In the 15 years our family has come to Mayo this is the WORST hotel ever experienced. There was a convention in town so all hotels were booked solid. There were definitely some bed bugs that bit our legs. The room was not clean. The hallway carpeting had a bad odor. The sheets were old worn My husband had a very serious surgery with the removal of an organ. Post surgery as soon as he was able we got him out if this extremely dirty room and hotel. Many very sick people travel to Mayo Clinic. Hence it is essential to pick a well maintained truly clean hotel for your own continued good health.

We were a last minute addition to a sold out wrestling tournament. The hotel staff was so helpful from the booking to the check in. I loved the separate kiddie pool area. My son had a great time. My husband loved the bed and stated it was so comfortable and the very hot shower felt amazing and so did the heat light afterwards! The breakfast was good.

I’m a fairly easygoing lady, but honestly, this was one of the ickiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. My friend and I were just passing through Rochester on a road trip. Passing through seems to be what people do in Rochester, other than hanging out at the Mayo Clinic, which is certainly not a joyful place either. The second we entered the room, I felt uncomfortable. The walls were patchy and there were stains on the mattress and towels. The cement block walls in the hallways were reminiscent of an inner-city slum apartment complex filled with drug dealers and seedy characters that you see in movies. I felt like I should sleep in a hazmat suit. I tried to use the Unilocal!upgrade check-in offer to get into a better room, but when I presented it to the receptionist, she seemed confused and said there were no better rooms Okay… Why offer it then? I will mention two bonuses to this dingy place, the room had a mini-fridge and there was a random plastic dinosaur outside in the grass. Avoid this hotel and spring for someplace a bit newer.
