First snow of the season. Unprepared for the week to come. Dinner eaten. Dessert finished. We watched our breath rise in between games of amateurish attic ping pong. Let’s get pizza. Big Deal is open until four. It’s only seven thirty, I said. I guess that was the point. Give them business now so they can stay open until four. What? Then there was a chattering in what I loosely approximated as english. We smoked out of blackberry flavored rolling paper and I was left to figure out the validity of that seven thirty four am thing. Dope game hard. Rap game easy. Wait, that’s Freddie Gibbs. Who am I? Pizza. Anchovies on half cause that guaranteed me half a pizza. I never understood the hate for little fish. It’s salt on top of cheese on top of bread. And this is a bready pie. Shout traitor from my NYC homies but dude I love bread what do you want from me. We each ate a slice, maybe, and gave up. That was a dumb idea. Good pizza though. All right just one more. For the walk. Or for something. All right get up and move. You can’t be hungover and unshowered at work in the morning. Not again.

If I could give zero stars I would! My boyfriend and I have had their pizza before it’s not great but they’re open late so we ordered delivery. 30 boneless wings and two slices would be 40 minutes. That was fine I live less than a mile away. After 45 minutes our order was delivered. The boneless wings were burnt to a crisp and completely inedible. Believe me I tried and almost chipped a tooth. We called them of course and they did not sound surprised but they did tell us they now close in 15 minutes and would not make a new order. They said they would give us 10% off our next order. I explained that was ridiculous I paid for 30 boneless wings they said they would put us on the wall for 30 boneless wings. When I called next week to order they said there was no voucher for me and no record of my call and I never called. when I told them I can show them on my phone that I did multiple times they hung up on me. ABSOLUTELY do not give them your business. Sad excuse for a neighborhood pizza shop

The perfect spot for late night food. They have everything from pizza slices to deep fried Reese’s cups! Veggie wrap on the menu too. Definitely be back at this spot when I’m looking for a late night bite!

Terrible service, incredibly incompetent and rude employees. My last order took nearly an hour and a half to arrive, despite being told it would be there in half the time. The driver only had half the order with him when he finally showed up. He wanted me to pay for the order in full before he would go back to the shop to retrieve the other half. Not wanting to wait another hour and a half, I told him to forget the rest of the order, I’d just pay for the food at the door and call it a night. I was charged the price of the food, plus the entire $ 2.50 fee. I paid for the food and delivery in order to avoid a confrontation, and tipped the driver after learning the debacle wasn’t his fault. When I finally got to the food, it was lukewarm and unappetizing. I wound up eating something else for dinner. I’ve made orders in the past that never showed up. When I called to check on them, no one would answer the phone. It seems like the employees could really care less about their customers and reputation. I will never give them my business again.

2.5 stars. I just can’t give it 3. They have good prices, and good deals if you look at the menu. The pizza was ok. Not bad, but nowhere near great. The crust/dough was very flavorful and not too thin, but everything else about the pizza was so bland. Sauce was sparse and the cheese was thin, and they use the basic flat thin sliced pepperoni — not the the thick cut«cup-n-char» pepperoni. The wings were edible, but so incredibly boring that I re-fried them at home with more sauce and flavor. Some of the wings were a little soggy, couldn’t tell if it was from not being cooked all the way, or from sitting for a few minutes on the drive home. The garlic-parm wings looked and tasted like they drizzled olive oil over the wings then shook a limited amount of Parmesan cheese over them. I tasted no garlic. I really tasted nothing at all, but chicken. The mild Buffalo wings had some flavor, but they barely put any sauce on. I’d definitely buy a quick slice from here in the future.

This would be 3.5 if possible. This is my neighborhood pizza joint… i’d probably come here whether I liked it or not just because it’s so close. I’ve had mostly everything, some stuff is better than others but everything is good. I’m a huge fan of their cheesesteak and garlic knots. I advise picking up, I’ve had some real slow delivery service but it’s kind of lazy of me to get delivery from here anyways. Not a huge fan of any of the pizza in Rochester at all and I think theirs decent. Big Deal is a good option when you’re drunk and hungry or just feeling really lazy.

I’ve been ordering the Great White from this place on drunken Saturday nights for years and always enjoyed it. Yesterday I ordered one while sober and it was not nearly as good as I remembered. Super bland and there was barely any broccoli on it. What’s worse is that it was cold and took over an hour to get here. I ordered it at 3:40 p.m. because it was Friday and I knew they’d be getting busy. The guy who took my order told me it would be 40 minutes«because of the weather». It was barely snowing out and this is Rochester so I’m not sure why that was even an issue. I called after an hour and he told me the driver«left 10 or 15 minutes ago and you’re the first one on his route so he should be there any minute». He got here a full ten minutes after I called. I live .08/mile from Big Deal — I could have walked there and back in less time than it took there driver to get here. I considered telling him that I didn’t want it any more but I was starving by that point. The wings were mediocre at best and I had to do some serious doctoring to the pizza … and reheat it. Which you should not have to do to a pizza as soon as it is delivered. I’d give them one star but I support local business and want them to be successful. I hope they see this and step up their game. And they get a little bit of credit because their prices are pretty reasonable.

This is the worst staff of people ever assembled. They are rude, and decide their own hours and will decide to stop working whenever they feel like it. And most importantly the food is terrible. DONOTGIVETHESEPPLYOURBUSINESS!

I was at a bar watch the NFLs opening game when I got hungry and didn’t feel like eating wings. I walked a little bit and found this place right next to a Laundromat. I was really hungry so i got a slice of buffalo chicken pizza and a garbage plate. They were both spectacular. The pizza was a little bit oily but the flavor was fantastic. I actually like their garbage plate better than nick tahous. Their mac salad is delicious. And it did not have too much salt which is the problem i have had with other garbage plates. Overall a good experience and the Seahawks won yay!(I was born in Seattle by the way)

Didn’t like the pizza here at all. I went in at about 12 midnight and the pizza looked like it was sitting there all day. I got a slice of cheese and some garlic knots. The knots were decent. The slice was floppy and the cheese was not high quality. The sauce wasn’t that great either. You are better off going to acme next door but acme pizza is slightly above average at best. Pizza stop is my favorite so you know what I like. Some people may like this pizza but it’s not my type.

The restaurant isn’t the most state of the art. But everytime I go here, it’s simply for the fried oreo’s. They are amazing! I’ve had their buffalo chicken pizza also, which I have no complaints of but the real reason to go here is for the fried oreo’s. Delicious! I live in webster and I can’t find a place that compares with their fried oreo’s.

Lousy pizza, worse service. Apparently if you’re not dressed to their standard, they assume you’re some crackhead who wandered in off the street, and will treat you as such. Don’t bother with this place, Acme next door is way friendlier with great pizza.

I used to live on Meigs St. and ate at big deal once a week, getting the Pizza and Wing special every Friday. The pizza is above average, especially for the price. The wings are what kept us coming back though as the sauce they use is unique and awesome and getting them extra crispy is the way to go. The help is usually baked themselves but its a 3AM pizza joint so that’s to be expected. The indifference is a moot point when you’re getting take out from a place that is has about a dozen bars within walking distance. I will say, anytime we had an issue with order they were quick to rectify it. I’m not going to to tell you to plan a trip here, but if you’re on monroe ave and want a quick slice or some wings, you’ll do just fine here.

Is it a Big Deal? There are a slew of options for Pizza on Monroe Ave. There is a Domnios, a little Ceaser’s, a Pizza Hut, Big Deal, Acme and that is just off the top of my head. One of Big Deals major plus points is they are open till 4am Thursday-Saturday, but only delivery after 2am. A slice is about $ 3.50 but it is easily worth 2 slices any where else. The only down side to the slices is they usually have 2 kinds on at once at night. The pizza is New York style with a thinner crust, solid crust and decent cheese make their pies well rounded. They always have a bunch of coupons available making them affordable and they are my go to for pizza, especially late at night.

They have an OK garbage plate. Not great, but decent. It sufficiently hit the spot after a late night and a long garbage plate drought.

I’ve never had a pizza from Big Deal during the daylight hours and without being completely drunk. But I think it’s pretty good! Bless their hearts, they deliver(yes, deliver!) these things to belligerent idiots like me until 3am and no matter how long they take the pies are always mouth-scorchingly hot. They keep your address and phone number on file, so even when you don’t know where you are you can get pizza delivered!

I first discovered the Big Deal Pizzeria back when it was open til ~3−4am on the way home from the bar. At first it was a matter of convenience considering very few places are open past last call, but I’ve been back several times since. Why? This place serves really nice SLICES of pizza around $ 3(I forget how much exactly). It’s your standard affair of either pepperoni or cheese but these are massive wedges of pizza. These are not true NY-style, floppy slices but more like what you’ll see around here with doughy slices. The bottom is always crunchy and the sauce and pizza is well balanced; not too cheesy or saucy. What about their pies? For whatever reason, ordering a large plain cheese from these guys doesn’t have the same magic. The bottom isn’t crunchy and is kind of floppy. I think it’s something about making the slices before hand, then reheating them again in a very hot oven that produces a superior slice. So, we always get the slices instead of ordering a full pie and you should too.
