Southern Variety & Collectibles

Southern Variety is a great little store. We bought my wife’s new mandolin on layaway and they never canceled it even when we once forgot to go pay for slightly over a month. They even took an old guitar in partial trade for it. We took my wife’s two aunts there and they each found things they had been looking for but hadn’t been able to find. And that’s all just in the used item section of the store.
They also have a downright excellent selection of firearms and ammunition. Their firearms are much lower than you’d expect from a store located out like this and they are always willing to work with you to find that magazine or forend or scope you’re looking for if it’s not in stock. As of this writing (July 2013), their ammo prices are high, but who’s aren’t right now? Before the massive ammo shortage, their prices were pretty average even if their stockage was low.
Everyone is very, very friendly. They will talk to you for hours if you let them. You may not believe it, but you’ll want to stay and talk.
