I love this local hangout. This is a beautiful Victorian home-turned-semi-coffee-shop/Venue. It’s not much of a coffee house, just an excuse to have somewhere nice to have a cup. The coffee sucks, and the Iced tea is Nestea instant Tea. The thing that makes this place great is the ambiance… you come here to have good chats with wonderful people, listen to live music, attend meetings, or just to have a sweet place to read a good book on a beautiful Summer day.

I was really hoping this place was similar to a coffee house I love in Portland. But man, what a shit show. First if your a coffee house, you need to actually have coffee. Making one pot of sub par coffee is not a coffee house. You can tell this place was great at one time, but at some point the owner just gave up and it’s in a death spiral. Let young stoner guys run the place in your absence is perhaps not the best business choice. In addition to the severe lack of coffee, powdered creamer and open communal open sugar bowl and lack of anything to stir it with shows they have basically given up. The house is awesome and it could be an awesome place if it was infused with a sense of purpose and drive.

I’ve been wanting to go to this place forever because it looks so cool on the outside. However, once we stepped inside it was a totally different vibe. There was no options on the menu except regular coffee. They had no food and when I looked in the fridge there was literally a rotten cabbage in it. The coffee was really gross and could’ve made a better batch myself at home. The staff there were VERY unprofessional. If you’re just looking for a weird spot to «chill» and do nothing more then I guess you would want to stop here but otherwise I would save my time and $.

Went here on a Sunday and from the outside this place looks like a gem, but loses all appeal, once inside. I was told there was no iced coffee«batched up» today, and sorry, there was no lids or anything else you might want to buy, available. The cashier literally told me, «If only you would have come on a Saturday.» What the heck? It’s Sunday, you are open, and don’t have anything on your menu??? Finally, settled(on the only thing they had batched up, apparently) for the house coffee and it was gross. They put milk in it that had been sitting out on a counter… for who knows how long?! No soy or almond milk alternatives available, shocking, I know! When I asked the cashier would he would recommend for food, he stated, «we have these prepackaged snacks.» Yikes! Outside, I couldn’t tell if they were trying to be eclectic or just storing a bunch of junk items. I saw 2 barbecues, yet they didn’t offer anything barbecued on the menu. This place is awesome for buzz words«organic,» «gluten free,» etc. yet fail miserably on their products(most aren’t available on Sundays :) Weird place, weird vibe, won’t be gong back.

This is a coffee house in the loosest sense. Coffee was disgusting. The stoned server must’ve used old coffee grounds. The«fresh» pot that my friend got served from was just as bad as mine. If this is typical, I have no idea how this place stays open. Never going back.

The wife has been dropping hints about this place for a few weeks. I figured it was time. It looked like a really hipster place to eat an organic sandwich for lunch. As we went inside my wife caught one of the workers smoking a joint in the living room. He quickly escaped to the back yard as a courtesy. Thanks bud(get it?) then the guy at the counter explained to us they currently do not serve real food. But we could order food another way just as a friend… what? But i could still get a drink and organic prepackaged popcorn. So to be fair i am sure this spot is great, its obvious from other ratings it is. So I will make my 2 stars a 3.

I really enjoy the organic coffee that this place serves. My fiancé and I stopped by on a Saturday night because we have been wanting to check this place out for some time and we were not disappointed. The coffee was delicious and the atmosphere was pretty cool also. There was sort of an open mic night on the patio and we sat and listened to a few groups play some music. The staff was friendly as well. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This is a great place to go! My wife and I went to drink some organic smoothies and egg plant burgers. The food is decently good. Nick and Cesar were very attentive with us. The service was awesome. We will definitely go back again.

Wow! I hope I showed up on a really, really bad night. My husband and I are coffee junkies and we are moving to the area so naturally we stopped in. The atmosphere was amazing, til we saw the barista. We should have left but we didnt. We asked her to recommend something since it was our first visit, she said we are out of «Fraps»…well that’s not what we wanted. She said they have«regular» coffee, that’s it. I asked to order a hot chocolate along with 3 regular coffees. She opened a packet of carnation hot coco mix and steamed it…3 bucks, and totally not organic as the rest of the shop seams to profess. 12 bucks for a crappy coco and 3 crappy coffees with no cream and no lids to make our trek back we were walking out the front door the bariata and another employee were smoking a blunt. To each there own, I could carless about weed, except the fact that she was so high she couldn’t make a decent cup of coffee and most likely lied about being out of the nessisary ingredients(like I said we love coffee and we aren’t stupid, I own an highly used espresso machine). .she wanted to get back to her blunt… fine, but my 10 year old daughter walked into their cloud if smoke, that was unreal and I could barley belive it, again to each their own but at least smoke on your own time away from a business the dumb brod saw my kid and watched us walk out but she was nonchalant as if my 10 yr old smokes everyday herself… this was the worst coffee shop experience EVER! I’m sure it’s an awesome place, we could tell by the vibe, but the chick working the evening of 6÷5÷15SUCKED!!! This is why people go to yuppy ass starbucks!!! Fire that chick before she smokes all your business away!!! The stars for this review are only because you can tell this place is bad ass when the right people are working…

The Plum House is an interesting, friendly place. The Open Mic Nights are spontaneous and refreshing. The venue is definitely not«corporate» and frequent customers will note that one never know what to expect from the various people who perform there.
