Love this place! Owner was behind the counter and was very friendly and my breakfast couldn’t have been any better! I’ll be going back next time I’m in downtown Roanoke!

Always an excellent choice for breakfast. Ingredients make a huge difference and this place knows how to use them. If you’re looking for a place that can make breakfast better than you can come here. If you’re looking for a place that can fix breakfast better than most any other place in the roanoke valley, come to Scrambled.

Please invest in a sign showing which of the 3 doors to enter. Once inside we notice two of them swing inward and into tables. Hope there is never a fire. Please teach your dishwasher their job. Dried egg on the fork is not appetizing. Mediocre at its finest. Waffle House meets Starbucks. Apologies to Starbucks I reference them only for a price point. Do your«homefries» come from Sam’s Club? Upside… service was good. Server was efficient, friendly and prompt. Coffee was very good. As I left I thought OK I had a sandwich. I did not think wow I will be back for more.

I was in town working for two days, so I wanted to try some of local food spots and not the food chains. I arrived around 9:00 am and it wasn’t full, so that’s a good thing. I had the starcity scramble. It was good, but they only give you two little small strips of bacon.

Our first time there. Service was excellent. Place was busy but they were fully staffed and kept pace with the crowd. Good was great and fairly priced. I love the fact that they offer a dark roast coffee and a regular. I will be back the next time I’m in town.

Loved this place! Owners are awesome. Everyone was so attentive and friendly. The owners jumped in wherever needed. They were visible and bustling around checking customer and employee needs! Food was awesome! Highly recommend!

High expectations from all the hype and talk. Let down from he lukewarm omlet that was described as a veggie omelet that was severely lacking on the veggie front. Frozen pepper and onions do not count as veggies. Service was also lacking and will not be heading back.

Excellent food! Stumbled on this walking around downtown and so glad we did. Delicious and filling food, the eggs, the french toast, all of it! Sent all our in town family there the next day, would definitely come back if we are ever in town again. Staff so friendly, great place!

I could eat breakfast foods 3 meals a day so I was excited to see this restaurant open. My first experience was a take out egg sandwich; $ 9.00+, 1 mediocre sandwich! Ouch! I thought I’d try again, maybe I’d jumped to conclusions. My husband and I dined. Nope, small portions, little flavor high price, disappointment. Won’t be going back.

Ok in a pinch however potatoes tasted like frozen & bagged. Toast and food cold when we got it. We probably won’t be back.

Excellent service, delicious food. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Fresh biscuits, and their scrambles are wonderful. I love when I can choose to get bacon in my eggs along with bacon beside them. We plan on making it a regular spot when we visit downtown and the farmers market.

I’m glad that there are places like this in downtown. It’s not that my food was bad, but the whole experience was just ok. I got two eggs, bacon, homefries, and a biscuit. The bacon was really good. Otherwise, the rest was stuff I could have made at home fairly easily. When I go out, I typically hope to pay for something I can’t do at home. This would probably be two stars without the bacon and the good service.

The best I can muster is that this restaurant is fine. The food is serviceable, the wait staff attentive, the dining area clean. Since moving to southwestern Virginia I have been looking for good breakfast spots, a dining niche that is well represented in the northeast where I’m from. Scrambled is unfortunately not the destination I desired. I had biscuits and gravy and my dining companion the egg sandwich with potatoes. Both tasted ok, but had serious shortcomings. The«sausage» gravy had almost no sausage and the biscuit wasn’t as good as the better sort of fast food biscuits. The egg sandwich was rather small, the bread advertised as «Texas toast» seemed an awful lot like generic white bread, and the egg, which was supposed to be over easy, had been so overcooked the yolk was entirely set. The portion of the potatoes for the price was rather meager. I wouldn’t go again as Bojangles or McDonald’s is a tastier option for probably a quarter of the price.

Meh. Newly open on Sunday’s. Ordered sausage gravy and biscuits at 12 noon– hours advertise open til 3pm– and they had run out of both. Toast unbuttered and eggs were just ok.

Cute new breakfast spot in downtown. Had the egg, pancake, and bacon breakfast. It was delicious and he home fries were plain, but very tasty! Service was excellent and I never once asked for coffee refills — they just came. I will definitely be back!

Food was good, service was good, but the overall experience really didn’t blow either of us away. I think it was a little pricey for what we got, but there really isn’t much to compare it to outside of big chain breakfast restaurants around here. I’d go back, but unfortunately this isn’t a restaurant that I’d go back to often unless something changed. Never the less, I commend these guys for doing something unique and interesting on the market! Everything new in Roanoke always seems to piggy back on what everyone else around here does for the most part… This concept is a bit more refreshing!

I can not believe I spent $ 14.19 for my meal. I was driving downtown and decided to go to the market square. Unfortunately the only thing that was open was Scrambled. I will never return to this establishment and make sure others know not to as well.

Was so excited for an honest to goodness, non-chain, breakfast place to open. The excitement died today when I finally made it in. The best part of my meal were the over easy eggs, which were cooked perfectly. The apple cider bacon had no apple cider taste, at all. In fact, it was pretty much generic cheap bacon. The vanilla French toast was plain white bread French toast, no vanilla flavor, nothing special, could make better at home French toast. Portions were extremely small, and for $ 9.50 for 2 eggs, 2 pieces of bacon and 1 small piece of French toast, I expected my mouth to dance. The service was great, the staff was super friendly. I’m hoping they get their act together and beef up the food.
