PDQ – Riverview

I always love this place. Last time I ordered a three piece basket, they gave me four tiny burnt ones. I asked for a new basket and they overcompensated with 6 full pieces! Very generous, and even beyond the right thing to do. Much appreciated PDQ!

PDQ — «People Dedicated to Quality»?? or «Pretty Damn Quick»?? Whichever way you call it, PDQ delivered it BOTH ways!
I was torn between their specialty, the «Fried Chicken Salad», as well as being distracted by the «Fried Chicken Strips», and the fried «Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich», which features real turkey and cranberry. Decisions, decisions… I chose the chicken strips, and was not disappointed. They were delicious & crispy, lean boneless & tender breast meat. The breading they use is tasty and not greasy; I liked that my fingers didn’t get full of grease. They came with shoestring French fries, and I had a Coke to wash it all down.
I did like how their drive-​thru works. One person is outside, on the ground, with a headset & ipad, taking the orders & relaying them to the inside people. The first window handles the money transaction, the second hands you your receipt, & the third, your food. It goes smoothly & quickly. Pretty Damn Quick!

butter and chocolate shake.
This was the best shake I have
ever had. I liked the size of the
straw because there is room
for the pieces of the peanut
butter cups that are diced and
slide up through the straw
and into my mouth with a burst
of flavor that is so good.

Without a doubt the best fast food we’ve ever had. the staff is friendly and bend over backwards to make sure your dining experience it’s something you remember. We’ve been to the one in Brandon and Riverview and are truly glad we found this place. We will definitely return.

Always fast service and the food is fresh. I always enjoy my lunch here and it fits my lifestyle since I can eat healthy. I ordered the crispy chicken salad, substituting it with grilled chicken. Their ranch dressing goes with it and tastes amazing. I can choose to flavor my soda (though I don’t drink it, it’s a good option to have for my children) if I choose to, and I can also chose water which is my favorite option. The only downside to pdq is that my daughter says the chicken sandwiches are spicy-​ish so she orders chicken fingers which aren’t instead. Overall, they’re fast, clean, and great for a fast food restaurant.

The specialty of the house is definitely chicken nuggets. Never ever get the turkey sandwiches! Had a crispy turkey sandwich here recently. Absolutely the worst sandwich I’ve ever had. It was literally about as thick as a pancake and it was breaded. Turkey had to be about ¹⁄₈ of an inch thick. It tasted like it had been frozen and just nuked before serving. My wife had a grilled turkey and it was the same in appearance and preparation. My sandwich also had some sort of a peppered spice in the breading, which only made it worse than it had to be. I may come back again, but I’ll never ever ever have another turkey sandwich here.

I came in tonight and it was very busy but the manager had it running so smooth with a smile on his face. I noticed after the rush he went and patted the employees on the back. A little appreciation goes a long way. The food was excellent and the customer service is always amazing. I was here last week also and left my wallet and the sweet girl Elma that was wiping down tables came running out to give it to me. I can’t say enough about this place I’m a forever customer.

The last time I was at PDQ, my moms chicken sandwich was undercooked. She just pointed it out to them, not mad, but the manager compensated her for it and gave her a free meal coupon.
I didn’t post a review because I felt it was handled appropriately.
Let’s fast forward to today.
I’ve been out of work due to a family emergency so I’m back for the first time in about a week, slammed, can’t really leave for lunch, kind of day.
My colleague says she’s going to PDQ for lunch and asked if I wanted something. Of course! I love the grilled chicken tenders. Anyways so I tell her what I want and she brings back my food. I’m happily grubbing away as I’m working and as I bite into the last tender, I notice that my last tender is undercooked… AFTER I chewed and swallowed the bite I just took. Are you for real? AGAIN?!
I’m not going to bash PDQ itself, but I am going to say that this location really needs to be careful and start paying attention — ensure your food is thoroughly cooked, please!
I don’t think I’ll be going back to this location. Two undercooked incidents in a one month span is too much for me.

We were driving back home from Tennessee and we needed to stop for dinner. It was the last leg of the trip and I really just wanted to go home. We were looking for a Panera and couldn’t seem to find it. We then saw PDQ and it was on my side of the road (I’m all about convenience). I’ve seen PDQ’s before and never even tried it.
We decided to stop in and I can’t believe it took me so long! For a fast-​food chain, everything seemed fresh and flavorful. My friend that I was with was impressed as well.
I had the buffalo chicken sandwich with fries and it was delicious! Fast service, friendly workers and a beautiful and spacious dining area!
I will be visiting my neighborhood PDQ when I’m craving some fresh chicken tenders! Thanks, PDQ!

It’s a
Great place for a quick blue or for a family meal. I have never had a bad meal here. Chicken tenders, nuggets or salads are great and filling meals.

When it comes to fast food this place seems to have service and speed down. The store gets busy but the staff handles it well.
I am yet to be disappointed by the food. The menu is a bit limited but that’s not a bad thing. Nowadays a lot of fast food places serve everything and aren’t really good at any of it. PDQ takes the approach of doing a little less but doing it a lot better.
I absolutely love the drive thru. It is face to face ordering. Makes things so ouch better.
And they are open on Sunday’s, unlike another certain chicken place.
Now for the negative:
This one goes out to all fast food places. You knowing my name or calling it over the loud speaker doesn’t mean you are providing me with better service. I find it unnecessary and annoying. Call me order 123 I don’t care. My food doesn’t taste better if you call my name. The only place he waiters ask for my name and I care are a cruise ship dining room and Michelin star places. Fast food: that’s not you!

Stopped by for lunch after bottling a bunch of wine. I decided to try the Crispy turkey with fires. The food came out fast and HOT!!! The place was packed and I was surprised how fast the food was coming out. The lemonade is a bit sour but good.

Decent chicken sandwich and really good fries. Coke Freestyle machines are pretty neat too. And although it’s a chore to get in and out of the plaza where this PDQ is located, the parking lot is decently set up, so that’s not too bad.
Pretty fast service, and I’m sure this place is busy on Sundays. But outside they use those spray misters, so make sure you have your Legionnaire’s vaccine before an extended sit.

I love love PDQ!
We went on a busy afternoon when my dad was in town. The place was hopping but we only waited in lime about 5 mins. I ordered a chicken cesar salad. I have tried so many other items that are all great but not a salad. My salad came out in less then 10 min. When it came out it looked divine and it was! The chicken was cooked to perfection, the dressing was yummy and the croutons were just an added bonus!
I will say that the salad was a little over-​saturated with dressing but it was still great!

So this is only my second time at PDQ abs the first one was a Unilocal event so went back to a different location. Absolutely wonderful. We walked in and there were about 8 people ahead of us. The line moved unbelievably fast. I placed my order for 2 of the 3 piece crispy chicken tenders with fries a homenade lemonade and soda. The person making the lemonade told me to wait for the drink and I literally turned around and my name was called before the drink was even finished.
The chicken tenders were fresh hot and super moist. DELICIOUS. The basket was loaded with yummy seasoned fries but there is no way 1 person could finish them. I hate to see food wasted so next time I will just get the tenders and share my husbands fries. You get one sauce with each order so I got ranch and chipolte BBQ and both were fresh and creamy.
If craving chicken I have a new go to place for fresh fast food!

I’m torn on this one. PDQ’s was packed when I took my grandsons for lunch there today. I was waited on quite quickly, but then there was at least a 15– 20 minute wait for the food, which is not great when you are there to feed 2 hungry 4 year olds.
3 piece chicken finger lunch was $ 7.29. It came with fries. Yup, just fries. And they were shoestring fries, which I am not a great fan of because they get cold so darn fast. But these are fresh, not frozen, so that’s plus. Chicken pieces were large, tender and juicy. Quite good. Service was excellent. I loved the fact that staff was on the floor getting you any extras you may need. And they have coke products, hurray! Kids meal was 2 pieces of chicken & fries with a small drink or a box of Yoohoo for $ 3.99. Could have only gotten one to split for the twins because the portions were generous. BBQ sauce and honey mustard was quite good. (They make their own sauces). All in all good food, but not a complete meal like Zaxby’s gives, so seemed a bit skimpy to me. For about $ 1 less Zaxby’s give you about 5 pieces of chicken, fries, coleslaw and a slice of toasted Texas toast.
The restaurant itself is very nice, very contemporary. Nice out door seating with cool mist, indoor seating was scant I felt for the size of the place. As someone there with little ones, I did not like that tall bar type tables were all around the ordering and pick up area. It blocked your view of your seat when your name was called to go pick up your order. So you have to grab your purse, grab your kids and go up to get the food (not wanting to leave 4 year olds alone, even for a few minutes). Now you take a chance at losing your seat. But I realize this is a new place, some kinks need to be worked out. Just a heads up for management as to the inconvenience for moms & grandmoms.
I will definitely be back, hubby will want to try for sure. Food was very good. Nice to have a place like this in Riverview.

Food was amazing and delicious. Holy cow the fries are off the charts good. Service is excellent. Ambience is great. Homemade sauces are top notch. The list goes on here. This place is definitely in a league of it’s own and we are so happy a new one popped up right down the road. Rest assured we will be regular attenders here! If you haven’t tried it yet you are totally missing out. This place will be a big winner in it’s new location in south Riverview.
We were apart of the «training week» preview and they actually gave the food out for free! Talk about a company that knows how to win over a customer base. That little bit of generosity goes a long way, my family will be spending money there for years to come!

From the moment you walk in, the staff is hands down one of the most friendly I’ve experienced at a restaurant in a long time! Everything is clean, the food comes out before you even get seated, and the staff wander the dining area to ensure you have all you need.
I had the grilled chicken salad and it ROCKED! It’s better than most fancy restaurant’s salads!
Icing on the cake? They show love to their local firemen. I mentioned to the waiter I was headed to the fire station to visit my hibs afterward and he returned shortly after w/​chicken sandwiches, fries, cookies, and waters for thos whole station! Those firemen tore it up and loved every bite!
Well done PDQ! We will definitely be back!
