Food was good but service was horrible, had to go get my own drinks at the bar twice and the waitress brought our checks when she felt we needed to leave instead of asking. Last time we go there.

We arrived for lunch and found it pretty busy. We were seated quickly to a clean table. unfortunately they were understaffed so we waited and waited we finally got our order but then we needed refills and once again we waited and waited. The food was good but not worth the wait

Our waitress was quite rude — never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled, waited almost 30 min. to get our bill, and did not check on us. We did see her continuously check on her other table across from us, meanwhile ignoring us. I had the fajitas — they were so gross! There was a bbq-like sauce on the steak & veggies, which ruined the entire dish. Good popcorn, great seasonal drink selection, and good specials. My husband had the all you can eat ribs for $ 15(on Wed.) and said they were very good. I would not recommend ordering the fajitas, and don’t expect much for service.

Not impressed it took way too long to get our food then they forgot to bring us silverware. Had to wait for drinks. My burger was ok but the service just spoiled the experience. Plenty of room for groups and a outdoor patio for in summer. They have lots of tvs to watch games and have all the basic sports bar food, nachos, cheese sticks, wings, rings.

We had been disappointed before by eating here, but needed sit down while on the road. When we took our first bite, our reactions were so similar that I giggled. We both said«Hmm!» Pretty good and delivered with a smile. Management should get rid of that noxious«queso» dip, and pair the pretzels with the broccoli cheese soup, which had actual broccoli and actual cheese.

I eaten here a few times because it is so close to the AmericInn. I mostly did pick up orders. The food is decent. I have had burgers to steak to fajitas. The few times I’ve eaten there I have had a few mess ups with my order. They weren’t major mistakes(getting two of the same sides instead of two separate ones)…but it was kind of a bummer. The major issue I have had is the staff that answers the phone. They are very nice and polite but they don’t seem to know much about the menu. There were a few times I got a call back to clarify parts of my order that they forgot to ask(how would I like my burger and stuff like that). One time I places and order, waited 20 minutes to pick it up and then I got there and I was told that they«have been trying to get ahold of me and what size steak would I want». Meaning they didn’t get the order in yet so I had to wait much longer for my order while never having been contacted, they had my right number. I am not sure if it’s because they are new or what but that might be a good area for increased training. It comes down the the customer service.

Pick up service was fast, 15 minutes. We had the Clubhouse Burger with fries and coleslaw and the Grilled Asparagus Bearnaise steak with loaded mashed potatoes and broccoli cheese soup. It was okay… their prices were really high in our opinion. The steak was okay, chewy and had a lot of veins. I ordered it medium and it was still super chewy, not tender like it should be. The Clubhouse burger was good, but dry. We would probably not order again. Priced too high for our budget and the food was just okay.

Salty food, stale crisps, loud club-style«music», and pasta sauce that tastes like the tin can they pulled it from. Go out of your way to find another place to eat.(But at least the wait staff are friendly.)

It’s…all right. Nothing terrible, nothing amazing. It’s all adequate. The menu is exactly what you’d expect walking into a bar and grill, burgers, a few appetizers, a few half baked salads. Their biggest downfall is probably just that they close at 10 on weekdays. Of course, given they are a little ways out from town and a bar, they probably wouldn’t get a whole lot of people wanting to dine, drink, then drive the distance back to their homes.

Not impressed. Menu is all over. The place, waitstaff is «meh». Was asked if we wanted to sit in bar or dining room — we had a 5 year old with us. Kids meal menu has no prices on it(was 4.49 on the bill). Daughter got grapes added and when we got bill we were charged .99. Was told grapes were seedless but wife wound up scraping seeds.

Tried their Irish steak medalins in a Guiness gravy, and it was awesome. Wish it wasn’t a limited time item. We had great service, and the food was very tasty and reasonably priced,. A prevouis time, I was there, I tried their lobster roll, that also tasted good, but was really small for the price. But that was the only time I was ever a little disappointed going to this Ground Round location. Will definately stop back again.

Food is terrible; tastes like mushy, cold, gross, cafeteria food. My kids didn’t eat there food even. Our server came to our table once and that was to bring our food. She never returned. A nearby table actually flagged down the manager for us after they watched us sit for over a half of an hour waiting for our check. I have never experienced such poor service. The manager simply found our server and she brought the check and said; «I hear you requested this» and dropped it on the table. We will not return. I guess there is a reason I avoided it for the past 2 ½ years that it has been open. There are so many other great options in Rochester; this just won’t exist in our choices in the future.

Bob, Rochester, Mn Great food, great prices. Ate there two days in a row after finally trying the place. Don’t know why all those negative reviews. When a place is busy sometimes you have to wait.

Pretty much the only restaurant in walking distance from our hotel. Cool sports bar with plenty on tap and plenty of tv’s. Service was great, quick & efficient. Food came out super fast, I took 2 bites of my salad before the rest came out! Co worker had a taco salad and this did not look like your ordinary taco salad, he seemed satisfied. It looked really good. The grilled chicken platter was such a large portion. The chicken was grilled perfectly and was so moist. They have daily specials and so much on the menu to please everyone. It’s worth a visit.

We’ve been to Ground Round twice and were relatively pleased with our first experience. Here is the good part of my review: The food was pretty good on our first visit. We started with the Italian nachos, which were different than the normal nachos that you typically find at restaurants. They are served on what seemed to be wonton-like chips(really good) and had chicken, black olives, sour cream, and some other good stuff(sorry to be vague). We’d get them again. My chicken tenders were good enough, but the tater tots definitely tasted like they were fresh from the freezer. My meal also came with a salad. I honestly don’t remember what my husband got(oops), but he was pleased with it. It was a hot sandwich of some sort =) I’ll tell you this: We totally didn’t need the appetizer. They serve popcorn when you’re seated so that plus our large portions of food was waaaay too much. Our server, Brittany, was so friendly and nice. She asked us while we were ordering if we wanted our food to be delayed after we received our appetizer. No one has ever asked that and I think it is so awesome that she did. I find it to be so frustrating when your food comes out back to back. Defeats the purpose of an appetizer, lol. Also, when she brought out my food she commented that she had brought ranch instead of honey mustard since I had gotten it with my salad and she figured I’d prefer it with my chicken tenders. She was so friendly that I made a point to compliment her on her friendliness and great service and mention how thoughtful she was. The second time we went(this past Saturday) our food was good again. I got a bacon cheeseburger and fries, my husband also got a burger and fries. We skipped an appetizer and stuck with the popcorn. This is where my two stars come from: Okay, here’s the thing. If you can’t fake a decent attitude when serving paying customers then maybe you are in the wrong line of work. Our waiter clearly didn’t give two shits about providing friendly/good service. He half-ass welcomed us, didn’t smile a single time throughout our entire visit, and he only stopped by twice to check on us. I take that back. He smiled once when I said that I needed caffeine over the Bloody Mary bar that he had promoted. Also, I’m not sure if it is standard procedure for customers to have to get up and go ask for their popcorn bowl to be refilled or not, but I know that we had to and so did the table sitting behind us(also his table). It’snot like we are too good to do that, but OURWAITERHADDISAPPEARED. And it’s not like we were maniacal with the popcorn and devoured it right after sitting down. After bringing us our drinks, our waiter didn’t come back until he brought the food. He didn’t even swing by near enough for us to grab his attention. What he did do though was randomly glance at us from way across the room. I suppose if I had waved my arms at him that would have let him know that we needed something. The random picture of half a guy in a blue shirt(my husband) and an open doorway across the room shows where he «checked on us» from. Seriously? Okay, and it gets better. The manager on duty came over after he saw that we were done to clear our table. I asked him if he could recall the name of our waitress from the previous Saturday because she was so wonderful. I get that it was a week later. Did he offer to find out her name? Did he acknowledge the compliment of good service? Nope. He didn’t even smile. He wasn’t even friendly, just mumbled something about not being sure what her name was. What the hell? I get that it isn’t always fun working with the public, but come on! The least these people could do was fake a decent, friendly attitude. Is my review long? Yes! Am I still irritated by those two employees three days later? Yes! Honestly, I don’t know if I am even interested in going back on the off-chance that we are seated in our waiter’s section again.

I really wanted to like Ground Round. They have a huge menu and there were several items that appealed to me but, the execution just wasn’t there. The food was not good. The service also, while she tried, she just took forever. We went there within a few weeks of opening and maybe it is better now, but we were so disappointed we won’t be going back.
