You must try the chocolate croissants. You must try the Spinach, Artichoke and Cheese Croissant!
I love coming to this little local grocery store. It has a deli in the back to grab sandwiches, fried chicken, chicken fingers, different salads, and other delicacies. There is a good selection of microbrews and wines. Excellent selection of organic food and natural food. I come here all time time.

since being named #20 on the 2011 wine spectator’s list, the 2008 mondavi oakville cabernet has been impossible to find… until i blundered into tinnell’s. they had 4 bottles of this treasured wine in their locked chill. i bought 2, leaving 2 for some other lucky person.
this small shop remains one of my favorite finds whenever i visit roanoke with this being a perfect example of why.

I stop in sometimes after work if I am looking for a specialty item or fresh produce and just don’t feel like braving the larger supermarkets. Meat department is good for freshly cut steaks. They are well known for their ham rolls and pimento cheese. Reasonable selection of regular grocery stock — you may not find your favorite brands there but if you are willing to substitute and pay a little extra for the convenience of shopping at a small store you will be satisfied.
