I absolutely love what the new owners did to the place! The atmosphere is amazing. It is frendly and inviting. The service was amazing, the staff was so kind and friendly, and really helpful with any questions I had regarding the minute. But the mane reason that you should go is the food! It is amazing!!! What a nice surprise! My daughter and I stopped for lunch after some holiday shopping, expecting the standard sandwiches and desserts. But the menu was extensive and creative, ranging from unusual sandwiches to substantial dinner offerings. Prices also ranged widely. We split wonderful stuffed mushrooms, a very tasty burger, and perfect asparagus. The food is local and prepared fresh. Service was cheerful and the ambiance was nice. I would not call this a «diner” – I would call it a great little restaurant in a rustic setting. We hear that this place has only been open a few months – I hope that it will succeed.
Went back the next week with the family for dinner. Still a winner! Our group had trout, chicken, pork chops. The highlight was the appetizer of fried green beans – light, crunchy, and very tasty. One serving was ample for five. The dinners were perfectly portioned for one. (Used to oversized portions, my husband and I split a meal. It was a little skimpy for two.) as my daughter observed, «those huge chicken breasts you get other places must be from genetically engineered chickens on growth hormone.» These were normal sized and very tasty. Prices were quite reasonable.
