While I have heard good things about Hartman, I must say my experience was terrible. First I ask for a certain feature on the new tv I purchased, was told it had it and when I got it installed it did not; they did make it somewhat right by giving me a bluray player that allowed me to do the feature. They also talked me into doing Direct TV instead of cable — big mistake on my part by listening! Can’t even get Hartman to return calls about issues; left many messages to call me never can get anyone to return the call. Salesman, now that he made the sale, treats me like second class. Will not return there for future purchases nor will I recommend it to others.

I would not normally review an electronics store but, this is a rare case. I am a photographer and finding true professional gear in the Roanoke Valley is about impossible now that some of the older privately owned camera stores have been bought out. Luckily Lee Hartman saw a market and grabbed it.
The selection may not be huge but they try to keep in stock what a photographer would need in the way of lenses and camera bodies.
Sure, you can buy online and get a wider selection or maybe cheaper. But I love being able to try out what I buy, I also support my local stores. If I try it there, I buy it there. The price is usually right in line with the street price if you consider the shipping.
