My wife and walked into Carolina BBQ, and turned around and walked out. It was dirty, dank, food on floor and tables, and smelled awful. No one acknowledged us, nor offered assistance. I think the Health Dept needs to visit more often.

On are way up to Jersey, stop there everyone, saying very good. Those people must not know what good b.b.q is. Buffet was run down, staff unfriendly. Asked if they where going to fill buffet, cook who was sitting down eating said no, he already put out to much food. At least 10 trays empty. So Pass It Up!!!

Pretty gross. Super unclean. Flies all over the place. There was once a fountain but now covered in dead plants and trash. Pretty gross. Food was okay but once we saw the flies we pretty much stopped eating and left. Only gave it two stars because our waitress was very friendly.

If you want good, local-​style eastern North Carolina BBQ, fried chicken and a great variety comfort food sides and dessert, this is a good place to eat. Good service. If you just want yankee food or are concerned about arterial health, offerings are limited but not impossible to find.

Good Eastern North Carolina Que and Fried Chick to order or you may decide on the hot buffet with lots of fixins, vegetables, dessert and such to choose from prepared and cooked onsite.

Terrible option. We stopped on our way back to CT and the only good thing was the staff. Everyone was friendly. The buffet was typical southern food but it just looked disgusting. The best thing I had was a roll without the fluffy buttery spread that tasted like margarine that was open in a fridge for weeks. I joked a few times that it resembled the Vegas buffet from national lampoons Vegas vacation.
Mom tip– The changing station was broken so don’t plan on bringing a baby in the restroom & the men’s room doesn’t have one either.
