Had a tasty lunch here the other day. The catfish lunch plate was excellent and the veggies were just right. My daughter loved the fried green tomatoes.

Stopped by mainly due to previous reviews, glad we did. We were out for a lunch on Saturday, I had a burger and my wife had the soup and the fried mushrooms. They had a good selection of beers. Food was great along with great service. Like the ambiance and the history. Well worth a stop for lunch or dinner.

We decided to try here on the 4th of July before we went to watch the Fireworks at Fitzgerald’s casino. It was a nice change from the so-so casino buffets in Tunica. This is a true southern place with great service. We got their early and they weren’t busy, but they started to fill up by the time we left. Since this place touts itself as being the creator of the Fried Pickle, I of course had to try them as an appetizer. They were really good but I noticed as I got down towards the bottom they were a tad bit too greasy. Then I ordered the fried catfish which came with hush puppies and french fries and coleslaw(which my husband ate and said was pretty good). The fried catfish was excellent, but not work the expensive price.

Good old southern food. This place is a good place to experience southern food. You do pay fairly high for southern food in this place. I wish they are more affordable as that makes this place much more desirable. As it stands, a food place to go if you’re in Tunica and do not want to spend money in not so wonderful buffets.

The food was excellent and our server was very nice. We had the shrimp and catfish platter, as well as an order of fried pickles. The atmosphere was nice and the restaurant was very cute.

This is a place that takes you back to the way restaurants in the Delta used to be. Tunica County is all grown up now with casinos and tourists but the Hollywood stays true to its original vision. It’s a relatively small one-room general store type of building serving mostly fried everything. Fried pickles may have finally caught on nationally and they are still here in their original form but fried frog legs show that its not a popularity contest and it is just the Mississippi Delta as it always has been.

I give this place for stars for character, history and Southern charm. Only stop by because I wanted to check it out, I didn’t eat a meal here. But I grab some peach color which I would give two stars. I didn’t love it. It just wasn’t exactly what I was looking for in a cobbler. I really wish I had gotten fried pickles!

Great service extremely friendly staff. Great menu selection. We visited on a Friday lunch time so were able to order from lunch menu. Most lunch items are $ 8.95 or less and are large portions. Our group ordered the daily special(country fried steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, turnip greens or green beans and cornbread, also grilled catfish platter with French fries, fried okra and hush puppies Sweet tea was great. A our food was very good, tasteful. Hot & fresh Definitely would return when in the area

Taking Old Highway 61 from casinos at Tunica I came across by this little café that is said to be popular with«locals, celebrities, sports stars, and tourists alike»(from ). It is indeed quaint inside and I would expect this spot to have an endearing ambiance at night — however I only had the opportunity to come by for lunch. I had the catfish and fries with an additional side of fried pickles and a sweet tea. It was a lot of fried food but it was all tasty and what I would expect from a spot like this. I would say that is more of a spot for an experience and a drink. If you eat Southern food in the South — is it just food? It seems to be a local’s spot that attracts both tourists on the blues trail and the local business folk out for a southern power lunch. I would probably be a regular if I lived in the area — it is not intimidating and the tasty fried food that would pair well with their selection of drinks. Take in the Southern hospitality and be sure to mark where you came from on the world map that they have on their wall there.

Had a late afternoon lunch here. It’s in a old building with peeling/faded paint. Just a small sign in front. You’d think it was abandoned if you weren’t looking closely. My catfish hoagie with fries and a side of fried green tomatoes were great. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Greatly enjoyed the experience and won’t hesitate to return and encourage others to visit.

An interesting place located off Old Highway 61 near the casinos, recently added to the Mississippi Blues Trail. It has nice atmosphere with live music on the weekend. The food is, however, mediocre, and the service, while friendly, is spotty. Famous for ‘inventing’ the fried dill pickle, but the original owners are long gone. Go, just don’t expect to be overwhelmed.

They need to change their web page! We drove over from one of the casinos for lunch today, Monday, and they were closed! The web page shows them open daily Monday through Friday for lunch. Major disappointment. Not very good advertising. Three other cars came and went at about the same time, all with out of state plates. Won’t accept a post without picking a star, otherwise I would not even give them one on this trip!

Took BF for his B-Day after seeing this ?? online bragging about their fried pickles. Since I love fried pickles & he enjoys fried green tomatoes, we dropped by; Lawd hammercy on them pickles, so good! I even ate some of his tomatoes, which I’m not typically a fan of. This is all we ordered– Will go back for sure, to try other items. Very old, charming, eclectic atmosphere. One staff waited on us & about 5 others on 9÷27÷13 @ 5:30pm. There was no wait at this time but, ppl were starting to come in as we left so if you go later, you’ll be waiting for a seat probably.

First time I have been here in at least 20 years. Fried dill pickles was tasty but a little greasy. Burgers were very good — nice char on the meat. Onion rings were fresh and crunchy but surprisingly spicy. I was glad to see they had a decent wine list. Blues music in the background was nice. We were one of only three tables at lunch — we will be back.

Excellent catfish, homemade fries, hush puppies, and cole slaw. Price is a little high($ 16.95)but they do give you a lot of food. Hubby had a steak sandwich($ 13.95) with a nice salad, that also was very good. Lots of rustic charm. They claim to have started the fried pickles phenomenon. Reservations recommended on weekends or their may be a wait. Band often on weekend I think. Full bar.

The food was soooooo good! Best hush puppies and slaw our group has had in a long time! Even my kids(5&10) loved their food. We didn’t even try the famous fried pickles, merely because we didn’t think about them. The catfish was fried wonderfully, and I’m a snob about that. Would go back over and over. We did the whole tourist thing… Walked in taking pictures and all that. The staff didn’t even bat an eye about it. They were awesome!

I wasn’t that impressed myself. Food was not up to par, and the staff was unpleasant. don’t waste your time. spend your hard earned money else were. And I agree the fried pickles is the only thing worth having.

The place itself is cool has a very bluesy feel to it. The triple cheese burger I would say was so so. I was not blown away by the food at all. The burger did not have much taste to it and the fries were not crunchy at all. The service was great and the place really has a great atmosphere. In all if you have to choose between casino food and the Hollywood… choose the Hollywood it is better than most of the buffets in the area.
