Paint Nite

So much fun! Great atmosphere. The artists are fantastic. I’ve been to several events and as long as you have an open mind, know how to have fun, and are willing to step out of your comfort zone, you’re sure to have a blast.

What a great evening! First off I found a Groupon (with 20% promo code) and it was super cheap. Rachel was the staff member for our fall portrait. She was pleasant and personable. She made sure that everyone was there prior to starting (that wanted to be) but still pretty much started and finished on time.
Rachel took the time to describe and demonstrate each step of the painting — offering help to those that wanted it. There was plenty of time for each step and I never felt rushed. They take pictures of the event and place on their facebook page the night of.
You can easily schedule the event online. You get there a little early so that you can grab a drink/​snack at the location you choose. Wear older clothes as the paint can stain. The crowd was 90% women but there were 2 guys there and 1 being my husband (great sport he is) who loved that we were in a pub that had sports on TV. Bring cash to tip if you chose.
I would recommend Paint Nite for a fun ladies night out or date night. FYI its okay if you are not artistic at all — because I am not.

Attended Paint Nite at Nola’s BBQ on ⁷⁄₃₁. Apparently, the original host was not able to attend, so an 18 year old took her place. We started at least 20 minutes late. She had no idea what she was doing and was definitely acting like an 18 year old. She gave very little direction — isn’t that what we’re paying for? When she said ‘highlight the mountains on the right’ and I corrected her by saying ‘do you mean the left?’ and she said ‘leave me alone.’ The lighting was not suitable for painting, as you can tell from the pictures that were taken (on their FB page) that night. We ran late (of course) and there was a band that was setting up. They tried moving her stuff and she threatened to cut of his arm. She called her assistant her bitch and the assistant left at some point. I sent this same info via their survey and an email via their website and have only received an apology. UPDATE: I received 2 coupon codes for free paint nites.
