I use to go to the sears optical on Cicero & Cermak(closed now) … anyways, I decided to stick to what I know. and made an appointment here… I went for my eye exam. The lady in the front and the doctor were both very nice BUT when it came time to pick up my glasses, I put them on and COULDNOTSEE! Mind u, instead of two weeks… it took them a month and a half to get me my glasses. I guess the frame I chose was too wide… so it messed up the prescription and the positioning of the lenses… but instead of asking me to choose something different … they kept sending the glasses back. Soooo even though they knew something was wrong with the glasses, they called me to come pick them up. I go and I’m telling you… FRUSTRATING. I been super super nice… tried to be patient. All I wanted was my glasses. So I put them on… and literally feel like I’m about to fall over! I couldn’t see, everything was blurry and my head started hurting… I became soooooooooooooooooooo upset, I could barely talk… all I could do was look at the lady, point at the glasses and said«NO». It took me a minute to compose myself before I opened my mouth… after a month of waiting… I get this. Anyways she was filling in so she couldn’t do much even if she wanted to. Finally I call them the next day… to find out whats going on. I was asked to go in… so the doctor could REEXAMINE my eyes. I said okay… I go in… and she does re examine my eyes… Anyways she says it has to do with the astigmatism of my eyes… that I have too much … she like blames it on my eyes… while saying its also the frame… Okay maybe the astigmatism I have did affect it a bit but at the end of the day, they couldn’t position the lenses correctly on the frame. If thats the case… then don’t carry the frame. They changed the entire frame… and the prescription! Made me wonder if maybe she had given me the wrong prescription to begin with because she was in a hurry to go to a party. Only reason I didn’t ask for my money back was because I wanted my glasses! So when they changed the prescription and the frame… I got my glasses back in two weeks… and mind you, they ‘rush’ ordered them… but I got them on the very last day of the time frame they gave me. So together it took me a month and a half to get my glasses. I won’t be going back here unless its to get my prescription or if I break my glasses(I got the insurance) — but when its time for a new frame… I will be going somewhere new.

Had been going to this office for years. Went to get my eyes checked, ordered glasses and contacts. Paid for them. They came in and I had an add from another store that had the contacts for less. So I asked if they price match. They don’t. Long story short. I was lied to, my wife was insulted and I refused to pay for something that I did not agree to pay for so I took my business elsewhere. According to the Manager, Linda, Sears no longer price matches anything. They also charge almost double for a box of contacts than anyone else. Just bad business. All over a $ 80 price difference on a purchase for contacts and glasses. Sears lost a lifetime of business. Such a shame. When I called to talk to the doctor who had always been wonderful, she could care less and sounded like she was chewing in my ear. So rude.
