Solid spot for Mexican fast food! Aside from your typical fast food drive through places, Moe’s prices its food a bit above the expectation.

Good atmosphere, food is good. Portions for the bowls are a little smaller than other Moes. Nice and professional staff

It’s been several years since I’ve been to Moe’s. I’m going to break it down list style. Pros: Portion Size Many Topping Choices Fun Greeting Cons: Long lines(think high school cafeteria) The many flies I saw sitting on the divider The sloppy-messy salsa bar 1 Soda machine = yet another long line Prices While I like the generous portions, I dislike the lack of «freshness» in some of the items. The rice and several of the salsas don’t do it for me. Also, I didn’t think their guac was anything special. Maybe its just as simple a fact that I have grown to love Chipotle… and that can explain why I have abandoned Moe’s over the years. Anywho… I would go again with co-workers on lunch, but that is all.

Definitely the best Moe’s in our area. This location has excellent customer service, staff is usually pleasant, helpful and accurate orders. They are not stingy with ingredients and don’t «huff and sigh» when you ask for more fresh veggies than they initially put on. Other location in the area literally I think uses half the amount of meat on the burritos — by my observation only. I personally think Moe’s meats don’t have the overall depth of flavor when compared to others but I usually get Bean/Veggies Burritos so this isn’t a big deal to me. I love the fresh array of ingredients to choose from and enjoy the raw jalapenos, cilantro, plenty of fresh Pico and the pickled jalapenos as choices. Their self service salsas and hot sauce are great — including the rotating seasonal variety — right now is pineapple and I love it. My favorite thing here is the Queso! Love the Queso — have to get the small size because I know that I would eat it all myself. They give you plenty of chips included in all purchase and they are great. Also love the Coke Freestyle machine.

Surprisingly, I’ve never been to a Moe’s until I moved to Rochester. The food is delish, and the discounts are a nice bonus as well. The bowl is enough for two meals for me, and everything always tastes very fresh.

«Welcome to Moe’s!» is the chorus you hear when you walk in. Immediately to the left running along the whole area is the cafeteria line where you choose what goes in your burrito. To the right paralleling the line is a dining area. Towards the back are the condiments, salsa, beverages, and restrooms. I think this place can seat around 50 people or so, but I never see it get that busy. The ambience is very casual. Cheerful folks with mouthfuls of beans, beef, and salsa hanging out and having a good time. There are portraits of various musicians and contemporary art adorning the walls, which sport an embellished southwestern green/red/yellow/orange color scheme. The menu is fairly straightforward. You basically pick whether you want a burrito, taco, quesadilla, or a bowl, and customize it to your liking. They have fountain drinks as well as a couple different beers to choose from. They come with chips and salsa, which is a perk over Chipotle, where chips are a la carte. I think the food is decent. I usually go for the Joey Bag o’ Donuts, which gives you full customizing reign for your burrito, except it does not come with guacamole. If you want guac, get the Homewrecker. You can choose from various meats. I think the steak is pretty good, but you can’t go wrong with chicken either. I haven’t had the others so I cannot comment on it. The meat is tender and well seasoned, although every now and then I’ll get a chewy piece, but hey it’s more collagen for good skin and cartilage growth ;) There is a nice selection of toppings you can add with no extra charge. I’m partial to lots of toppings on my sandwiches, pizzas, and burritos(and food in general) so I get rice, black beans, steak or chicken, grilled onions, grilled peppers, grilled mushrooms, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, corn salsa, fresh jalapenos, cilantro, and sour cream. I love the huge smattering of flavors. Another plus is that their burritos usually have me feeling pretty comfortable after eating one. To get perfectly full, I usually eat the last little 20% of my fiancée’s burrito that she can’t finish and then I’m happy. Overall, I think this is a good place that’s quick, fun, and casual if you want a mexican food fix and don’t want to go to Taco Bell or a sit down Mexican restaurant. The food tastes fresh and you get a good portion for less than $ 8. I think this place is very comparable to Chipotle in terms of food quality and I go to both fairly regularly, depending on which one is closer at that moment.

Burritos taste great and it’s perfect for when I need to get in and out and back to the office. I wish they had bigger containers for their salsas.

Just an Average Burrito place. Slightly different than Chipotle, but basically the same. You pick your protein, and get whatever toppings you want. The free chips are nice tho.

Better than Chipotle. Food is tasty and quite a few salsa choices. Vegetarian options are decent. Good Americanized Mexican food.

Good selection of faux mexican food. Not always consistant, a small step up from fast food.

Moe’s is pretty decent mexican. The reason I like Moe’s is because of their tofu(I don’t eat red meat and I’d rather eat tofu if I have the option of doing so) and their margarita’s. The place is kind of a fast-food looking little joint, but the food is better than you think.

As far as Burrito chains go, I’ve definitely warmed up to Moe’s. I used to be totally enamored with Chipotle, but after spending some time in Rochester I’ve come to love Moe’s. I’d highly recommend the Art Vandelay if you’re a vegetarian and the Who Is Kaiser Salsa? from the Salsa bar.

Its a nice step up from Taco Bell and variation from Chipotle but the food is nothing that i’d eagerly go seek out. Tex Mex style food from the southwest area that’s more for getting business lunchers in and out. My default choice for a first meal since the hotel’s view from where i staying at directed me here. I had the Funkmeister: crunchy, 2 chicken and 1 pork, lettuce, tomato, cheese, hold the beans. Bottomless chips and salsa bar are a great perk. Service line moves fast, sometimes they dont have enough seating for everyone. Personally, Im all about Mexican food so I’d rather be at Pancho Villas in SF, but I’m in Rochester… I’ll just have to pretend and maybe click my converse.

During lunch hours the line is almost out the door, but we were still able to get our food within 10 minutes. The burritos are gigantic and delicious and they don’t charge you extra for the guacamole like some places. The best part of lunch was that our takeout included a couple hand fulls of their freshly made tortilla chips and our choice of salsa from the salsa bar. Half of the burrito later and I was stuffed, so lunch made for a tasty dinner as well!
