I absolutely love this place… i believe it to be an unknown gem. The dining room is wonderfully comfortable, quaint, elegant, like stepping back in time. Open for dinner only on Friday and Saturday, and brunch on Sunday. The food is basic, nothing too fancy, the owner is the chef, his wife the hostess… i’ve had the duck, steak, sole, crab cakes, all great… good portions and served piping hot. This place is not a scene in any way shape or form… the dining room is seldom half filled and we have been one of only two or three tables being served… but the ambience is quiet, relaxed… very very pleasant. This place is not cutting any new ground with it’s food… it’s basic fare, circa 1966 I would say. Well prepared and plentiful. But we go back for the room and the ambience, it’s just very special.
