Fantastic Sams

I just left here with the best color, cut & style ever! Melanie colored my roots matching my hair color exactly. In fact, it looks like I have very natural high lights. Color for only $ 40.00! What a deal. Then Melanie cut my hair in layers & evened up the last botched trim I had in Keller with a groupon. Who needs groupon, coupons, or anything when you can just come here. Whatever she put in my hair made it so smooth & silky. No frizz in sight. After styling with a curling iron she turned the chair around so that I could see. (usually an anxious moment I dread when it’s not what I like) But with Melanie, I almost burst into tears, Happy tears. I love it. So does my husband who never notices. Hope Melanie doesn’t leave before I go back & give her my number. She’s the best!

I have to share a fantastic beauty secret right here our quaint lil Junction of Roanoke/​Keller. Now usually franchise business like fantastic sams/​pro cuts/​and great clips tailor mainly to men and children and care only about volume not quality or customer satisfaction. It’s a numbers game. However, fantastic Sams in Roanoke goes above and beyond giving you the personal touch of a high end salon at an affordable price. These ladies have seemed to established a team of hairdressers that love doing hair and enjoy trying to please rheir customers. They seem to know their strengths and weaknesses and have no jealousy issues when it comes to pleasing their clients. They seem to care about and respect one another. Great for the work environment and for the customers. Their goal appears to be who ever can get the job done right and on the customers schedule is who should do the job. I was in a hurry the other night trapped on this end of town in the rush hour traffic and needed and wanted my hair done to go out to dinner. I was very sceptical and prepared for the worst but clean hair twisted up after you pay for a bad service is better than dirty hair all over the place. To my surprise not only did they graciously fit me in but they let the person they felt would do the best job take care of me. Wow!!! She blew it ot if the water!!! Dry root to tip! Bouncy and Beautiful! I received so many compliments and couldn’t have been more pleased! I returned Monday morning same experience different girl who took her time with me was patient and kind and she too did a great job! Thank you Fantastic Sams Roanoke! You ladies rock!!! After reading the glowing Unilocal reviews and needing an impromptu haircut I decided to give them a go on a busy Saturday. Every girl at some point in her life needs a haircut disaster so horrible that you get in the car and break down in tears, then contemplate shaving your head like Brittney Spears. If you haven’t had that experience yet, this place is for you! I’ve probably had 50 haircuts in my life, some awesome (and $$$) and some not so, but this is bar-​none the worst haircut I’ve ever had. I don’t have my stylist’s name, but come to find out she’d worked there 3 weeks. Before the scissors ever left the counter we talked 2 inches off, long layers, subtle curve on the back and side swept bangs. I ended up with 6 inches (she said she needed to get the back straight). 6 INCHES OFF MY LONG HAIR WHICH IS NOW SHORT!, short layers around the crown of my head, no side swept bangs just a hack job on one side which is 2 inches shorter than the other, a semi-​straight line across the back if you don’t count the little pieces on the underside that irregularly stick out ½″ underneath in a couple of places. The lovely young lady with beautiful hair 2 chairs down got exactly the cut I wanted and still has most of her hair, so apparently it depends on who you get. Do not hesitate to ask how long they have been cutting hair and opt for someone experienced! I’ve seriously had a better haircut at a men’s barbershop before! I almost refused to pay, but I was in catatonic shock when I left and the stylist got defensive when I told her I was less than thrilled with it and tried to sell me a styling product to add to my $ 31 bill. Additionally, when she blow-​dried my hair she dried the ends but not the crown! Anywhere you go has to be a better choice than this.

Amanda has been so amazing when it comes to a hair crisis and I had no one to turn to. She is helping me get my hair happy and healthy again after an ombré gone wrong elsewhere. I’m so grateful to be able to go to someone honest and knowledgeable who will tell you up front what to expect. I will recommend her to anyone!

Amber has been coloring and cutting my hair for years and I always love it! Everyone in the salon is very friendly!

Nice place, only $ 16 for a men’s haircut. Walked in and walked out in less than 20 minutes with a great cut and a shampoo.

Misty cuts my hair and I love the job she does every time. I have short hair and am very picky how it’s cut. She uses the razor, which a lot of people won’t use, and she knows exactly what she’s doing and does a great job. Price is awesome for the kind of cut I ask for. Love them!

My stylist Jessica does a great job with me and my 3 year old son’s hair. I try to set an appointment with her all the time.

I found a $ 3 off coupon on their website and decided to give this Fantastic Sam’s a shot. I was not disappointed. Kristy first asked all of the right questions about how I wanted my hair cut and then followed through very nicely. We had a great conversation as she took her time, showed her skill and gave me one of the best cuts I’ve had in a long time. Thanks!
