I had a death in the family and took extra time to return a rented item to Molnar’s while sorting through the unexpected life crisis. I fully understand why they would charge late fees regardless of the reason something was returned late. They have a business and it is their right to do so. Molnar’s did not just charge late fees. They called the POLICE and threatened to press charges because an item was a week late to be returned. You have to question the business practices of a store that calls the police and tries to press charges after an item is late to be returned. What a dire emergency! I will be telling all of my friends and family to avoid this business in favor of businesses whom don’t call the police over the tardy return of a rented item. Hopefully Molnar’s spends less time wasting the time of police officers and more time on customer service. One star is too friendly.

I’ve worn three tuxes in my life. Prom, my sister’s wedding and, most recently, a black tie wedding. From prom, some undisclosed years ago I went to president and felt like a chicken at a Tyson Chicken factory. In, out, and threatened with my life the whole time. I recently went to Molnar’s for my most recent suit and the staff was very courteous and friendly and even though they’ve probably hear the whole«I’m going to a wedding» story a million times, they had a great conversation with me. They listened to the type of wedding and had great suggestions for what to wear. The store is literally floor to ceiling with examples, so no need to wait for someone to come out of the back to show you anything. The return/pickup policy was very malleable, since I have a busy schedule, they were fine with me returning it at my convenience. Best of all, was the trust. I didn’t have to sign away my life on a six page document about what would happen if I spilled coffee on it. There were signs, yes, but the staff clearly respected me enough to not have to chide me with how to treat their suits. We’re adults. Price is about what I expected. $ 112 out the door, which I’m pretty sure is what I paid in 19(hmmhrmrto) when I got my tux for prom, so adjusted for inflation, it’s a great deal. Bottom line: Visit this local business instead of the ghastly beast of tuxedo rentals down the street. You’ll love it.

Just dropped off my rental from Molnar’s. What an awesome experience. I just got a job at a local auto manufacturer(I can’t say which one hah) and needed a tux for a black tie event. I didn’t have much time to get it together but the peeps at Molnar’s really had my back. They coordinated and reserved stuff over the phone with me, and encouraged me to set up a personal appointment with them in store to figure out what would fit the event I was attending… and let me tell you I tried one almost EVERYTHING! haha. Really nice people, I can tell why they’ve been around for a long time. President is totally overpriced and no one is ever there. Molnar’s is where it’s at! Way more affordable and best personal service around. HOLLERR

Wow. This place is amazing. They have been around for nearly 40 years(from what the owner told me) and try really hard to please. I came to Michigan for a close friends wedding this past summer and my boyfriend didn’t think he could make it. The day before the wedding he was able to get work off and fly in. We ended up finding Molnar’s Tuxedo and they were able to fit him with a tux on the spot. I was really relieved(for the sake of the wedding photos) and it matched my dress as well(which I wasn’t even planning). The staff is incredibly friendly and sincere and seem to really want to please. I am very happy I was able to find a friendly, independently owned– local shop with great service; Rochester style! p. s. I forgot to mention the inside layout of the store is really impressive. Their store is like an online catalog but better! There are examples of nearly everything to rent on the floor so you can get a better idea of color-matching to dresses and other sizing info. Really awesome. Wish there was some place like this in Boston.
