Classic Cuts

Kelly and a couple other ladies came onsite to do the hair and makeup for my wedding. They did a phenomenal job! Hair and makeup lasted all day long. I’m very pleased with how everything turned out!
Also– I come here to get my hair colored. Betsy is the best!!!

I strongly recommend April! April is the best! She the only stylist in Minnesota I let touch my Southern hair! I’ve been to all of the bigger salons in town but never really found anyone that just «got» hair-​until April! April is great for cut and color. She now cuts my husband’s hair. She is attentive to every single hair. We both love April!!!

I’ve been coming here for a little while now. Kellie has been the best and is very easy to work with. She will try to accommodate you with your busy schedule. Plus she seems to ‘get it’ for making your hair right.

Ashley Dolbec, a hairdresser at Classic Cuts, has tons of innovative talent! I have difficult baby fine hair and she gave me a cut and foil that I love. I gave her free reign to do what she thought was best. Within minutes she haf problem solved the best style for the shape of my head, my hairline, the direction my hair lays, the texture of my hair, all fitting my age and personality. I met someone recently who also had a new short haircut by Ashley and she looked terrific too. I highly recommend Ashley! I am so grateful that I found her!

Terrible service, the receptionist is rude and the numbers given out to «reach» the stylists didn’t even work

When in town visiting, I needed immediate repair to my hair extensions and was lucky enough to find Kelly at Classic Cuts. I’ve had hair extensions done in multiple big cities (most recently Hollywood) and her products and techniques are the best available.
She was very accommodating to my schedule and the salon was very lively and had a happy atmosphere. They carry a wide variety of superior products. It’s also very easy to find for someone from out of town which was very helpful.
I highly recommend Classic Cuts, I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve been going to Classic Cuts since when it was off of Elton Hills Drive. First of all, Rick, the owner, is one of the coolest and nicest people I’ve ever met. He knows what he’s doing with cutting hair/​barbering. I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad haircut from him in the many years I was going to him. He knows about style too unlike a lot of barbers. So if you’re a guy and want some style, he can even do it usually. If not, there’s a lot of other stylists there.
He built this new place himself and it is fantastic. VERY nice place. They have all the hair and waxing stuff, but also have a nail salon and I believe a massaging room or two (don’t count me on this though). Rick hired a bunch of stylists and nail people too.
Awhile ago Rick hooked me up with another stylist, Liz. Rick is good, but Liz is by far the best stylist/​hair cutter I’ve ever had. I swear to god she’s a miracle worker (for me at least). She knows what she’s doing and takes her time to make sure everything is perfect and what you wanted. It’s not going to be like at Great Clips where you’re in and out in 15 minutes.
I remember down at college in Iowa I had a nightmare haircut, and a week later I was in Rochester. She was one of the first people I called in Rochester the next day, got her to fix what the lady in Iowa did. She did such an amazing job on it, you couldn’t even tell anything happened to my hair. She could probably be doing stuff in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York, but she’s in Rochester.
In any case, I HIGHLY recommend this place. By far the best cuts I’ve ever had between Rick and Liz. The prices are set by the stylist I think, but I know Rick charges me $ 12 and Liz charges $ 15 or $ 20. Well worth it, probably the best salon in town (in my opinion).
