New Fong Kitchen

It took me 5 years to find a new place to order from that was near home. No one could compare to my favorite on the other side of town. New Fong was recommended highly by many people and they delivered to my house! They are now my go-​to! Great food, delivery is awesome and it satisfies all my cravings. Best Chinese food in and around the Greece!

If they burned the food and they know they burned it, why give it to customers that way? This is the second time I’ve ordered from this restaurant and when I get home (I order for pickup) I find my food is burned. This is unacceptable.

I’m new to Rochester (from NYC area) and have visited a number of local Chinese food restaurants. The food at New Fong is far superior to the one’s I have tasted from Lake Avenue and another in Gates. The egg foo young was light and fluffy, yet substantial and the egg roll cooked perfectly and was tasty. I’m happy to have finally found a place I feel comfortable in ordering from for my friends when they visit.
Drawback — it was hot as Hades in there!

The food here is exceptional. Always fresh tasting, huge portions. Delivery is very quick. Usually delivered with 20 – 25 mins from the time I order. However, I gave them four stars as calling in your order can be a little daunting. Be prepared to scream your order into the phone several times. The kitchen staff are usually yelling so loud the person taking the order can never hear you. I have found that screaming the menu item number works the best and i have yet for them to get the order wrong. If they correct this issue, I would give them 5 stars.

Best Chinese take-​out in Rochester! I always pick up my food and no matter how much or what I order, I’m always told… «It’ll be ready in 10 mins».

The food portions are huge and they are in a convenient location. The chicken is good and so is the rice. It’s hard to mess up!
It’s affordable, and the lunch specials are priced very fairly. I have no issues with New Fong, except I do not like their Lo Mein, just don’t!
You won’t regret ordering from here, but I do like Chef King more.

The food is really great here. It’s my favorite Chinese food in the area. Sometimes it’s difficult to understand the person taking your order but they almost always seem to get it right. There’s usually a lot of yelling going on in the kitchen but since I always take out it’s not a major concern. There are a few tables but I call ahead and order take out then go and pick it up. When I get there all my food is in a bag so if my order is incorrect I wouldn’t know it until I got home. I’ve had experiences at other places where they made mistakes but this place almost always gets it right. Since I have a large family and my order exceeds a certain dollar amount I get a free 2 liter of soda pop. And like I said the food is really good.

Lunch specials are huge! 7 days a week, 10:30 — 3:30. Dozens of different lunch specials. They have always been quick and pleasant. They have my preferred General Tso chicken. This is my favorite Chinese place.

Best Chinese take out in Rochester. Prices are very affordable with $ 5 lunch specials that come either a soup or egg roll. Food is always hot and quick.

We ordered delivery veg dumplings were good, stuffed with cabbage, carrot etc. The beef and broccoli was ok, the fried rice had a nice amount of pork and veg. I was really looking forward to the garlic eggplant, hoping for fresh sauteed soft little buggers and was disappointed by the dry, fried spongy cubes we got. The hot and sour soup was neither, sadly…

Good food all around, one of the best choices in the area for delivery. There general tsao’s chicken is great

Tried this place for the first time based on recommendations. General Tso’s chicken was fantastic. It was crispy and not chewy or stringy. Veg lo mein was ok, not great. Noodles had a meaty flavor. Not many veggies in it though. Crab Rangoon was tasty, but wasn’t crispy and was thick. Maybe it was baked? I don’t know. Filling was tasty though. Delivery was in the exact time frame given (30 mins). Not bad. Not ruling it out, but nothing exceptional.

I certainly appreciate that their General Tso’s chicken is actually spicy. Not many places in the city get this right.

After 2 different take-​out meals from this place in the last month, about the best thing I can say about them is that the food is edible, and that nobody has gotten sick from it. Lunch choices around this area are a bit limited, so the fact that they deliver is really the only reason that I might order from them again.
