My wife and I discovered this place not long after moving to Rochester in July 2013. We’ve been coming back once a month or month and a half since(we’ve been here about 8 times in a year). The food is terrific, the portions are generous, the service has always been excellent, and the prices are reasonable(if not actually a little lower than you might expect given the portion size). About half the time I get some monster steak burrito(I forget the exact name of the entrée — sorry!), which comes with rice, guacamole and sour cream, and about half the time I am able to actually finish the whole thing at the restaurant(it reheats well). My wife likes chimichangas(I think that’s what it is — it’s a fried burrito, basically) and has never been disappointed. The menu is a few pages thick with over 100 items available(I think it’s around 125 items, actually). The names of the entrees are in Spanish, but their descriptions are in English. So, being able to know what you’re ordering is not a problem. The décor is spot-on for a Mexican restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the lady at the hostess’ stand always greets you with a warm smile when you arrive and thanks you for coming as you depart.

I’ve been going to this restaurant for the last 15+ years(since it was located near the intersection of 2nd St. and Highway 52, prior to the highway re-build) and have always loved the food here. After spending 4 years in San Jose(California), I’ve acquired quite an addiction to Mexican food, and Fiesta is as good as most of the places I used to go back in San Jose. The lunch specials are also a good deal, although I don’t get many opportunities to eat here for lunch(I work downtown). Service is usually speedy(though I’ve only been here with parties of 4 or fewer), and the food is excellent. The salsa roja is also great(I love the touch of cilantro). Also, salsa verde and jalapenos are available by request for no charge. I’m only withholding one star because I have been to a few places that were better, but those weren’t anywhere near the Midwest. For all practical purposes, this is as good as it gets in Rochester(and very good by any standard).

Service has really gone down hill, waited to get a seat, then waited forever to have our order taken. We had 4 people in our group, they brought out the meals separately, with a couple minutes between each. And what was really wierd and frustrating, was 2 members of our group ordered Fajitas, they got their plate of lettuce, beans, rice, and toppings, then 5 minutes later got their hot plate of meat, then had to wait another 5 minutes to get their tortillas. This is not exceptible. The food was good, but service was terrible this time. It will be awhile, before we give them another chance.
