We had huge group of people for my friend’s birthday party there last night. They arranged the seat so that we can all sit together. The food was really good and the service was exceptionally fast. They were aware of my friend’s birthday. With that in mind, they were very considerate to offer us extra service. The menu wasn’t bombarded with long list of menus; short, concise, and to the point with authentic Chinese food. Nearly all of the dishes on the menu(we had about 15 of them) were very excellent. I highly recommend this place!!!

Absolutely horrible. I’m not picky about my Chinese food but this was disgusting. My egg roll was probably the only thing editable. Not I mention there was not one but two hairs in my food. $ 12.00 in the garbage.

Perfect Northern Chinese food, although there are limited items, each one is very tasty and quite authentic. The portion is large and very nice service. Keep it up!

Fantastic. I’ve been struggling to find good Chinese food since moving to Michigan. This place is great.

I am horribly disappointed! I stopped by my favorite, lunch-time Chinese restaurant to pick up some dinner. My feast tonight would be a chicken egg roll, their yummy plain fried rice, vegetable LoMein and, the crowning glory, Boneless spareribs! I know, I know, hardly authentic Chinese but just what I wanted! I could hardly wait for those porky, fatty strips of meat in that neon red sauce! What I got was quite different! For more than $ 6.00, I was given a small container with a dozen strips of meat that didn’t even account for a third of the container, the balance being composed of onion, celery, carrots and a Chinese Stock. It didn’t even look like spareribs meat but a lean pork loin! I will probably keep lunching here but I won’t order off the regular menu unless I’ve seen it first!

My new favorite place to get Chinese on lunch. Affordable lunch($ 6) and the best tasting Chinese I’ve had. Staff is very friendly and attentive. L

First off, let me say that the name of this restaurant is quite misleading. I know their intention is to attract the average American(since that’s where they get the most revenue), but they should actually be recognized for their authentic cuisine. The reviews here are quite mixed and there’s a reason for this. Their Thai and American Chinese dishes seem subpar but what everyone should instead do is order from their traditional Chinese menu. The owner is an ethnic Korean born and raised in China, so her dishes reflect that fact. No one in the restaurant is Thai so of course the Thai isn’t going to be too good. The typical American Chinese dishes aren’t too bad in my opinion. I’ve tried the beef and brocolli and kung pao chicken and they’re both pretty good. I do, however, highly recommend everyone orders from the traditional menu. That’s what they’re good at preparing. Trust me, I’m a Korean who has lived almost 2 decades in Southeast Asia and travelled multiple times to China and Hong Kong, so I know the cuisine from those areas really well. The Korean and Chinese dishes are excellent. This is evidenced by the heavy presence of Chinese customers, especially outside of the weekday lunch hour. Here are the most recommend dishes, especially the bottom 2(all from the traditional menu): –Ma po tofu(spicy chili and beans, good with plain rice) –Green beans –Korean-style Sweet and sour pork –Korean-style Spicy squid

I ordered chop suey but came with rice instead of sprouts. Will eat it but wanted sprouts. Not happy customer. Don’t have time to return it.

Second time they messed up my take out order. It says dinner come with rice and egg roll, not that they take half my portion out and give me egg roll and rice. Very frustrating. And they don’t give much meat with the dish, might as well have been vegetarian.

I’m obsessed with their Shrimp with Broccoli. I used to get it a couple of times a week because I had a class in the area, but now it’s like a rare treat. I’m really craving it right now, but I have to settle for leaving a review since they’re closed. Basically, the shrimp and broccoli are both cooked to perfection, the sauce is on point, the food is ready fast, and the customer service is usually great, too.

Great quality, taste and service. What I like most is that the vegetables are fresh and crisp. I’m always very satisfied. I love the egg rolls.

Honestly based on other reviews expected better. The almond chicken was not very good, the sauce was even worse. The egg rolls were below average. The rice was ok. Online ordering was nice, service was good, but can’t say I will be back.

This place is everything you want for Chinese takeout. The Orange Chicken is crunch with a delicious sauce that isn’t too heavy or too sweet, and dried chilis right in the sauce. They offer brown rice too! Very happy I found this gem.

Consistently amazing quality and taste! My family and I have been going to this place for months and we have never been disappointed. The variety of food usually means one or the other lacks behind, BUT that is not what Asian Express does. Specifically recommend the general tso chicken, mooshoo pork, and anything else on the menu really. Wonderful family business that has a respectable business mindset.

Got spicy squid combo last time I went. Its the special right now. It wasnt that great. And their seafood soup seemed like a bunch of imitation crab floating around in some flavorless broth. But most of the time the food is great. Their mei fun and lo mein is delicious.

I just ate really good Chinese food here. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken, mongolian beef, lo mein, and dumplings. All of the dishes were made well and tasted fresh. When I bit into the sweet and sour chicken, I saw how fresh and juicy the meet was. It was not oozing out grease… thank goodness! The sauce that came with it made it taste even better. I’m glad that it was on the side instead of all over the chicken. I got to choose how much sauce I wanted on the chicken. My mongolian beef was chewy and so delicious. It’s worth the extra money. The lo mein and the dumplings were great too! I don’t want to make this review too long. I can go on and on. Thanks, Asian Express!!! I will be coming back soon~ d^_^b

Pretty awful. I had the chicken and fried rice plate. Chicken was flat, mushy, and pale like it was pounded and boiled. It was swimming in a dark runny sauce. The fried rice was barely fried. It was lightly brown and seemed more like steamed rice. To top it off, the lady working the place was wearing one latex glove and doing everything with it on(handling money, cleaning tables, handing out utensils, and serving food). The lack of proper cleanliness is what really did it for me. Disappointing.
