Wild Coney has the freshest food out of all the Coney Island in Riverview! We always have great food and good service. My usual is a Greek Chicken Pita, the Pita bread is always fresh. They also have a Fish and Chips and you get huge portions! My family and I eat out a lot and this place is pretty good for the downriver area.

Long story short, the food isn’t bad most of the time, and they give relatively generous portions, but good lord, the service is ATROCIOUS. Management seems to be stuck in this endless cycle of «welp, we don’t have enough people here — let’s only keep one or two waitresses on staff today!»…but then the awful service ensures that they continue to remain patron-free, so then they make sure they keep as few waitresses there as possible, then the service suffers more, ad infinitum. I don’t think I’ve ever gone in and seen more than 7 – 8 tables taken at any time(and the place is HUGE, so I can’t see how that can bode well for their business), yet good luck getting a refill, or napkins, or any other basic service in a timely manner. And your food, although typically decent, will take forever to arrive. It’s better than some others in the immediate-to-general area, but that still doesn’t mean it’s worth going unless you absolutely have to eat something RIGHTTHATSECOND and can’t find something better.

This coney is in the old Denny’s building. The inside has been upgraded a bit, but it’s still your basic coney. Nothing fancy, but no one goes to a coney for a gourmet night out, right? I’ve only had breakfast, and it’s been hit or miss. One time it was great, the next time my eggs and pancake were both undercooked. My husband had lunch the last time we went ad about halfway through his meal he said he should’ve stuck with breakfast, too.
