This theater is by far the most comfortable in town. You can’t beat the huge reclining seats and big cup holders. I strongly recommend buying your seats online ahead of time.

Reserved Reclining Seats! No other theater in Rochester currently has them. While some may complain about the online reservations, I love that I can pick my seats ahead of time. No need to go really early. It would be nice if they made it so you can’t leave one open seat in the middle of the row when reserving. This would allow more people to sit together. I do wish they would a coffeehouse. That would be fantastic! I not always in the mood for soda. Sometimes you just want a hot drink.

I really love their seats here! I’m going to continue to drive across town just to use them. Nice theater overall and you can have alcohol too

We came to this theater after looking on Google for movie theaters that had a certain movie. I’d never been to this theatre and was excited. It was busy and I finally got to the teller, I asked for tickets and she was just like. .you have to reserve tickets online. And immediately looked to the next person, no explanation given. So we went back into the hallway and I looked up the tickets online. I was about to buy them when it said we were being charged a 3 dollar convenience fee. When we went to ask the hall attendant why this was so convenient that we needed a fee. .he was so dismissive and practically ignored us. Then he says he’s never heard of the movie we wanted to see! Yet it was right there, and we could buy tickets for it.. For someone that has never been there, it was difficult to understand and maybe we were doing something wrong but we’ll never know because we were ignored and treated like crap. We won’t be back.

This used to be my theater of choice because of its proximity to our house. We’ve since moved across town and we still choose this theater. Why? Because of the AMAZING recliner seats!
This theater also tends to do a lot of kid activities that go along with the currently playing kids movies (for example they just did a big Zootopia themed craft/​activities event last weekend).
Everything else is pretty much your typical movie theater; overpriced snacks, bar, small arcade…

I only come here now for movies. They have full size reclining seats with foot rests! They are fantastic. Cup holders too. They also have a full bar so you can have a beer or whatever not just popcorn.

The improvements that have been made to this theater are great! Its very clean and they can’t go wrong with the reclining seats! Comfort to the max!

Two words: reclining seats. Need I say more?! I guess I got to. They got an arcade on the side with stacking blocks (which I rock every time, but the game is a complete cheater on the last row). You have your adult beverages to the right counter. Typical concession stand, but theaters get brownie points for having powdered popcorn flavors. Bathrooms are pretty damn clean.
The bad thing however is how quickly and limited the seats are now. You can reserve them online but their is an additional online fee. They took away the ibm, omc, (mayo) discounts but luckily students get % off. I highly recommend that they squish people together during the seating arrangements. There is usually that one seat in between couples of two so it would look like this:
XX [] XX [] [] XX: make people sit together so others can get into that row. so that it becomes: XXXX [] [] [] XX or something along those lines (figure it out, I don’t make the policies).

Love the reclining seats. Wish they hadn’t gotten rid of the Mayo discount, but they need to pay for the renovations and make up for the decrease in capacity of 40−60% that accompanied them…
Screen was of average size and sound was great. The place was clean. The only complaint I have is that the lights along the stairwell next to me distracted me because they were a bit bright.

For the most part this is an average, well-​run movie theater. With, however, an important exception. The seats here are the most comfortable, relaxing seats ever. They adjust with an electronic button that puts the feet up and reclines near 160degrees. Seats are wide too. Very impressed, even bigger cities dont have such amenities. And the ticket prices are good to; they accept discounts for students, seniors, and police/​military.

Paragon is my favorite movie theater. The new reclining seats are awesome but that means fewer people in each theater so I don’t wreck room and going to a brand-​new movie because it’s harder to get seats sometimes unless you show up early.

The new seats here are AMAZING!!! Went to see Inside Out (which was a fantastic movie) and was surprised to be greeted by these luxurious and plush seats. They were practically lazy-​boy recliners (except more comfortable, if you can imagine that). They had a power recline feature with a footrest that got you near horizontal. It cut down the number of people who could sit in the theater, which I would think would affect the pricing (fewer people have to pay more…), but the ticket prices suddenly seemed extremely reasonable for the experience (something I haven’t been able to say about a move theater in a long, long time).
The popcorn was what you’d expect — salty, shovel in your mouth, addictive goodness.
For the atmosphere and suddenly reasonable-​seeming prices, I know this will be my theater of choice in Rochester!

Our neighborhood go to theatre for movies. Clean and comfortable. Lots of movie choices. I also like that the décor reminds of its namesake, the ow closed ionic Château movie theater downtown.

Short Version:
Clean theater with good showtimes and prices that gets pushed into the «impressive» category with their theater seating chairs. Very, very comfortable seating that makes it feel like a luxurious treat to watch a movie.
Long Version:
I’m not sure I entirely understand the low reviews on this theater, but maybe I’m comparing it to Iowa theaters as those tend to be my movie theaters of choice. Paragon Château was amazing. Easily one of the best theaters I’ve ever gone to. We went on a Tuesday, and movies are $ 6 a person on Tuesday. I figured these were just super-​special prices, but a quick glance at the Paragon website shows that regular movie prices are $ 9 a person for adults on most weeknights. That’s pretty good!
The concession area was clean and very open and easy to get around. I loved the neat little bar and everything, but since we were coming midday, nothing was really open. We ended up getting some popcorn (overpriced and to be expected), but a «Medium» was easily more popcorn than either of us could finish throughout the entire movie. I imagine their «Large» (aka «Best Value» size) was designed to feed a whole 4-​person family. Popcorn comes without salt or butter by default, so make sure to ask for some if you want some.
Because of all of the traffic they get, some theater bathrooms get a bit dirty. While the design was a bit dated, the bathrooms were pretty clean.
The theater itself was where I was impressed. The seating was amazing! I’m not entirely sure that the majority of their theater rooms were set up this way, but the theater seats in theater 13 were what I’d basically built into my «dream home theater» set up. Made from a faux leather with built-​in cupholders, extremely spacious seats, and moveable arm rests (for good cuddling), these seats were really comfortable. As the kicker, the chairs were equipped with electronic foot rests that moved up and down at the press of a button. With the way the back-​most seats were situated in the theater, it was impossible to see the people in the row in front of you — even their heads. This means that even if someone was texting or whatnot in the row in front of me, it wouldn’t bother my experience. I liked that set-​up.
Movie quality was good, and the sound level was about perfect. Very pretty 4K high-​definition that made Mad Max enjoyable to watch.
While I’m not from the area, if I wanted to see a movie in the area again, this is, for-​sure, where I’d go.

I usually don’t go to this theater because the other theaters in town are either more reasonably priced or are a little more convenient. However, this theater was the only one in town showing the movie that my wife and I wanted to see. I was surprised at the $ 9 admission price for a matinée before 5 pm, I could see $ 6 or even $ 7, but I went with it. Concession prices were comparable with other theaters, but the popcorn was tasteless, and the concession area could have used a bit of a cleanup by, maybe one of the many staff that were hanging out in the hallways, leaning on their brooms. We arrived a little early before the show and we noticed that the ads before had no sound. I went to enquire, and the young man informed me that they had been having issues from the company that provided the ads and that, to be sure, once the previews and film started, we would have sound. We did, but apparently someone forgot to tell the crew that the lights should be turned down once the film starts. We had lighting on the entire duration of the film. We had heard when this theater was renovated that it would be better and look better than it did previously, but it looks like not much was done, if you look closely, it looks like there was just paint applied over all of the nicks and cracks from before. I don’t ask much from a movie theater except a nice place to go, good service, and an enjoyable experience for the money that I pay, and in this case, I only got to see a movie, which I can easily do from home. If I have the choice again to wait until it’s available to stream or visit this theater again, I’ll wait.

No complaints here. Attended a private event and found the theater to be clean, seats very comfy (reclining and stuff!), and sounds fine to my amateur ears.
I didn’t interact much with the staff but from what I saw, they appear to be your usual group of half decent teenagers.
The popcorn was good, tasted fresh, not greasy, and not ridiculously salty. The soda tasted weak, which I’ve found to be common at theaters.
This is the third movie I’ve seen in a theater in 10 years, but if I feel like seeing a fourth, I’d definitely come here again.

This is a nice theater! I am not a Rochester native, but would definitely come here again when visiting my friends.
For the most part theaters are theaters, so here are my pros/​cons:
–Pretty location with stone bluffs
–Huge Parking Lot
–Cheap ticket (especially considering the $ 15 price tag in the cities for most movies)
–Clean
–Most of the workers are kids, and a little slow to draw
–Seats could be more comfortable
