What a shame! Frank’s Pizza is our go-to lunch and early dinner destination. Never again. We called to see if a delivery option was available to our address. A very nice lady answered the phone and checked whatever database they use to determine a delivery area, and we were so happy to hear that we were, in fact, within that zone! She said, «You’re only 8 minutes away. You’re good!» We thanked her and promised to call back for a suppertime pizza delivery. Oh … not just«A» pizza … we are having family over for an early Holiday get-together and were planning on ordering at least 8 pizzas, and probably a cheesesteak or two. We were told that they did NOT, in fact, deliver to Southeast. Okay. Please check your database. No. We do not deliver to Southeast. Okay. Check your database … because we are one exit from 581 and 4.7 miles distance according to Google Maps. And No. We do not eat Frank’s Pizza any more. But we still lose because we are waiting for Pizza Hut to deliver. What a shame!

Our favorite pizza place. We normally get the two large pizzas deal. My dad, my boyfriend and I can stuff ourselves and still have a whole pizza and usually a few slices left over to take home. So even though with the extra toppings, it can be a little pricey, but we end up having enough pizza to eat most of the next day. We have put Franks in a category of its own when it comes to pizza because there’s no comparison to any national pizza chains. We still enjoy our cheap $ 5 pizzas at other chains from time to time, but when we have the extra money, we go to Franks

Came here for lunch. Got 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and a soda which came to less than $ 6! Very good deal. Pizza was very tasty and service was excellent. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll give this place another visit.

Pains me to see Franks Hunting Hills struggling as its always been very good. Since some of the staff left it seems service is now lacking. Recently one waitress trying to wait the entire restaurant while who I think is the owner(always in there in evening s) sit by on his phone. Im sorry, but if your restaurant is struggling, get up and greet people, help clean off tables, refills, etc. We waited at a dirty table as did some other guests. Sodas refilled wrong, food was good but slow and a little sloppy. Take the time to sauté mushrooms before putting in a calzone, otherwise they just steam. Also noticed the sandwiches looked thrown together without much care. Get it together Franks.

Fast, friendly service. Highly recommend the special on Sicilian crust. Great pizza. Had the tiramisu and canoli for desert as well. Both tasted great. Don’t understand why the bad reviews on here. Came here for dinner on a Monday.

I went ro this place a few years ago and it was good but this vist was very different. the strip center that once held Walmart is almost empty, even though Kohls has moved in as the Ancor. We ordered the«Special» and was greated with Processed presliced meatballs and Sasauge as well as low quality cheese and other ingredients ruin the good crust! The place is spotlessly clean though and the service is friendly.

This place has taken a NOSEDIVE, and is not worthy of selling the product known lovingly as ‘The Philadelphia Cheesesteak’. Here’s the skinny: the cook, as well as probably ALL of the knowledgeable kitchen staff, have apparently left here to go work at Frank’s new spot in Salem. Guessing they see that as their money pit, being close to the college campus, who knows. But in their wake, they have left unqualified staff at the helm, to serve up half-ass renditions of what used to be DECENT representations of a genre that should remain north of the Mason-Dixon line. I ate here the other night, and the food was JUST… PLAIN…TERRIBLE. Cheesesteaks with not enough meat in one, too much in another. Beef that was simply dry, overcooked, and not seasoned at all(how about a little SALT???). Second, and for the record, Frank-O — NOBODYPUTSLETTUCEANDTOMATOON A CHEESESTEAK. I grew up in Philly, have eaten at all the famous and less famous spots, and it’s just not done that way. This is not a hoagie. But continue to make it up as you go, since the uneducated consumers of these sandwiches here don’t know any better. I look in my crystal ball, and see this place having to shut down within 6 months of things continue as they are going. I know the pizza used to be good, but I’m afraid to order it now. Starting to think everything else on the menu(fries, other appetizers, pastas, etc.) are all simply frozen products that get baked or fried, rather than homemade products made fresh. Maybe that’s good enough for some people, but it’s not good enough for me or my family, and I bet it’s not good enough for the people of SW Roanoke either. This place used to be bustling, now it’s a ghost town. And you know what — there is GOODREASONWHY. Back to the drawing board: time to find a new spot for this type of «Italian» fare. Thanks for the memories, Frank(the older, better memories that is).

I was in the mood for some pizza, so I hit up the Unilocal app on my phone and searched. I happened to be nearby Franks and the other reviews weren’t bad, so I popped in. Nice clean restaurant, friendly staff, and reasonable prices. I got 2 slices of cheese and pepperoni and it cost me 5 and change after taxes. Being a native New Yorker, I take my pizza seriously! LOL! Franks Pizza is up to par. Large slices, oozy cheese, tasty peppperoni and a crisp crust. Well done Franks! The girl working the counter was very nice and it took just a few minutes for my pizza to come out. Definately worthy!
