Five stars for hockey gear, and they seemed to have plenty of lacrosse and volleyball stuff, too. This is definitely a hockey oriented shop, though, with probably 75% of the store dedicated to hockey equipment. I was in search of itty bitty hockey skates for my 3 year old, as well as gear to keep him unbroken while learning to skate. The only pair of skates they had in his size happened to be on clearance(half price!!) but prior to their discovery the guy helping us was going to order some. This was appreciated because I couldn’t find them anywhere online and was becoming convinced they didn’t exist in that size. We purchased a gear package and instead of being handed a bag of the cheapest equipment in a generic size x-small, my son tried on various pieces making sure each item worked for him(though in that size, there were only two options of elbows and shins, and one type of glove). The helmet’s adjustable features were explained to me in detail while my son bounced around the store trying to make everything into a goal(with a mini foam puck). We spent a solid hour and were attended to the whole time without pressure or irritation(which amazed me considering my son was at peak energy levels and the guy helping us was probably 19). Perhaps they’re aware that parents spending $ 150 to start will continue to spend $ 150 every 6 months on new equipment for the next 15 years… What are we getting into…
