I just discover this place and I am in love. I get the extra green tea tropical ever time and I am always very happy. The staff is pleasant and quick with my order. Even when there is a line of cars it’s never taken longer the 7 minutes from drive up to getting my order. And when I say line I mean 3 – 4 cars in front of me.

Small vanilla latte for me, Chaipaccino for my son. Both were delicious. Quickly made and we loved the cups they were using. Our server was earnest and polite. Kept us going on that long boring drive to the Twin Cities.

I have been to Moka only twice now but am completely in love. The staff is bubbly and quick, and the hot drinks come with a sticker on top of the sipping hole so you don’t spill anything on yourself while driving. Prices are on par with Starbucks and other chains, which honestly is sort of pricey, but it’s good to treat yourself every once in awhile.

I love MOKA! Usually stop there at least once a day for a Chaipachino. Staff is always all smiles and I always love a place where I can leave a tip. Their coffee thermos’ are completely outrageously priced but I still plan to buy one when I get the extra $ 25 laying around. Coffee is smooth, reasonably priced and fairly quick. I am also a HUGE fan of the fact that their employees openly show their tattoos and piercings

If not having to get out of your vehicle is a draw to you this is the place. Drive up and through, no problems! The assortment of coffee flavored drinks are enough to keep you reading for a few moments. Then you realize it’s yet another over priced starbucks/various coffee shops on half the steroids. Fun just to experience but like a Godzilla B movie, once you’ve seen/done one you’ve seen/done them all. This writers opinion… a placed designed for people who have too much spending money.

I have never had anything bad from this place! Black and white Moka is my favorite! Sea salt Carmel is a close second! I only get expresso drinks and they are great!

Very good, friendly staff who are very helpful for people like me who don’t know what a double shot espresso vanilla frappé is. Tastes great!

They have almond milk! But make sure to ask for NODAIRY or they’ll put a condensed milk base into any blended drink. Dairy allergic people beware!

Stopped by on the way back to the highway after checking out of the nearby Super 8. Got a skim double cap to keep me fueled on the drive to Michigan. Great coffee and a good taste of local flavor on the stop over in Rochester.

I got a lavender latte here that was supremely delicious. I’ve never seen a lavender latte anywhere else, so I always want to stop here when I visit Rochester.

Actually very good and reasonable for a coffee place… My new go-to when visiting my parents in Rochester. I went to one in LaCrosse too, and the quality seems across the board… The X-Large is huge though… Why anyone needs an iced coffee the size of an SA Slurpee is beyond me…

I can’t speak for anything but their drip, but this is an awesome little drive through coffee stand. Less than $ 2 gets you a cup of some of the finest drip coffee around, with a smile. It’s certainly better drip coffee than any of the other coffee shops in Rochester, and the people working here are quite friendly. Worthwhile stop for those mornings you run out of beans at home and feel the lack-of-coffee-headache coming on strong.

Formerly a Java Detour, Moka really impressed me with its drive-through full-range of coffee and tea(and a few snacks). I came across this place quite by accident in my search for a non corporate-machine coffee on my way into downtown. The menu is easy to read and you can take your time before you drive up to the window and actually place your order. The coffee for which it’s named: a Moka, is smooth and with no bitter after-taste. On the downside, if you’re used to a strong, overpowering coffee experience, you won’t find that here unless you add a shot(or two). But for sheer convenience and friendly service, Moka really delivers. Java Detour used to serve fair-trade coffees and I hope with the name change to Moka, they’ve not varied from that policy. In any event, take a detour off the main road. You won’t need to get out of your car and traipse through the snow and rain to get that morning(or afternoon) mini-caffeine fix.
