Genuinely the worst manicure experience I have ever encountered. Everything(and I do mean everything) was covered in a thick, white powder — chairs, tables, equipment, all of it. Not a single thing was cleansed before it touched my skin and a dirty, filmy file was shared amongst employees. The tiny scissors were so encrusted with other people’s skin that the guy had to go get a second pair because the crusty pair wouldn’t open. Well, the second guy. My manicure was started by one person and then finished by another who spent the entire time telling me I had a bad haircut and next time I should see him for my haircut(never mind it was a beautiful cut by Nick Arrojo and I don’t live in Roanoke… and I had told him the latter). I had asked for a French manicure with the most natural shade of white available as I was going to be in a wedding the next day and just wanted something subtle. My nails are naturally round, so I asked them to be cut that way. The man who started my manicure(not the haircut obsessed guy who finished it) refused because he liked square better. I specifically requested regular polish, not gel, but was charged for a gel manicure and they still scuffed the hell out of my nails with a file. My nails ended up bright ass purple and the whites looked like they had been painted with a crusty White Out brush — chunky, streaky, uneven, and alarmingly white. I had to go to another salon to have it removed because none of the polish removers in the drugstore would even come close to removing that crap. STAYAWAY! I am so endlessly thankful that I didn’t walk out of there with a nasty infection. How they haven’t been shut down for being so dirty is beyond me.
