Let’s talk about this hike. It is not a strenuous walk to see some pretty amazing views of the lower falls of the Genesee River. A must do in Rochester. We parked at the Maplewood YMCA, then walked the Lower Falls Pathway. There’s a foot trail that you have to walk down to actually get to the water(by hopping over a small railing) then walk the rocky shore to get some killer views of the falls. The photos show it all. Then, after your hike, check out the Maplewood Rose Garden.

Easily access park along the Genesee river bank. I just discovered it and was enchanted by the beauty and serenity of the place. Impressive and similar gorge to Leitchworth Pk. The rock formation is older than 400 Million y. o!!! It the middle of the park there is a mini Stonehenge like monument to humankind. Neat.
