are a bit overrated. The Mediterranean pizza was one of the best Mediterranean pizzas I have ever had. The park 600 burger was amazing. Something about egg on a burger just makes me happy. The meatballs were great, especially with the mashed potatoes on top. The meatballs were a bit dry but the person who thought of putting mashed potatoes on them is a genius. They had a lot of spices and flavor. If I were to get them again I would ask for more puttanesca sauce on it. The trout and the pork shank were my two favorite entrees. The trout was just so refreshing and cooked perfectly. The pork shank was on another level of amazingness. It was cooked perfectly on the bone and the glaze on it was so flavorful. The crème brûlée was also amazing. I couln’t stop eating at Park 600. Everything that came out was delicious. I will definitively be back and I can’t wait to try more items on the menu.

Excellent food and atmosphere. Enjoyed appetizers of brussels sprouts and snow crab. Entrée of scallops, osso bucco, and frank pizza. Followed up by dessert of Brûlée and chocolate cake. Liquor and Wine prices outrageous. Had a shot of Balveny Scotch…$ 20(bottle retail is around $ 42). If desire is to attract people to come and enjoy cocktails and enjoy dinner need to reassess price points to enjoy cocktails and wine. Beer prices seem slightly high put reasonable.

The remodel is great. Very open and the granite bar is inviting. The wide open wood fired pizza oven with bar stools top see what the Chefs are doing is a Rochester exclusive. The food is great and approachable.
